The End.

So it's the last day of the year. 2010 beckons. Along with results, Uni applications, course choices, the works. And it won't be our year.

But five days until my birthday! Then I'll be officially legal, take responsibility >.<" and totally take my whole life to a new level. (I think that means freedom of some sort???)

But I guess at the end of our year, we look back at the beginning, and the whole thing that started this life. But we've already been there, done that. So.

Just some things that I have to get done:
1. Finish writing some stories that are still currently under construction. Such as 'Romance Heart'. I wonder how our wonderful IB students who star in this story end up with their...well let's just say that Viv, I haven't forgotten that you are an archbishop-in-making... xD
Well, going to watch a lot of movies, go shopping, swipe my credit card a few times. (I now officially have no qualms about using it because some of my well-earned salary went into my mum's account, which is also my credit card account. And my mum doesn't mind if I spend that money, so hmm.)
Time to catch up with people. Especially if they're overseas. And not get sick of organizing outings, because if the GFM Master, (meaning moi), does not make wise decisions, people would net even bother going out. Actually not really but some of you will get my point.

But that's all for now I think. Maybe I'll write my actual New Year's Resolutions sometime later. As of now, enjoy life, enjoy what's left of this year, (if I haven't told you already), and see you guys next year!!

teh.

Less than a week to go. Most people should know what I mean. And no, I am not talking about my 18th. Though I wish I was talking about it.

But only two more days left in 2009. Less than two days. Which means less than two days and then it will not be our year any more. But as I have said. Life goes on.

Can't be bothered typing any more. Hope people are enjoying their lives and holidays wherever they are and not thinking about next year...

Final day at school... Officially...

OMG Yi-Ling I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU COMMENTED ON THE WRONG POST!!!!!!!!!!!! xD I'll forgive you this time.

So. An update on what has been happening lately in my life? Graduation dinner was on Saturday, and it was ok. Wasn't that good but it wasn't bad. My feet hurt and my cheeks were sore. And added to that, I was a little bit tired from working three days in a row... But we got stuff! Licorice all sorts and a DVD/keyring. Just so you know, our dear Ms Collins, I don't like licorice. Unless it's raspberry or apple. >.> But I watched the Class of '09 DVD. As a side note for the makers of the DVD, the drama was not in fact the Year 8 drama, but in fact the Year 7 drama. The Year 8 drama was the one where we wrote the script ourselves based on different clues, (it was a murder? mystery) and I distinctly remember that in our 8D play, Viv and Kath were playing *mushy-mushy*, otherwise known as they 'fell' in love at the end of the play. But the video wasn't that bad. It could have had more of the correct year levels, not other people from other year levels, but I'm sure that they didn't know that...

So. Rehearsals for Speech Night. Killing me. I'm actually quite tired today due to the fact that I slept late. So I woke up late. And as a consequence was late for Senior Strings. Do I look as if I care? No. But today's rehearsal was quite amusing. Only towards the end though. Squibby allowed the Year 12's to go up and conduct. Only three out of seven went up. Vicky, Yi-Ling and Amy. Quite hilarious Yi-Ling. You should conduct more often.

Did you know the gift card for Sportsgirl is really really small. Like minuscule. Seriously it's like nearly half the size of a normal credit card... But it's also quite adorable, so I'll just leave it there.

Viv just found a facebook comment photo of Edward Cullen, Cedric Diggory and Tom Riddle. It's here, (http://papertissue.tumblr.com/page/15) around halfway and a bit down the page. It's quite hilarious. I'll stop here so I can go and get my daily dose of manga... Enjoy life!! (Oh and also the little video of the kitten just above this facebook comment photo. It's really cute. Viv could watch it for an entire day...)

quack, piano, the end, castle, bones... and avocado???

Avocados... This is for all you avocado lovers out there. Don't ask why, but yes. I was just thinking on Sun how I wanted to watch Bones and Castle, and then it was like the alphabet, which I have a little something about, and so it was c for castle, then b for bones, and then a for avocado. I seriously don't know where it came from...

But quack? Last week I went to the park with my dad to work off my IB baby, (yes I know) and as we were crossing one of the bridges, I noticed these two baby ducks swimming around in the water under the bridge. So I stop and watch, and realize that there are actually six baby ducks in total and their mummy. Two of the baby ducklings were really adorable, because there was this little concrete embankment that they were on top of, and they had to jump down, but appeared to be too scared in doing, because they kept on waddling from side to side on the embankment and watching the water. So cute. And I stayed there watching them until they finally plucked up the courage to jump into the water. Seriously, they are sooooooo adorable.

My piano teacher had to go to hospital twice. I really hope she gets better, but apparently she's not going to teach anymore, so now I have to go find a new piano teacher. But at the moment, I'm being taught by her daughter, who apparently is a really famous professor of music in Germany. But hmmm... Praying for her.

So many things have finished this year for me. So many things have happened to me this year. Not all things have been good, but they haven't been that bad. Life in general is okay still. Which is good. But I have finally managed to blog, which is a positive in this life now filled with rehearsals for Carol Service and Speech Night. But I can't wait until Graduation Dinner. xD

Monday, November 23, 2009

Why why why? Why do we still have to go to orchestra and senior strings rehearsals? I'm actually just really over rehearsing for Speech Night. And I still have to play at Carol Service with the quartet. Hmph. It's really getting on my nerves.

But moving on, I did a bit of work on Friday and Saturday. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either. Thank goodness on Friday it rained and it began to cool down otherwise I would have died. Saturday was just perfect, and I managed to serve a lot of people. It's quite interesting to see what people do when they think no-one else is looking. Especially if it's little kids in the kids toys section. And to think that in one day, I sold like nearly 5 spray bottles! People gearing up for a very hot Summer. And Christmas.

So, so far for my holidays, I kick started it with some shopping. Then went out and going out. Now all that's left is to get Speech Night over with, Graduation first though, (Gloria, you are so going to be embarrassed at Graduation xD) and all these rehearsals. I'll try and ignore Squibby for the moment. xP

I was watching Bones and Castle yesterday and I was wondering why I like these particular series so much. Whilst others prefer stuff like Packed to the Rafters etc.etc. You get the point. It's quite intriguing...

freedom=manga

Well Viv wanted me to blog, so here it is...

So. The past few days after exams have finished for me. How have they been? ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC!! Went shopping on Friday, which was my first full day of freedom, it was actually the whole day just shopping. My feet really hurt after. Adeline was also complaining about how usually we would be able to spend like a full week shopping and not be tired, but on Friday, just after a few hours, we were like spent. Not to mention that I was nearly broke. But I still had like $30 left over, and I didn't spend over $100 on Friday. It seemed as if all the shops had awesome sales and stuff, or it was just that they had appeared to lower prices, so everything seemed really cheap and stuff. Or was that just me?

And I've spent quite a bit of time reading manga... As usual. But most of you should already know that by now. I really need to watch anime, but I'm quite busy at the moment just watching mv's...

And I'm getting a job. Every Saturday... I'm quite excited yet not really. Because when it's raining, it's freezing cold, but when it's hot. Geez, I am so dead. I'll probably die of heatstroke or something. But hopefully it won't get too bad.

Fiona is sitting next to me right now playing games... Hmm... I haven't played any games so far, maybe I should... She's rather enjoying herself.

Btw, did everybody get their Grad tickets? I got mine yesterday. Looked at the envelope and was like, Yep, I know what's in there... xD

Well Viv, I hope you're happy now, I blogged. So be happy and Good Luck for Latin!

exams, IB shirts, ladida...

So. I'm still not finished with exams. Just paper 3 for chemistry to do tomorrow during class. So I don't have to stay after school today. That's pretty good. More time to go home and study... since it is on both Options...

But I counted up my exams. I have I think 15 exams? That's not too bad, but I guess my actual exam schedule in November will be really hectic, since I finish exams on the 12th (or is it the 13th?) and everyone else like a week later of even after that. So too bad to all those people who finish near the end of November, because I'll have had like a very long time to go out and enjoy my freedom. It also means that I get more days than those unlucky people of freedom. Though I'm not legal as of yet, so yes...

And we got out IB shirts. They are absolutely awesome! I was walking down the Year 10 corridor in the morning yesterday, and as I passed a few people, I heard them say, "Look! It's an IB... (something-or-rather, I didn't quite hear the rest)". Yes. Well you can imagine that I was very pleased when I heard that. xD I guess the thing I am most surprised about was the fact that it was Tanji who organized the shirts and ordered and distributed. Very reliable yeah?

I have a spare last period. I may edit and add more, or I may just leave it here. But as for now, bye bye and enjoy life.

Inspirational

Well I did promise that I would write a post today. And here it is. Recently, I make up a little song using Viv's 'Fitness First' bottle as inspiration. Quite cool actually. But just a little preface so you know some extra details for the reason for this song. Now Viv's bottle, it's not entirely pop-top tight you know? So whenever you squeeze the bottle, if there's enough water, it bubbles, if there's no water at all, it farts and if there's a little water, it just sounds plain weird. And I have a little obsession with squeezing the bottle just to get people's reactions. It's good to see people's faces when I squeeze the bottle in their face. xP

So the lyrics are to the song "Do You Hear The People Sing?" from Les Miserables. If you don't know what it is, or do know and have never seen or heard it, well go and see it. It's really good!

*Chorus:
Do you hear the bot-tle sing?
Singing the song of bubbly-ness,
It is the mu-sic of a bottle that will ne-ver be suppressed.
So when the beating of your heart,
echoes the sound from the bottle,
You will regret the fact that you never sang along.

Verse:
Will you join in our crusade to ensure victory is here?
For in your eyes I see the pool of water deep inside,
The sweat of the bottle will water the bubbles of froth!
(Lift hand up in the air as if you're holding up a bottle. And that you're drunk.)

(Repeat Chorus)*

I hope you liked it. I sure did. xD

Long Overdue Update

Well it's Sunday. And in a sense, that's not very good, because that means that tomorrow is Monday and the beginning of the school week... But apart from that, it's not that bad.

And here are the funny 'tv guide' quotes that I promised a whilst ago. Well, some of them, since they're quite a couple. Finally got around to writing them down and I take no responsibility for if they offend you. They weren't written by me, (disclaimer) but some I find extremely hilarious.
1. Keith Jarret. The Art of Improvisation - Learn how to improvise long, drawn out, evasive answers to questions such as "Why are you so late to work again?" that will confuse your boss and amuse your colleagues.
hmmmm... interesting. I should have watched it for future reference...
2. So You Think You Can Dance - No, that's just the way this rash makes me walk.
3. Police Rescue Wild Cards - The team chase down and capture all the wild cards from an Uno pack, making the card game considerably less wild.
Now I don't really get that one as much, but I love this next one.
4. Weatherwatch Overnight - Live updates of weather forecasts from around the globe, so insomniacs and shift workers can imagine themselves not sleeping in more temperate climates.
And another one:
5. Weatherwatch Overnight - Don't let this cloud your opinion of Melbourne's weather.
6. San Remo Song Festival - Includes the classic songs 'Preservatives make the pasta lasta' and 'Don't knock gnocchi', plus the popular non-spaghetti-eating competition in which a student household is challenged to make a meal that is not spag bol.
7. A Current Affair - Mrs Sultana accuses her husband of having an affair with his secretary, Ms Currant, after she sees them together on a lunch date. But Mr Sultana swears he was just giving her a raisin salary.
Last one for today that I'm sure some certain people would absolutely love:
8. Agatha Christie's Miss Marple - They do it with Mirrors. Well, they're kinky, aren't they?

Yes, just enjoy and wait for the next few quotes to be posted up. Which should be soon hopefully.

Arrow

Well, Monash Uni Open Day yesterday. Got a lot of good freebies. Such as a teddy bear, which I named Arrow. If you want to know why, you have to ask me in person, but I may not necessarily answer your question. Got free speakers! And they work! I connected it up to my ipod last night and they're actually pretty good. Then we made these bouncy balls, and it was so hilarious when Karen and Viv were playing two-square and Karen accidentally bounced it into some random's bag. Had to chase after the random lady and ask for it back. xD. Full details on Viv's blog?

Well I saw another weird thing today. You know those monster trucks? Well not monster, but like those big trucks that you need to stretch to get into? Well they have instructions on the door that inform you how to get into the truck, and I swear that the order of pictures to get in and get out are just swapped around. Seriously. So why bother to put both at all? Just put the pictures, and then an arrow one way that says 'Get in this way' and an arrow the other way saying 'Get out this way'???

Well I will update full on later. Don't have time now.

p.s. I'm thinking of putting up these extremely hilarious quotes from my weekly tv guide that we get. I can't believe these people do this just to make people read the guide, but I read it. And no I do not just read it for fun, I actually plan my time using it. >.>

UMAT

OMG OMG OMG. UMAT today. So many people. More than half of them weren't even in Year 12. But it wasn't so bad. The view was pretty good. And I think that the UMAT was a little stupid. If we weren't supposed to go onto the next section without them saying so and we couldn't go back to a section after we did another section, then what's the point of giving us the whole thing in one booklet? I swear one guy I was sitting next too broke these rules. And they didn't even pick him up for it.

Funnily enough, I had the song 'One Step at a Time' by Jordin Sparks stuck in my head throughout the whole UMAT. And I managed to finish all the questions, though I might have guessed a couple. Hmmmm.

I saw a few randomly weird things on telly the other day. Or maybe last week or something like that. One was either on ABC or SBS and it was like this New Year's Concert in Vienna by some random orchestra. Well when I tuned in, the conductor was conducting right, and little by little, members of the orchestra left. The conductor mimed confusion at this and yes a few people in the audience laughed. Then there were two musicians left. Leader of orchestra, first violinist and I'm guessing lead violist... <--is that right? So the conductor sits next to the violinist and pats his head, like good boy for staying. Then he goes to join the violist and conducts that person. The violinist leaves. Conductor moves forward to watch the violinist leave in a sort of nostalgic way, and the violist sneaks off. The conductor turns around and stands on his podium, and pretends to conduct. There is no-one to conduct. Audience cracks up laughing at his perplexed expression. Etc. You get the point.

Then the second thing was after this, also the same program. The orchestra was playing an excerpt from a ballet or something. And randomly in the middle of the piece, the camera cuts to these six children, three boys and three girls, dressed up like angels and some sort of nymph or bird with a weird tail respectively dancing along to the music. I wonder who the choreographer was. Because they portrayed as the boys trying to hook up with the girls, and seriously, highly hilarious. Then it cuts back to the orchestra. And this goes on for quite a while, each time cutting to the dancers in a different area of the building and still dancing ballet. Then as the piece is nearing the end/climax, the dancers dance their little merry way into the auditorium. Amazing what you can see if the dancers are dancing behind you. Yes well now the dancers to a little couple dance and I swear, the girls are all taller than the boys. And not just because they were on tiptoe. You could tell that the audience was rather perplexed, especially when the dancers lifted their legs up and nearly kicked some audience members in the face. Piece ends, dancers pose, wave at the conductor, he waves back, they leave. I mean, what was that??

English practice orals tomorrow. Biology quiz. Economics commentaries. HL Bio. Conversation class. What a boring day. Quartet rehearsal for wedding next week. Wow. I'm playing at a wedding again!! Yay. They're actually quite fascinating, the variation at weddings. And our somehow limited repertoire. But we are glad to say that we will be attempting to expand this repertoire. From Canon to Bach and Mozart. And we might even attempt some pieces at the back of the quartet folders. Simply delightful. Not.

More great expectations? Or just to stress?

well finally go the biology practical report over and done with. Not that my calculations were very good. Nor was my conclusion and evaluation. Only 10 lines or so. But I guess my intro and sources of error/ modifications made up for that. 1 and a half pages each. Wow. Longest bio prac I think I've ever written.

So more expectations. Just because the UMAT is in less than two weeks, no I'm not allowed out to watch Harry Potter. Or is it Henry Potter??? Apart from Symphony Rehearsals tomorrow, and church on sunday, simply too busy? Yea sure. But the homework load is simply exhausting. Henriques is just getting on my nerves. and all these due dates and what not is stressing.

OMG I just realised TOK is due soon. And World Lit 1. And you lucky SL students don't have to do World Lit 2. Hmph. Still can't really decide whether I will do Chronicle or not. It's not like I liked the book a lot, but I guess I don't think I could possibly write enough. Urgh. I'll just pretend it never happened for now. xD

Failed maths test. Majorly. Why is it that questions asked on exams and tests are never the same as in set work? Always different layout and always different wording! No wonder I don't like maths as much. AS for chem, it's not that bad now. But chinese is stressing me out a little.

That just reminded me! Ms Wang looks sooooooooo pretty in her wedding photos! One of my personal favorites was the one where they're on the beach, and there's a white piano just on the sand, (think of it, a WHITE PIANO!!!) and she's seated at the piano, miming playing it whilst her now husband stand behind it and they're both watching the camera. Of course it's not the best picture of all the wedding photos they took, but as said before, one of my personal favorites. And the dresses she wears! Magnificent. There's this particular dress that I found rather intriguing. Colour scheme of light pink, deep pink, light green and dark green. And ruffled at that. But overall, a very nice combination. And some of the photos taken even looked like they were taken in Greece! Wow. Now one of Wensi's goals in life is to get married and take CHEAP PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOS in China. That would be cool, but not in the Summer, rather Autumn, with the red leaves or winter, because then there'd be rain. But enough for now. Teh.

Expectations... or Great Expectations

Well it's the first day of school today. Stressed out already. Can't even remember what I did over the holidays. Well I do remember some of it, but not all of it...

So expectations. I had this sudden realization over the holidays (yes I did have them, however short), and suddenly it's like I knew some things that I didn't know before. Like how much your parents put into you, more like force knowledge into your brain by heaps and heaps of tutoring lessons and music if you have rather asian parents. As so wonderfully pointed out by one of my new facebook friends. They expect so much from you as well, and I kind of cracked it over the holidays. Though of course I spent the next few days in a sort of weird silence. But it's all good now. xD

So my mum came back from Vietnam and Hong Kong last week. Good because now I have so many new clothes it's not really funny. So no more clothes shopping for me until next year. Well not until I go overseas. Then I can go splurge. Okay maybe not on clothes but on other stuff. >.>

Well I don't know what else to post now. I've posted, that's good, so maybe I'll update this post later or something.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Viv is forcing me to update, so here it is.

Well it's holidays so obviously there goes the days spent in front of the television or the computer, your choice. And then there are those days when I am forced to leave the comfort of the house and go to random lessons and work, of all things...

But the work isn't too bad. Learnt quite a few things, and the employee half-price policy. Quite good. Bought a couple of things that I shouldn't have... xD Actually well I can always use them later.

And planning for outings with friends. I'm sick of it. So I don't care if people don't reply or not. Got Gloria to organize. It feels good, not needing to stress about if people are coming or not.

State Library on Thurs. For maths and a little of bio. Though if I remember correctly last time we decided to go to State to do bio, nothing much happened at all. Would have been more productive at home.

So I updated. Be happy Viv. I mean GFM#1. xD

Saturday, June 20, 2009

So last night was the Grand Concert. Quite amusing actually with the Senior Committee dressing up, no thanks to some 'certain' people who decided not to dress up properly and get into the spirit... But I guess it was better than previous Grand Concerts that's I've played in. And the fact it was my last one? :(
But the turnout was amazing this year. Even the balcony was filled! I guess it must the the awesome posters that Voonie, our wonderful Music Captain put up. And we go to take the posters at the end. Souvenirs right? xD
So to the music. First half was just, don't even go there. Didn't like much of it. So I decided to chat with the Senior Committee and comment on their costumes. Loved Charms' costume and Meeeras'. Elle Woods and Phantom respectively. But I'm straying away from the music. Second half was the best, of course as always since it was Senior Strings, Melba and Symphony Orchestra. Needless to say, we rocked the house with Indiana Jones, and you could tell people loved the Pride and Prejudice, the way people were gasping as they recognized the music, and the silence/reverence with which they were listing to Gabriel's Oboe. (Or Ying the soloist in this case)
Then I got Full Music Colors!! Yay and finally. Won't go on there. But there was this little incident involving Ying and Joan, and simply hilarious that I said I would post. So here it is.
Well if you didn't know, the top of the oboe is a reed with the player blows through in order to make the sound. And it must be kept wet otherwise it will dry out and it'll either be hard to play or no sound will come out. I'm not sure... But moving on. So Ying was just standing there with her reed in her mouth standing like she always does, and Joan walks up, pulls the reed out of Ying's mouth and walks off. It takes Ying around two seconds before she realizes what has just happened and then the turns around and chases Joan. *Shakes head in disappointment* Then a few minutes later, because Ying has been holding her oboe underneath her blazer for quite a while, keeping it warm I suppose, and Joan catches sight of the end of the oboe sticking out from beneath Ying's blazer, and she exclaims.
"Why are you holding a torch Yi-Ling?" and she proceeds to reach for the supposed 'torch' and as she pulls it out into the light, the seemingly never-ending 'torch' is revealed to actually be an oboe! Ta-dah! One amazing magic trick! (A torch into a musical instrument? Who would've thought...?) Just cracked up laughing. A very good way to remember the last Grand Concert of my life. And that's it for now.

Fishy boat

Here we go with another boring commentary. Well for the rest of this week, the SL math classes are joined under the wonderful supervision of the one and only Mr. Renshaw. And can I add his little daughter is soooo cute. ^^ Anyway, so it was Tanji's birthday yesterday and today she had a few balloons left over in her locker. So here I come up with a wonderful idea to scare K.Lee, who by the way is rather scared of balloons and popping balloons in particular. During our math double break, we took a pin and the essential balloon, called out K.Lee into the corridor, and when she saw the balloon, she immediately headed back into the classroom but Tanji popped it behind her as she was halfway through the door. The look on her face was priceless! xD

Anyway, I decided that I'm going to print all this piano concerto and play them. Currently I'm printing Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, using the school printers. They should be glad I'm printing double sided, even though we're the ones paying for it...

Okay I probably should stop blabbering now. And maybe go on Gaia... heh.

freeeeeeeeeeeeee

Somehow I can't believe that we'll never see our EE again. EVER. Full stop. And I'm still not happy with it. Just scared I suppose that when they do turn-it-in on mine that it'll come up with something like 30-40% plagiarised... I can be sure of one thing. None of those percentages will be from my internet sources, you know why? Since my EE is in subject chinese, and written in chinese, and the internet sources were all in english, you get my point??? xD

Talking about english, today was really awesome. And yes, it's my little skylark. Actually no, it's Fiona's skylark. It's my NO-RA. Geez Em, what's with the laugh when NO-RA sounds like MEE-RA? Hmph. But she's one weird person, you have to agree.

Now TOK. First draft due Wed. If not then you can't do it over the holidays. Well you don't know what to fix. And then final draft due first day back term 3! So stuffed...
oh wow another joint blog
savvvvyyy ?
hi viv

what a pink blog....

HOW DELIGHTFUL, YOUR LITTLE SKYLARK IS HERE!

^________^

hello

Looks like i've been invited into a group blog.

Where is sav anyway?
