Dream fragments

Driving on 114. Headed back from a school play. It's raining. Fred is driving ahead of me. I see him walking towards us in his yellow coat. I drive past him and barely miss falling off an uncompleted road. We have to get home! Fred says there is no other way, but I know we can get to Irving and it's quicker than going to 35 all the way to Dallas. I stop and ask for directions.

It's a race now. We have to get off this highway before something happens. There is a line up, but I'm first in line to go through the gate. I have to call my parents to come, but they are wanting to wait. I have to get Fred to go. There really isn't room for an extra body in the car because of the car seats, so he is behind us. (Ivy and me).

I have to go back for some reason. Cars are building up, but I didn't lose my place in line. I did lose my keys! One woman is there handing out people's keys. She is doing magic tricks and the keys appear. She is annoyed with me. The magic trick involves pulling terry bands as if you're crocheting. I'm not quite able to do it right. I'm able to make a key ring appear, but that's about it. Finally she just tosses me my keys. Lots of plastic cards hanging off the keys. I guess I had to many key chains or something.

I begin racing like a video game. I'm good at the game, but I have smashed my car. We can get points to buy a new car. It's a mixed between a racing game and the tobaggon ride at Six Flags. B is in the bucket of the car strapped. I want Fred to sit with B to make sure he is safe. Fred takes over driving while I navigate.

I don't know where this fits in, but I'm up high holding B. I'm afraid we will fall. I am trying to hand B to people, but they don't want to take him. They are paranoid about dropping him. I remember handing him down to someone, I think Fred. It's a bit wobbley handing B down.

No room at the inn

Tonight Fred and I will be sleeping in the manger. We have a king sized bed. Yes, those are animals end to end. Here is how bedtime went tonight:
"Just one more aminal."
"You need to say goodnight to Gwinch."
"You forgot Ewaphant."
"Tuck me in."
"Tuck my kitty in."
"B needs his aminal."
"Tuck carebear in."
I didn't get much of a word in tonight. Except to say, "THERE IS NO MORE ROOM IN THE BED!"

Knock him down!

It's wayyyy to early!

S'ang present and future

Can you imagine an old B, pushing his little walker? He'll probably have that much hair. Hopefully he won't be as short though.

Noella, this song is for you

Today Noella would have turned 28.

If you were lucky enough to know Nella, you would know what a beautiful spirit she was. She looked deep into you and loved you for the person you are. Somehow, she always knew what you really were thinking. Noella drew people to her; she had a radiant soul and it shone.

When you were around Noella, you could feel her energy wrap around you.
Noella loved and she was loved. When you love someone, they will always live.
I don't even have to close my eyes and I can still smell her essence. I never liked the smell of cigarettes, but for some reason I always loved the smell on her. Perhaps it was just because it always felt so good holding on to her.
Noella loved watching fireflies. I remember one night, she took Ivy and me to her favorite spot to see them glow. Noella was like a firefly, glowing brightly and free. Every one in a while, I see Noella flickering on Earth.
One night, we stayed up all night to look at falling stars. Noella shone more brightly than any star in the sky. Every time I see a falling star, I remember Noella.
Happy Birthday, Noella.

Look who is in the intro!

Yes, that's my special little girl!

Vote, it's patriotic!

Today is New Hampshire's primaries. The sun is out. If it weren't for all this snow, you would think that it's just another Springtime day. Can it be a metaphor of what is to come? Let's hope so!
A progression of M and her patriotism:

Even S'ang wants in the action.

Okay, so they can't really vote, but we all know who M has her vote.
It's funny, while watching TV the other day, an ad for Clinton and M said, "Go Obama!" There was no mention of Obama. I didn't know that she paid that much attention to the campaigns.

Happy New Year!

It's not New Year's until you get a kiss;

(although this pictures were from yesterday)
Are you crazy, wake up my kids at midnight?
What is New Year's without the traditional black eye peas?

Black eyed pea enchiladas with white bean garlic sauce that is.

Something that I came up with on a whim.
Filling
1 cup black eyed peas cooked
1 broccoli stalk
1 broccoli stalk
1 cup corn
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 chili peppers
tomato paste
cilantro
lime

Finely chop broccoli, onions, garlic and pepper. Sautee peppers. Add onions, broccoli and garlic and cook until broccoli is tender. Add the peas and corn. Add enough tomato paste to color the mix. Turn off heat. Throw in cilantro. Squeeze some lime.

Warm corn tortillas and fill. Pour sauce over it

White bean sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 can white beans
water
salt
paprika

blend beansin food processor. Slowly add water until there is a creamy consistency, thicker than hummus but thinner than soup.

Bake in oven on 350 for 30 minutes.

Here is to a peaceful New Year!!!
