Fabulous Feedsack Quilt Found!

Well, I can't say this was a thrifty find but it was a fabulous find! This little lap quilt, made of vintage feedsack pieces, was once upon a time completely hand-stitched and hand-tied. Yet it was without stains or tears when I found it. The lovely primitive nature of this quilt was so appealing, I just had to have it.

You can probably see some of my vast collection of feedsacks on the shelves behind the wicker cottage chair. I'm currently selling some quilt squares at my new Etsy Shop as I have far too many to use all by myself. I do love those vintage patterns and colors!

M is for Maggie and Myron!

Maggie is my grand niece who, with her mother, volunteers for an Illinois shelter for hard to place dogs. She adopted Myron who had been found wandering along a road in Georgia with his eyes so matted they had to be removed. But Myron is no sissy!
He plays with the other dogs and has a great life now!
