Baseball!

Nick's playing baseball (coach pitch) this fall.  His first game was on Saturday, and he was ecstatic about playing in a "real" game.  So, mostly for the out-of-towners, here is a little video of his first at-bat.  I asked him about his new swing, and he said he's copying McCutchin (plays for the Pirates, Mike's favorite MLB team).  He also requests that the coach pitch it "straighter and faster."  I think he means that he wants less of a lob, and more of an actual pitch.  Oh well, at least he didn't throw the bat when he struck out and had to use a tee, right?!?

And, his on-base celebration after his first-ever baseball hit:

And although David didn't get to play, he's THE BEST KID EVER--here he is, asleep, after putting HIMSELF to bed.  (And this is not a one-time thing.  When he's tired, he goes and gets into bed, and is asleep in under two minutes, I swear.)  Oh, how I love this little one!  And that's not a mole on his face, that's Oreo crumbs--he got a snack, then went to bed :)

September Happenings

Here's my lame attempt at catching up: posting a bunch of pictures. Oh well, at least Grandma will like it!

I went to Prince Edward Island last week with my mom and my sister.  It's the trip we were planning before I went and got engaged and screwed our plans up!  So, we finally did it--only took us nine years!  But we figured we'd better go now, while we have the chance.  It was a long trip there and back, but I got to spend lots of time with my two faves, and there were no whining kids for 3 whole days!!

THE Green Gables--no Gilbert in sight, though...

While I was gone, the boys went fishing.  Notice David, my snazzy dresser.  He LOVES those boots!

Nick caught a "lobster"

Not too impressed with Dad's fish....

This kid could fish all day--he absolutely loves it

Aforementioned "lobster," taking his revenge.

And what all-boys trip would be complete without small children using firearms?!?
