Tron: Legacy
For all you kids of the 80s that dug it then, a Tron: Legacy trailer with the soundtrack from Daft Punk killing it:
Although not the best movie I've ever seen, it is a stunning movie to watch. And, if you spent more than an hour of your life in front of a Tron video game at an arcade, you'll get this movie.
I also saw True Grit over the break, too. Good grief, I do so love Jeff Bridges. Being from Arkansas, I'm always a little bothered when they cast someone like Nicole Kidman to play a "southern" character, however, the L.A.-born, Jeff Bridges nails it as Rooster Cogburn! I mean, the old cuss nailed it.
Also, the opening scene has what I thought was the hymn, "Oh How Wonderful, Oh How Marvelous" (I can thank my Baptist private elementary school roots for knowing that), but I don't think it is. Maybe it's an original score? If you know, let us know. Have a listen to the song here:
The Coen bros made a really good movie. The acting is fantastic. You should go see it. My only beef with it is that it's not filmed in Arkansas. A friend said it was filmed in New Mexico. Hardly, fellas, but, good try and good movie.
