Once there was a snowman...

Max got to build his first snowman the other day. What kid doesn't love to play in the snow? He and his dad went out worked on it. We didn't have a carrot for his nose, so we made do with a potato. Max had a lot of fun, he running around and making snow angels too. Happy Snow! I'm having trouble posting pics, so you'll see them soon.

Sadie turns 1!

Happy Birthday Sadie! I can't believe it's been a year. Cute little Sadie is already one! Sadie was born last year on New Year's Day. She was the first baby born at Lakeview Hospital, so it is a fun memory for us and will be for her someday!
We had two different Birthday parties for her, one with the van Uitert's and the other with the Turville's, so she got to tear into two cakes for her birthday! She had no problem getting dirty at all. She was dainty at first, picking at the frosting with her little fingers. Within a few minutes, it was all over the place! Frosting in her face, in her hair, her hands covered in cake. We put her in the tub to get cleaned up...If we didn't I think she would have eaten the whole thing!
Sadie is the happiest little baby. She's always got a smile on her face, which is extra cute now because she has two new teeth (they are her I teeth, so she looks like a little "dracula") She's a really fast crawler, she books it around the house. She can stand on her own, but is not to interested in walking. She's always nodding her head yes and can say ma ma, da da, and duck(milk). She's grown up so fast, I can't believe how the time flies. We love ya Sade!

Happy *** New Year!

Brought in the new year with a Bang! (Literally) This year we went to my parent's house for dinner. My Mom and Dad make the Best shrimp dinner around. It was a lot of fun. We pretty much just ate the whole night....one shrimp after another! We just hung out and vegged while the guys watched movies and the kids played. It was great...although I would have liked to have played a game of Snorta...Dad! Oh well...there will be plenty of time for that...Meeoooow.....Ksssksss!
When midnight arrived, we decided we better get out and bang some pots and pans and toot some horns! My dad also shot off his power rifle (don't really know if that's the right name for it?) a few times, Kelsey even had a turn this year! How can you beat that?

Merry Christmas!

What a fun Christmas we had this year! It's always fun and something I look forward to. It's been a busy month. (seeing how it's January 14th and I'm finally updating) The kids were so cute opening their presents. It was so fun to see how excited Max was for Santa to come. The thing he wanted most was a vacuum! I know it sound weird...but he couldn't stop talking about it. He was more excited about that than his new bike. Sadie was having a good time with all the paper and taking ornaments off the tree. She got a little Cupie Doll for Christmas. I couldn't resist...I think it looks just exactly like her!

We also had a lot of fun with our families this year. My sister Kristin and her husband Jared drove 15 hours from Kansas to be here. It was fun to see them. Max was so excited to see Brayden and "Jackie". It was a lot of fun having them here. We had a girls day out with my mom and my sisters went to lunch and went shopping. The kids got to have a sleepover at Grandma Turvilles. We even went to see the lights at Temple Square as a family. I hope they had a fun trip...we had a great time with them here.
Brad's brother Todd and his family also flew in from Texas. It was great to see them too. Max loves to play with Sam, they like to wrestle. Abby likes teaching the boys in her "school", she's a great teacher. I think Isaac looks forward to playing nintendo with his Dad and Uncle Brad. Ethan and Sadie just crawl around together. We had fun hanging out with these guys. We went to a movie with all the kids, had many family parties and Jen and I even managed to fit in a trip to Target!
To say the least it was a busy and fun filled Christmas Season! I'm glad we were able to get together with family and have a good time!

Disneyland!

I think I was more excited about our Disneyland trip than our kids were. It was so fun planning and getting ready to go. I felt like a little kid on Christmas Eve the night before we left. I gave the kids a pair of Disney PJ's to sleep in the night before and they got a phone call from Mickey. He was letting them know he was excited they were coming. It think I seriously started crying a little I was so excited! (not that that is suprising if you know me.) We went the week after Thanksgiving and had a three day pass. It was so fun because the Christmas decorations were up in the park and every night it "snowed" on Main Street. The weather was great and the lines were short! (We'll definitely be going back again this same time of year!) Max was in heaven meeting all the characters. Besides Mickey, his favorite character he saw was Sully from Monsters Inc. He ran up to him and gave him a big hug. It was way cute. (He's been obsessed with Monsters Inc. lately) His favorite rides were probably Buzz Lightyear and Splash Mountain. He was giggling the whole time! Sadie did great too. She was able to go on most the rides with us. She flirted with everyone, smiling and waving at the people in line, it kept us entertained! The trip couldn't have been better, it was a blast!
