The fourth of July parade

In our family we always attend the Ada Fourth of July parade.  It was a pretty hot morning but we found a nice spot in the shade.  Anna had quite the candy haul this morning- more than Halloween, I thnk!

Anna's story as dictated to Mommy (age almost 4 1/2)

Once upon a time there was a cat named Striped Cat who was playing with a friend called Brown Cat on a see saw.  And then her went in her house because she was having a birthday party with her friend Gray Cat, too.  Them went outside and have a picnic with everyone together.  And them had food with it.  Then them went at a festival and then them went on a horse.  Striped Cat said, "Now we have to go back home and go in our beds."  "Now it's morning," Brown Cat said.  n the morning them woke up in six minutes in the morning.  "Now we are eating lunch," said Brown Cat.  "Now we are all done having our lunch today," said Striped Cat.  "Now we are going to get some leaves and explore nature and go to school," said Gray Cat.  And them went back and got ready for snow.  Then them made a snowman.  "Now it's not snowing.  Now we are going back inside," Brown Cat said.  "Now it's nighttime again," Striped Cat said.  Then them friend Turtle said, "We are going to have another picnic."  Then Striped Cat comed out, too.  And then Striped Cat brought a cake out.  And them went for another festival in the morning.  In the morning they went in the festival.  Next Striped Cat said, "Now it's nighttime."  "And then it was morning," Brown Cat said.  Them are going to a store today.  And then they went to get an apple from a tree in them's yard.  And then they went in them's house.  And then brown cat said, "Every night we forgot our vitamins."  "Now it's lunchtime," Gray Cat said.  "Now let's have lunch now."  Then them's mommy said, "You are going to have your lunch with some vitamins in it.  Because every day you forget your vitamins.  You are going to have some juice with the vitamins.  Now you are going to have a little doughnut sandwich with rasberries in it."  "Now it's nighttime," Daddy cat said.  "Now it's morning again," Brown Cat said.  "Now we are having everybody here at our house in the world," said Brown Cat."  "Now we are going to go for another picnic today," said Striped Cat.  "Now we are going to our Keiley's house," Brown Cat said.  And them went with Keiley to a museum where their Mommy and Daddy did not come, too.  "Now we are going to the north pole," said Gray Cat on the airplane.  "Now we are going to China," said Striped Cat.  "Now we are drawing with markers in our house today," Brown Cat said.  "Now we are going to have lunch today," said Mommy Cat when they got back from the museum.

Anna patiently waited for me to write this out by hand.  Next time I will just type it!
