A video from early August

This is a video that I never got around to posting. The three of us were meeting a bunch of friends at Tunnel Park in Holland to hang out and have dinner together. We quickly had to relocate- hit play on this video to see why.

Food Allergy Walk

This Saturday Bryan, Anna and I will be participating in the Food Allergy & Anaphalaxis Network Walk for Food Allergy. (Or at least, I will be participating to the best of my ability. I have been strictly forbidden by Bryan to walk the full two miles due to my surgery.) All proceeds go to the FAAN organization to fund food allergy education, food allergy research and legislation efforts related to food allergy labeling laws. If you'd like more information please visit the Team Anna Marie webpage.

Silly video from June or July

I don't remember exactly when this video was taken. Anna has learned to take off her diaper. Sigh.

Mothers and More Harvest Party

Tonight we went to a harvest party at an orchard with my Mom's group. We went on a hayride, fed the animals, went for a ride on the pumpkin train and have a bonfire with marshmallows. McKeiley and her mom came too and we had such a fun time!

One week post-surgery

My surgery was a week ago and I am feeling much better! I was only in the hospital overnight after my surgery. I drove tonight for the first time and am starting to be able to (briefly) lift Anna again. I should be able to return to holding Anna as much as I'd like in another week. For anyone who is curious, this is the procedure I had:
Considering I had an organ removed my recovery has been very fast. I was getting dehydrated and a little dizzy so I had to go get some IV fluids yesterday. Other than that I'm feeling great, just a little sore.

A very exciting day

I am in St. Louis for the week with Anna. This morning at 3:30 I woke my parents and told them I thought I might need to see a doctor. We arrived at the emergency room at 4:30 and now, about 13 hours later, I am sitting in a hospital enjoying rasberry sherbert after the successful removal of my gall bladder and its many gallstones. Crazy day!

I'm feeling much much better and should be released from the hospital sometime tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers, everyone!
