A Shoulder To Lean On

Woody loves it when I pick him up and hold him like a baby...every time he lays his little head on my shoulder and it's very sweet!  I asked my daughter to snap a couple pics on my phone recently so I think he's wondering what she's doing, but he will often go right to sleep on my shoulder.  I have always loved big dogs and never thought I wanted a small dog, but it turns out that they both have pros (and cons I suppose) and I actually love having a little guy around too!

Hey, Mom! Look At Me!

Shot purposefully to over exaggerate of course!

What's Going On Out There?

That feeling that you're being stared at....it's usually true!

Fluffy

Since the day we brought Woody home, the kids have been calling him Fluffy and the I think the name fits!  These were pre-haircut so he was a little shaggy here too!

He had the cutest little curls on top of his too!  Oh, and it's easy to see that if he's not in my lap the back of the couch is his favorite spot!

And here he is fresh from the groomers with his first big boy haircut!  This was in April and he will soon be ready for another one!

Every Day I'm Cuddlin'

It never fails, the instant I sit down on the couch both boys jump up in my lap to cuddle 💗

GIG 2018

Our first Greyhounds in Gettysburg (at the end of April) with a whole new pack of dogs.  The girls and I went with Woody on Friday and Tracy joined us with Vinny and Kallie on Saturday.  The kids were ecstatic to have all the dogs in the hotel with us.  Kallie did amazing, far exceeding all expectations!  We had three beds the first night and Woody was just like a kid jumping from bed to bed, until he tuckered himself out!  We had to switch rooms (to the first floor) on Saturday night because there were no elevators and Kallie still refuses to climb stairs, it worked out well though - we had one less bed, but extra floor space for dog beds!

We spent most of our time shopping and walking dogs - which is no easy task as you can see by the tangled leashes lol.  Unfortunately, my youngest daughter ended up getting very sick (after we got home and took her to the doctor we found out she tested positive for the flu!) so we weren't able to do anything extra like go into the park to the covered bridge, etc. but there's always next year.

The girls slept most of the way home.  Woody was happy to call shotgun while Vinny tried to sweet talk me into letting him be my co-pilot :)

This is not our car, but I snapped a picture because it's among the biggest of greyhound enthusiasts I've seen yet...I think there was stuff on the sides too!

We won a raffle that included a special hand-sewn commemorative decoration as well as a bottle of wine.

The girls came home with this pair...why, I don't know ha ha!

Our newest collection of magnets.

Woody proves that persistence pays off in the wait for hoarding all the bully sticks!

Loved this year's t-shirt design too (by Linda K. Evans).
