The ninja, strawberry shortcake and Daphne from Scooby Doo
We had a fun Halloween tonight! The kids went with Scott around the neighborhood for some treats, and it sounds like a few tricks were out there too! I stayed at home to pass out some treats of our own! Not too many kids came to the door, but it was a fun night anyway!
We spent the morning carving pumpkins after church! The kids had fun making their creations and then helping us carve them! They actually really liked cleaning the pumpkins out and thought it was just hilarious! Hope we get some trick or treaters tomorrow!
Maggie as Strawberry Shortcake and Tyler the Ninja
The kids school had a Halloween party at classic skating rink. They got in free and were able to bring their own scooters. Scott and I even took a few laps around the rink! Maggie was the only one brave enough to try roller skates!
Tyler's scout troop took a field trip to Black Island Farms in Syracuse. It is a very fun pumpkin patch and corn maze. We went as the sun was starting to set and it was great! We all picked our favorite pumpkin and cut it off the vine, just in time to carve for Halloween next week!
Tyler is in cub scouts and loving it! They had a bottle rocket launch this meeting and it was a blast, literally!! The kids made their own bottle rockets out of soda bottles, decorated them and then took them to launch at the pack meeting. We all had a great time and even Grandpa Spangenthal came along for the fun!
Tyler started basketball this fall. He plays on Saturdays and it is mostly an instructional course on the rules and skills. He is having fun and they are starting to play some games now. Thank goodness, because that is all he wants to do is play! As Tyler says, the skills are "so boorrrinng!!"
