Hudson's 1st Birthday

Hudson is 1!!! How did that happen? He is the sunshine in our lives and we don't know what we would do without him. His smile just melts everyone and he is the happiest little guy around. He makes friends wherever he goes. We love our Hudsie boy!
This kid is obsessed with balls! If it's round and can be thrown he is happy! This was his favorite gift of the day!

Enjoying having lots of binkies in his hands on the way to celebrate for dinner at Sweet Home Chicago pizza. So yummy!!!
We had to sit in the booth with Michael Jordan of course!
We went back home and he got to enjoy his yummy birthday cake. Now he ate it like I always envisioned a kid would eat it. He devoured it! He made a complete mess and had so much fun doing it!

He ate a good half of the cake by himself! Little chunker! Happy birthday little man! We love you so much!!

The rest of June at a glance

After the wedding, we went to chat at Denny's again and get some dessert. My cousin Alex was being hilarious and making great friends with the waitress Jodie. His twin brother Steve flew in for the wedding and was there too and they were  like a comedy act. We all were laughing so hard!

Our neighborhood had a yard sale and my boys were dying to buy some treasures. I gave them 2 dollars each and let them go to town! Preston got a snow cone and some treats and Carter bought a dragon that I haven't seen him play with since (big surprise). We were going to sell homemade ice cream at the yard sale but I was too tired with all of the craziness going on that we just decided to eat it all ourselves. haha We made cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, and strawberry. They were all amazing!!
Melanie's birthday was on June 15th and so of course we had to celebrate at Texas Roadhouse!
Enjoying Sunday dinner with my parents before they left. My mom was trying to get in as much Hudson time as possible.

The night before they left to go back to Germany we had a little family night at Neptune park and got together with the cousins.
That night we were going through my sister's old journals and laughing our heads off. We found this gem of a photo taped inside. Those bangs are the best thing ever!!! Mel and I dropped my parents off at the airport the next morning. We had so much fun with them here and it wasn't as hard to say goodbye this time as it was the first time. I think because we knew that we would be okay without them and we had kindof gotten used to it. They are now almost halfway through their mission and time is starting to go a lot faster. We can do this!
Before we put the house back on the market after all of the flooding we decided the kitchen needed to be painted. Preston was my big helper. It only took an afternoon and made it look great! Why didn't I do this sooner??

We did green in the part around the cabinets and tan everywhere else. Obviously it worked because we sold it almost instantly after it was put on the market!
This little boy is definitely pampered. He would not hold his bottle for the life of him! Almost a year old and still wouldn't do it! Little stinker, he knows he's the baby and can get away with it! haha
James ran a relay race with my friend/neighbors Callie and Jon Canlas and their family. He had such a blast and hopefully I can do it next year with them!
Here he is with "The team that needs no introduction". Yes, that was their team name. Love it!
While he was gone running ragnar my boys got to have a sleep over at their cousin Ryan's house. The next day Carter came home and fell asleep at 5 pm and didn't wake up until the next morning. Staying up until 1 am the night before, he was exhausted. This kid needs his sleep! I laughed when I found him totally dead out on the couch.
Cute bath photo of my Hudson boy!
Carter and Preston got to go to a fun summer camp that my neighbors the Goettigs put on. They have 4 daughters and they all helped put it on. It was fantastic and the boys did so many fun things. Decorated t-shirts, made kitchen magnets with their pictures on them, had a water fight, and much more. Hopefully they do it again next year, we will be there for sure!
Hudson got a fun little water table from Grandma and Grandad English. He and all of the other kids loved playing with it.
Carter went to Cub scout day camp. How do I have a child this old?! James volunteered to help with the boys and got some fun photos from the day.
They got to do archery, shoot bb guns at cans, made wooden model planes, team building activities, rock wall, and how to do a flag ceremony. He had such a blast!

Greg and Cathy's Wedding

What a perfect day! Greg has been waiting a long time for this day!! We couldn't love Cathy more! She fits so perfectly in to our family. We are happy to welcome her cute daughter Lucy in with the cousins too. She is a cutie. The weather was perfect, the ceremony was perfect, and we had so much fun dancing the night away! It was held at Kay and Steve Clegg's house which was gorgeous! So nice of them! They have been great friends to our family for many years. We lived down the street from them in Orem and they were the cool parents of the neighborhood.

 Lucy-Cathy's daughter
Cathy and her brothers Mike and Bill

The whole Tenney clan
We haven't had a family photo with everyone in about 5 years. We have definitely grown in numbers and size! Love my family so much. So happy we could all be together and enjoy this great day.

Summer begins!

Preston is one tough kid. He can do several pull ups no problem.
This was not a fun thing to go through...our basement flooded because our neighbor's hose got left on. James went down to work out in the basement (thank goodness he did because he almost didn't) and stepped on the soggy carpet and saw water just gushing through the window in our guest room (Greg's room at the time). I grabbed buckets and tried to catch as much water as possible but the damage was already done. We had to rip up the carpet, redo some drywall, and fix all of the baseboards. Nightmare. It wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't selling our house at the time! We had to take it off the market until it was all repaired and my poor brother was kicked out and had to find a place to live for 2 weeks until he got married. Just bad timing all around.

In the end it all worked out. It was nice to not have to worry about showings when my parents were here and doing all the wedding stuff. When we put the house back on the market, the first person to come through it bought it. Go figure. We had 25 showings before we took it off the market with no offers! Crazy.
 Cute Carter!
 Hudson falling asleep on daddy.
Fun trip to the Highland splash pad with Daddy!

Carter has become such a great helper with the two little kids. Claire and Hudson just adore him.
We all went to pick up my parents from the airport. It was so fun to have them here for Greg's wedding. Kevin is enjoying a nut roll in honor of Greg and one of his stories about his clients. So funny!
Missed my momma like crazy! 4 months seemed like an eternity. They had been up for 24 hours traveling but were such good sports to come and chat at Denny's with us.
The whole family back together (minus Scott who came a few days later) at Denny's.
My cousin Alex did a "Bachelor Party" for Greg with the boys and went bowling. James got the high score of the night! L to R James, Carl, Alex, Uncle Richard, Greg, Kevin, Dad, Cody-Greg's friend
