On the 4th of July we decided to brave 7 peaks with the kids. They had so much fun! I mostly stayed in the baby pool with Hudson. He loves to be in the water to splash around but hates the lazy river. I think the water was too cold. So we stayed in the shallow end of the baby pool for hours. He never falls asleep anywhere but his bed, but being outside for so long he fell asleep in James' arms. He was exhausted!
After getting home we headed up to my Aunt Carolyn's house in Heber for her annual 4th of July party. This was the best photo we got of our red white and blue gear. Taking pictures with kids is ridiculous.
We had lots of fun playing a fun Swedish game sort of like horseshoes and had lots of yummy food. Claire found some fun glasses to play with and make everyone at he party laugh.
I took the boys to see Despicable Me 2 and we brought their cousin Ryan along. Cute movie! We also knew that we were getting rid of the trampoline when we moved so we were trying to get as much use as possible. Lots of fun times on that tramp. My kids used it almost every day every summer for 4 years.
We met up with some of our friends at a splash pad to chat and lets the kids play. James had to leave early for a dinner meeting so Hudson was loving Andy. It was cute!
Quinn and Claire are only a few months apart and have lots of fun playing together. Such cute girls!
Even though she can be super girly she also loves her boy stuff. Optimus Prime anyone?
July was lots of packing, packing, packing. I have lugged these cd cases from house to house and never really use them. Just have them "in case" I want to look at the liner notes. Well 12 years later, I'm not looking at the liner notes. It was time to let them go. I am not a hoarder in any way but for some reason it was hard for me to let these go. I guess because I take pride in my music collection and have so many memories attached to these albums. It did feel good to throw them all in a pile and see how many I had! Crazy! Goodbye cd cases!
We have a very similar picture of Preston doing this same thing except he was naked. Claire was put down for a nap one afternoon and we went in to find that she had climbed out and pulled out everything she could think of. She finally got tired of putting on outfits and fell asleep on her floor. SO funny.
We went out with our new sister in law bowling. Her brother Bill and his wife Jodie came along too and we all made a bet. Whoever got the low score had to buy ice cream for the couple who got the highest combined score. Of course we were the lowest (because of me) and had to buy Bill and Jodie (who was 7 months pregnant) frozen yogurt! haha
The kids were having fun in the dress ups at Kevin and Bethany's house. Carter as a mermaid was my favorite!
Melanie came over trying to help me pack up my kitchen. She brought along Chase and he and Claire had some fun in the flour bucket.
The night before we moved Claire said she wasn't feeling good. Come to find out she had the stomach flu and was throwing up the rest of the night. Poor little sick girl. Then a few hours later I wasn't feeling great either. Turns out I had the stomach flu too the night before we were supposed to move! It was horrible. Melanie had taken the boys to sleep at her house for the night so we could get some stuff done. Preston also got the stomach flu over at Mels and was so sick the whole day we moved. It was the worst! Fingers crossed that never happens again.
The saddest part is that Preston had nowhere to sit and nothing to throw up into. We found some random blankets and the only tupperware we could find and he fell asleep upside down. This picture makes me laugh how pathetic it was!
Claire was so exhausted too and took herself up to her new bed and fell asleep.
Hudson loved finding all sorts of fun toys in the move.
He can't get enough of balls! This exercise ball at my cousin Alex's house might have been a little too big for him.
He loves to play in our new garage because it has all sorts of fun things that had been packed away.
I took some pictures of the house when I left after cleaning it for the new owners. Very bittersweet. We have so many memories in that house. We brought 3 of our 4 children home from the hospital to that house. Lots of Christmases, laughter, tears, summers, and fun. We will always keep Pilgrims Landing in our hearts. We made friends there that we can never replace. Such a fun area to live in. It was time to move on, but we will cherish our years there.
Goodbye house! You were good to us!
