Hippity Hoppity Easter's On It's Way!

As I was looking on the calendar yesterday I noticed that Easter was coming in two weeks. I had to go to the grocery store to pick a few things up and noticed easter egg dying kits. My family used to do this every Easter growing up...the memories! I even bought the same brand we used to use (paas). So we decided that we would do this fun activity for family night. Carter loved every second of it!
He wanted to help stir the egg and was very annoyed that I wanted to take this picture!

Scott my brother just got a new route at his job so he gets 5 days off in a row...it was time to come back to Utah! We all got a babysitter and went out to dinner at the Smokehouse in Orem. We miss these guys living in Boise! Great stories, laughs, and fun were had by all.

Play Date

My neighbor Shannon has a little boy Barrett that is 3 months older than Carter. I have watched him for her a few times and the boys get along great.Carter was so excited when I told him that Barrett was coming over. How adorable is this picture of the two of them together?!
Carter is showing Barrett his blue motorcycle with no front wheel(still one of his favorites Mum and Dad haha) Also notice how Carter has taken out every toy and book possible to show off with...I guess it doesnt matter what age you are, we all are showoffs from birth!

Eat Your Greens!

I saw some asparagus at Costco for a good price yesterday and LOVE it myself, so I decided to buy some. We made it for dinner tonight and Carter was shoving it in his mouth like it was candy! Honestly, I gave him about 4 of my spears alone as well as James giving him a few of his. Good times.

Sunburned!

All of us got quite a bit of sun yesterday! I love that it is so warm outside, we have been able to take walks, and play in the yard all week. It won't last too much longer so we are enjoying it while we can! James was out helping my parents yesterday put some playground equipment up for the grandkids in their backyard. Carter played on the dirt hill on the side of their house most of the day. Needless to say, he definitely needed a bath last night...eating dirt is not always the best idea.

Carter has been obsessed lately with "cancakes" so I just thought that I would capture of shot of him indulging himself in a chocolate chip pancake made especially for him by his Daddy! A direct quote by Carter after this bite, "Mmmm Good!"

Boys in sweater vests...need I say more?

It's been a long time coming, but since James' sister Helen had her baby yesterday,(a girl! 6lbs 13 oz) I decided it was definitely appropriate to post a blog of things that make me happy!! First of all, new babies! Congrats Helen and Ian!, a smile from behind a bottle or binkie, car rides with the perfect song playing, old journals, long eyelashes, unexpected letter in the mail from a friend,getting the laundry washed,dryed,and put away all in the SAME day!, a phonecall from James just to see how I am during the day, Preston's cheeks, Carter's eyes, the feeling of accomplishment after exercising, Christmas music all year long, finding money in your pocket, Hawaii, Carter in underwear, book stores with all the time in the world, baby smell after a bath, Elm Hill, favorite jeans, Tepanyaki, watching a snowstorm 0ut your window with nowhere to go, celebrity gossip magazines, Brick Oven, memories of my honeymoon in San Diego, British accents, summer nights, barbeques, a good belly laugh, a clean house, Goonies, weight watchers, road trips, double dates, and being a mom. I could go on and on, I feel so blessed to have all that I have, so hopefully once a month I can update it with some new ones...what is it that makes you happy?
