Challenge #133 - Flowers

April showers bring May flowers right?! That's what I am telling myself at least...we have had rain here for the last two weeks! So this week's challenge is inspired by the hope that soon we will have beautiful flowers to look at! I have a weakness for flowers in my scrapbooking and my stash has a ton of different types. On this layout I used up a bunch of tiny flowers!

I want to apologize in advance.  I am posting a layout I did many years ago.  

With my daughter getting married in less than a month, my weekends, when I normally scrap, are being taken up with wonderful wedding plans.  

This 6 x 12 layout is something I did of the bride many years ago and it is still one of my favorites.

I embellished my mini album's cover with a homemade flower. I used the tea bag folding technique.

And with this last project, I will say you good bye. It was an awesome experience and I can't wait to see the next contributors team !

As I am the oldest DT member and officially a senior citizen, when I found this particular quote it resonated with me.  So my challenge to you is to find a way to incorporate this challenge into this week's project.  Have fun.

Challenge # 131 At the Movies

Hi Everyone!  I'm excited to be hosting this week's challenge.  My theme this week is to base your project on a movie...it could be the name of a movie, a famous quote from a movie, the theme of it, so many options to inspire you (just make sure you let us know what it was ;)  )  Speaking of inspiration, here's what is inspiring the DT this week!

I used the movie Veronica Mars for my inspiration.  I took the idea of taking pictures and film for inspiration when picking the DP for my layout (EP's oh snap collection).

I used the title of a movie for my layout inspiration - the movie "Sister Act". The layout is of my mom and one of her sisters at my cousin's wedding. My mom has several sisters but I think that her and my Aunt Shirley look the most alike out of them all!

For my layout, I was inspired by detective movies : my title reads "The mystery of the pumpkin's mask... But who is hidding behind it ?!"

Creative contributor call

As you might have noticed, Milena left us to move on to other creative projects and we wish her all the best ! She was part of the team for more than one year and she will be missed, but you can still see her work on her blog at http://milenarae.blogspot.fr/.

Even if we are sad to see Milena leaving, we are also excited to announce a creative contributor call ! And we hope that YOU will apply... No previous DT experience is required, neither a blog, as long you have a place where we can see your work.

Use Your Stuff challenge blog is looking for creative, friendly and enthousiastic new creative contributors, for a period of 6 months, starting June 2014.

Challenge #130 -Spring

I know that not everybody is having spring right now (hello my Australian friends !), even the ones who are supposed to have it (hello my American friends !), but I hope you will be inspired by this week's challenge : SPRING !

 I chose this spring 2011 photo, with my disguised kids for Carnival, and because spring means to me flowers, I embellished my layout with homemade flowers.

Spring is finally starting to happen around here.  I never thought I would see my crocuses pop through, but they did finally.  Anyway,  I was inspired by the season and the beautiful flowers an colors.    And since my brain has been in 'wedding mode' for a long time now, here is my layout ( apologize for the fuzzy upload).

Today was the first day we have had that was actually nice and made us think that spring may actually show up this year after all! In my scrapping I am working on late summer/fall from 2010 (just a tad behind!) so I opted to do a card for this challenge. Spring to me means butterflies and pastels!
