Challenge #52: All About Spring

Welcome Back Users!

We've got a theme for you this week and that them is: All About Spring.

What does spring mean to you? Showers, flowers, Mother's?
Lots of options this week, so we hope you play along!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday April 5, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE052 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Now, let's find out what spring means to our Design Team:

Tammy brought us some sunshine using scraps of scraps (wow!) from her Little Sprout collection by Crate Paper from 2009. She also found a stamp and ink that haven't been used in awhile and finished off a package of bling for this bright and cheery card.

Danielle thinks spring and this Echo Park collection go hand in hand. She also used pictures from a family Easter celebration 2 years ago.

Heather went straight for this uninked Easter stamp, which has been unopened for almost 2 years. The flowers on the card were from her "extra" pile and provided the color inspiration for the card. She also polished off three pieces of paper from her scrap paper bin.

Sherri focused on Spring flowers and sprinkled several onto her layout. She also used a 2 year old Crate Paper collection called Random for her layout.

Stacey had an under-used image stamp (only used once before) and a never-used sentiment. She also brightened the card up with that pretty yellow (and two years old) background paper.

Stephanie designed this Easter/Spring banner. The yellow and green rosettes are almost 3 years old and the rest of the papers, diecuts and buttons are a purchase from last year that have been barely touched.

Tracy  used patterned paper pieces from last year for this Easter layout The cardstock, ribbon and flowers all came from her stash of goodies. Isn't the detailed circle punch border on this layout fabulous?

Nicole pulled out some cardstock colors that don't tend to get used, so they've been accumulating in her stash for awhile. She also did a clean of her craft room and found these great buttons for accent!! They've been collecting dust in the craft room for almost 5 years!

This week we welcome Evelyn as our Guest Design Team member. Evelyn used some patterned paper from a prize pack for her card. She loved it so much that she's hoarded it all this time (and decided to do a 6x6 card to make sure she could use it all up!). She also cracked the seal on two packages of bakers twine and found an un-inked sentiment to include. Great card, Evelyn! Thanks for playing.

Challenge #51: WINNERS!!

What a week!! 115 fun and fabulous entries!! Obviously, die-cuts, punches and cut-outs have a special place in your heart and craft room and you were looking for the perfect opportunity to break them out.

What did Inlinkz pick this week? That would be entry #13, by R Meyers. She created this beautifully decorated Mother's Day card using numerous items from her stash.

Thanks for playing, R Meyers! Here is the Use It Tuesday winners badge for your blog and we hope to see you soon as a Guest Designer.

The Design Team had much fun going through all the entries. There was so much variety, so many great dies, creative use of punches and intricate cut-outs. These two entries caught our eye this week:

Allisa wowed us with her creative use of dies. She sponged around a scallop border die for her clouds and turned an icicle die upside down for her grass. Now that's some versatility!

And Lovely Linda's creation utilized some "UFO's" (unfinished objects - I love that term!) from her desk to finish this beauty. The diecuts used were one of those "UFO's".

Allisa and Lovely Linda, please help yourself to our Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.
Congratulations and thanks for playing!!

We're back tomorrow with our next challenge. Hope to see you then!

Challenge #51: Diecuts, Punches and Cutouts

It's another Tuesday, time to Use It!

We're back with another inspiring challenge and this week we're turning our attention to those
Diecuts, Punches and Cutouts!!

We know some of you out there collect die-cuts and punches just as fast as un-inked stamps, so there should be no problem with this challenge, right?

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***
We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday March 22, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE051 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

And now it's time for our Design Team inspiration to get you started:

Tammy found a finished project in her stash that just wasn't up to her standards. So, she gently peeled of the pictures and tried again. She used her favorite punch to make that adorable film strip, but also pulled the stickers and thickers out of her crafty pile to finish the layout off just so!

Stacey pulled the wrapper off her Hoot 'n Holler Cricut cartridge for this whimsical card centrepiece. She also dug to the bottom of her paper stash to find this gorgeous pattern in a practically good as new (and over a year old) paper stack. Whoooo doesn't love this card?

Tracy keeps her punches front and centre, so finding something neglected was a challenge. In the end, she found an under used label punch to create a unique side border. The patterned paper came from her scrap bin and the buttons were treasures found in her big bag of buttons.

Sherri made us all a bit envious that this layout didn't come from our stash! Her elegant project was created by sifting through her extensive collection of Cameo files (most of them un-used) to find the perfect vellum background, doilies and fonts. The brads, dew drops and My Mind's Eye pin are also over a year old.

Nicole echoed Tracy's sentiment that punches stay pretty close at hand for crafting. So she found inspiration in page of Pebbles cutouts for this greeting card. The cord was also a long ago purchase, but has only come out of the craft drawer to play a couple of times.

Stephanie is ready to invite spring over with this welcoming door wreath. She use a MME Miss Caroline 6x6 pad that hasn't been touched in almost a year and some MME Alphabet Soup and Lime Twist die cuts in her stash for "awhile". She tied it all together with some twine won over a year ago that has sat unused since now.

Heather couldn't wait to get to this week's challenge, the perfect excuse to break out her new MFT dies (Fishtail Banner and Rounded Banner) that were purchased just after Christmas. She also spent a few moments hunting down her round tab punch and used papers that were in a card kit gift over a year ago.

Danielle decided to use up some old page kits and found one with die cuts for this challenge. She also revved up her Silhouette Cameo for the green lettering. So impressed!

Sheena is our Guest Design Team member for this challenge and she made this adorable monochromatic birthday card with her Spellbinders Petite Circles die and Verve Pennant Trim die. She also created her own cut-out by cutting the cupcake stamped image out of paper.

We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!

Challenge #50: WINNERS!!

Thank you for helping Use It Tuesday celebrate their 2nd Anniversary and 50th challenge
with our "un-inked stamp" challenge and "use gold" bonus.
Just a reminder that we also celebrated the "opening" of our Facebook page. If you haven't already, please stop by, give us a like and leave us a wall doodle.

The always wise Inlinkz was at it again this week and awarded Evelyn with the lucky Guest Designer spot. We loved her St. Patrick's day theme and noticed the touch of gold she added to her happy Leprechaun.

Thanks for playing, Evelyn! Don't forget to grab the Use It Tuesday winners badge for your blog.

The Design Team has spent days pouring over the beautiful entries and these two creations caught our eye:

Sharon's unique passport holder caught our eye. What a great way to showcase your paper crafting skills, while protecting your important documents.

And Sarah M's catchy "Dude, There's My Car!" layout with her uninked camera stamp captured our hearts.

Sharon and Sarah, our Top 2 Pick badge is yours for the taking. Congratulations and thanks for playing!!

We're back tomorrow with our next challenge. Hope to see you then!
