Three Parties in one night

On Friday, October 27, Sam and Dad attended three Halloween parties in one day. What a busy time it was and tiring.

Our work had a Halloween party for our children. The families toured our building and we passed out candy to them. This old codger watched. Sam was there.

After work, this old codger and Sam went to a Halloween party at Church. The youth of our church had prepared a very special party. They had many games to play. The activity area had fog all over. (Note: the YM president disconnected the fire alarm.) Some brough cakes, brownies and treats. Also, you would win a treat by playing a game. One game was to stick a hand down a bag and feel some spaghetti; another, was three-card monty; another, a pinata and many more.

At school, Sam saw many of his school mates. The school opened the gym and stage area for playing. There was jar guessing. That is guessing the number of bean or items in a jar. This game had sever jars for quessing. At 8:00 PM, the school had a raffle.
Each student received a raffle ticket when he entered. Sam was dissappointed when he received a rocket football for his prize. There were so many other prizes that he wanted and the teacher would not allow exchanges. Such a sad time. It was also a windy, rainy night.

I made it onto the Blog finally

hello family. I care very very very much for each one of you dear people. We have a wonderful family.

Samuel is interfering with me. Now he teaches me how to color my words. This is fun! He smiles

Charles has his father time beard under his chin while he smiles. He & Sam just came home from three Halloween parties: one @ Charles' work, two @ Washington Ward church, three @ North Strabane Intermediate School. He gives me word pictures of what happened @ each party.

Carolyn creates her Halloween Costume using all my sowing helps & her creative ingenuity. She doesn't need my help. Well, maybe she does want some help, that or she wants a turn on the computer.

William finished with the computer so I could try to arrive @ this blog he planned to go to AI of Pitt to work on school today but we found that the Camry needs break job with parts to order. He can drive the van if need be.Monday the Arrowhead Services will try to repair the car. Thank goodness for safe journey prayers.

Sarah Jane, thanks for creating this opportunity expecially for our family. You sure had a job to get me to post. Thanks for encouraging me.this is a fabulous fun way to keep in touch. I understand the idea came from Russel that his family has a blog.

Mary tells me about her costume for the Halloween party tonight & encourages me to follow the instruction to get on the blog.

Emily asks me if we get to do secret sants this Christmas. I say yes! Lets have a third party pick 'em for us. I like her idea to list our wish list for Christmas on this blog.

Well, I think I will sign off. Tah tah for now. .

Trick or Treat at Work

Right after school, Sam's mother brought him home. He changed to his red warrior costume and went to his dad's work. He trick-or-treated his dad's work and received lots of good candy and cookies.

Christmas is coming and Piggy's getting Fat

Let's take up some space for everyone's Christmas wish list. (Are we going to do Secret Santas this year?)

Carolyn Learns to Drive Part 1

Last night, Carolyn somehow was able to text me from the car while she learned to drive. She can give her side which will enlighten us on how she did this with safety. Mom may be able to give us some more facts. Anyway, I talked to SuzieQ after it all and she said they just drove around a mall parking lot. The girl has been 16 since April and hasn't really had the desire to learn to drive so I say hurrah for Mom getting her out there! The girl should have her full rights as a legal driver by the end of January. Woah.

Note: All misspellings due to the inability to type b/c of small phone buttons have been corrected:

Carolyn: Yay!! I finally added you to my phone =D

Mary: Yahoo

Carolyn: Mom is trying to make me drive..

Mary: That's a good thing

Carolyn: It is???

Mary: Better now than later.

Carolyn: I guess...

Mary: Trust me.

They sorta left me to figure it out myself. Be grateful.

Carolyn: Maaaaaaaarrry, why would the car make that sound when the door is open??? Mom wont tell me...

Carolyn: Nvm the lights were on.

Mary: Yay for figuring out these happy life things!

Carolyn: I just put the drivers wheel on lock and the ignition wont turn now XD

Mary: How's it going?

Carolyn: Well, we stopped and went home a few hours ago but now we are at jo anns for stuff and I will actually try driving

Mary: Did you survive?

Carolyn: Yes!!! I liiiiiiiive!!!!!

fast times at the g'rents house

As dad posted, you know that Mommy Elaine visited Utah. What you might not know is....so did just about the rest of the Goodson extended family. Talk about loud conversations and tickle wars. I liked being a quiet bystander as the Goodson kids (namely Linda Dinsmoor, Elaine Urban, and David Goodson) resorted back to childhood. The girls wanted to innocently hug their brother. It turned out not to be so innocent. They plotted together to fake a hug, leading into a tickle. David quickly ran for cover into the coat closet by the front door. It's one of those old, sliding double-door closets. In all of the hullabaloo, the doors slid out of their tracks as the girls tried to get to their brother. Not to worry...nothing was broken, and smiles were on everyone's faces.

William attended class late into the night returning home around 10:15 PM.

Hello Family

I thought creating a blog for us would be a good way to keep up with everyone.
