Little AJ's Theatrical Debut

Here are a few pictures and a video of Little AJ in the Sunday School Christmas program tonight.  She was adorable and very entertaining to watch!  Sorry for the all the shaking in the video, but she kept making me laugh. She was totally "that kid" in the play... waving to us, twirling, just doing her own thing.  It was great.

Little AJ, the Storyteller

Little AJ loves to tell stories.  I wish I had every one on video because they are all unique and quite hilarious, but this is the only one I've been able to capture so far.  See if you can pick up on some of the funnier elements.

Colorado Trip

Little AJ and I just got back from our week-long trip to Colorado!  It was a wonderful week with lots of outings and time with family.  Here's a few pictures... okay, a lot of pictures.

We arrived late Friday night, so that we could drive down to Colorado Springs on Saturday for my ten year college reunion.  Those ten years sure flew by!  I got to see my two roommates from senior year and several other friends.

The girls hanging out on a Colorado College quad.  Ashley got to meet
the CC Tiger, bounce in a bounce house and get her face painted.

On Sunday, Little AJ went to her first pumpkin patch.  It was a perfect sunny Colorado day!

Little AJ loved the big pumkins.
She loved her Auntie J too!
Squeezed into a barrel on the barrel train.
It was very picturesque ride!
Little AJ trying to find the perfect "tiny" pumpkin.  She wanted
to be able to hold it on her lap in her car seat.
Riding in the pumpkin wagon before we filled it with pumpkins.
Little AJ's first pony ride!  She was so cute holding
on with both hands.  She named the pony "Yellow Tree."
I love this girl's imagination.

We spent a lot of time with family while we were there.  Little AJ especially loved seeing Granddaddy, Great Grandmother and Great Granddaddy.

One afternoon we met up with my good friend and her daughter at the Butterfly Pavilion.  Both of the girls are very affectionate, so they spent much of the time holding hands, hugging and kissing.  It was so sweet.

Exploring together
Examining a butterfly on the ground
Taking a break from all the butterfly watching
Riding the zip line with Grama
They loved this butterfly and were even kissing each other through the holes.
All the girls together

On Friday, we went to the zoo, which is always a hit.  Little AJ was so excited to see all the animals, plus we rode the carousel and the train.

With Cousin D in the Komodo dragon room
Riding a polar bear on the carousel
She was very serious about the carousel. Isn't she cute?

It was a great trip!  We only wish Daddy could have been with us too!

What We've Been Up To

Sorry for the blog silence of late!  AJ, Little AJ and I had a wonderful summer, and we're enjoying a beautiful Adirondack fall.  Here's a few pictures from the last few months.

Little AJ as a beautiful ballerina (just for fun)... I think these were taken in June.

Little AJ playing at the beach after the summer crowds went home...

Little AJ at "Kids' Night" at our church in August.  The theme was "A Night in the Big Apple."  The pictures show Little AJ in front of a taxi and building a skyscraper with boxes.

Little AJ at "The Wild Center" in Tupper Lake, NY in September.  She loved posing with the stuffed deer, seeing real river otters swimming, chasing butterflies, playing on the natural wood playground, and watching a film about mergansers (ducks).

Little AJ and Mommy stopping to take a few pictures during a nature walk near our house on Columbus Day.  We collected red, orange and yellow leaves, wildflowers, apples, and sticks, and we enjoyed the sunshine by the river.

And lastly, AJ and I enjoyed a day away on Tuesday while Little AJ played with Grama, and we hiked Crane Mountain (one of my favorite hikes).  It was the perfect fall day to be outside, and the views were incredible!
