12.07pm

in seven hours and thirteen minutes i shall be boarding a jetstar plane.

and in just over eight hours time i shall be touching down in melbourne.

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED! so excited, i find myself giggling to myself sometimes.

call me an eager beaver but i know at least five other pharmers boarding the same plane as me tonight.

oh yeh, i can almost smell melbourne, whatever that smells like.

speaking about smells, last night i was in the car with a friend and he had just gone for a swim so he asked me whether he smelt like chlorine. he smelt like boy.

although, i'm only in hobart, i have decided that the smell of boy is universal. LOLOL.

boysenberry cheesecake.

last night I went out for dinner with a girl from devonport.

devonport is hobart's bogansville [but the real super bogansville of tasmania is smithsville, simply because it's the most north west of the state haha]

anywho, apparently people in devonport become all doe eyed when they see people with darker skin ie. of african heritage because they have "the most beautiful, smooth skin" and from what i gather, are to some degree racist due to their ignorance of multi culturalism as devonport is a rather white, anglo saxon town. uh huh.

anyway, my friend is slightly stalkerish, ok all facebook users could probably be considered as stalkerish but she told me she was looking through my facebook photos and was quite "amazed" and "shocked" that i only had photos with asian people so she proceeded to look at my friends list to see whether i had white friends on my list. and yeh, i do have white people on my list. LOLOL. i told her if she were to meet my posse back home she'd probaby freak but then i told her if any of you guys were to come down that you guys would be disappointed with my choice of friends. LOL. i'm tight. whatever.

the gold moment - hoo hoo, welcome to tasmania - would have to been when she asked me "do all malaysians have round faces?" she based that off my face and this other guy alex who is quite fresh off the plane from malaysia and who is clinically overweight. uh huh. she deduced that all malaysians must have round faces from two people's faces. i'm not even fresh off the plane malaysian and if you must get technical i'm only half malaysian chinese. i don't think she understands that malaysians can be indian, chinese or truly malay. nuh uh.

i'm so ready to go home again.

mures?

have i told you guys about how i once had a pasta on rice dish for dinner? carb overload, much. needless to say it was cooked by a boy.

exiled [a hk film] was such a dumb movie, there was no plot! just a heap of shooting and idiotic laughter. i think my favourite part was when the baddie got shot in the privates on two different occasions, haha. but even then, it wasn't worth the hour forty four it took up of my morning.

anyway, back to the pasta on rice. i think there's leftover spaghetti and rice in the fridge. i guess i shall be having a carb overloaded lunch. mmm. it reminds me of when we were younger and my cousins used to eat "three mix" [hor fun, mei fun, rice] for dinner at rasa malaya - we used to eat there all the time until one day we told our parents we no longer wanted to eat there. now we go there like twice a year.

there's so much i want to eat when i get home. likee curry laksa, har mee, ba kueh teh, real mee goreng. ahhh and not all that fake stuff, real home cooking food. mmmm.

ok, it's 12.30pm now, the munchies are here!

six.

so i've been told, i don't blog enough.

six days marks the official end to my exams aand home home time!

twenty days until sorrento!

before then i thought i'd share a few photos over the next few days that i found on my usb. hoo hoo hoo. i have some of the most embarrassing and dorky photos that i shall be bringing out for a few select people's twenty firsts. uh huh. they're that good! before then i shall share the slightly embarrassing and more tame photos.

i know. original. "it" was the only two letter word we could think of at the time.

uh huh and oversized high school jumpers were just so cool.

ahh yes teapots and reindeers. very relevant. as i type this i ahve a sudden urge to walk around the city. i think it's cos i'm hungry. there's chicken in the fridge. yum.

LOLOL. i don't even know where to start. i don't think i'm going to even bother pointing out the obvious. i think this was taken in year eight - a good five years ago. we were definitely the coolest kids in the block. uh huh.

i am going to treat the next week as my rest week before nineteen days of ultimate fun fun fun! uh huh. my social life shall revolve around my sleeping life. i must must spoil myself with plenty sleep!

ok, this beginning to sound lame. if you heard what i accomplish in a day of no study you would probably hang your head in shame on behalf of me. two if you had two.

in the library.

i thought i would just note that i'm sitting next to a rather aggro indian guy who won't stop sighing and palm facing and mouthing swear words.

i am not a fan of perpetual sighers. if people need to sigh so frequently they should learn to perfect the art of deep breathing, that way they'll allow enough oxygen to enter their bodies at a more constant rate rather than the shallow breathing and five minute come around sighs. deep breathing is soothing too, good for the brain.

i'm currently on the fourth floor of the morris miller library and the lights are twinkling ever so prettily outside. have i mentioned that utas is on a hill? pretty much sandy bay is a mega hill and utas pretty much spreads up and down the hill. yep.

it is quarter to eight and i'm rather hungry but i dread the walk back, it was super chilly at four in the afternoon. imagine eight. *shudders*

i feel like watching lion king two now. *mufasa*

three more exams to go! home in twelve days!

feels like : one point four degrees celcius.

it is so cold outside that my jeans felt damp on my way back from the library, half an hour ago.

i don't think i've walked back so quickly before, haha. no music could match the coldness on my mp3, haha.

in other news, aunt edna's son is singing quite loudly while taking a leak. LOL.

ta!

two weeks

my shoes are soaked on the inside.

i'm feeling plastic fantastic today. plastic shoes. plastic bag. haha.

bling bling bling!

inflated ego.

tina inspired me to read through her archives last night.

so, just then i clicked on a random month/year [june '06] on her blog and skimmed through it until i saw a questionnaire she "tagged" me to do it. knowing me, i probably didn't complete it three years ago [i almost typed two years ago, sometimes i still think we're in '08] as a form of retaliation. i'm awesome : D

agnes at her best - procrastinating!

five things...
...you were doing in secondary school?
- pulling faces
- hoping for it to end. it did and it feels good.
- making weird noises just for the kicks. i haven't done that in a while...
- living at home. oh my bed.
- study partying! living it up! LOL

...favourite bands or singers at the moment
- brooke fraser
- jimmy needham
- rush of fools
- casting crowns
- brandon heath
oh, and the list goes on...

...you would do if you were a millionaire
- give to the church
- give to my family
- bank a huge chunk
- stock a decent asian grocers down here, haha
- my rational mind says i'd rather live a modest life. so i dunno. go on a mission trip? or many : D sponsor others to go on mission trips?

...5 things you like doing
- walking in the cold, at night
- hang time! supernatural, slumbers, pancake parlouring, boardgames, walkies and the usual.
- eating, sleeping and all that
- going to church
- tv'ing it with the family

...favourite things
- laughter & lame jokes - easy goingness!
- being a car passenger, HAHA
- home but tasmania's growing on me - you were right janean.
- reading letters and imagining the writer to be right next to me. there's something about letters, they truly capture my attention and make me burst into all sorts of expressions; audible laughter, gasps and all that jazz.
- being thankful in situations that are hard to be thankful in.

...can't live without
- God
- emotional connections ; family&friends
-
-
- all of the above & everything else

HAHA, I OFFICIALLY DUB TINA, AGNES OBSESSED. i saw my name a lot in the month of march '06.

"ahaha but i had bio and my agnes =) and yea she helped advise me again ^^ aha shes awesome =) solves all my problems. aaaagnesss i dont know what i'd do without you!!! so thanks heaps!!! and go off to asialand and have heaps and heaps of fun and dont worry about anything!!! you'll just leave us back in aus crying our eyes out cos of no agnes =P but its ok!! we'll just go blind!!" how many times can you put my name in a paragraph? HAHAHA!

ok, back to studies. ew.

multicultural.

hah. tasmanians think victorians are unhygenic and my uni is now telling everyone travelling from the states, mexico, japan or victoria and displaying any flu like symptoms to get a check up. apparently, if three or more people at utas get swine flu they will be quarantined at one of the villa's up on mt nelson [one of the student accommodation places at utas] and my friend told me her house is first to go - that means, they'll receive a phone call, be given a couple of hours to pack their rooms and move into a nearby hotel. apparently her villa is the most isolated out of all the isolated villas. uh huh.

yeh. that's right, according to the tasmanians, victoria's on the same level as mexico in terms of swine flu.

i think the media's a load of rubbish - some people are irrationally terrified of the flu because of how the media has sensationalised the swine flu. meh.

it's pouring outside. it makes me wonder what it would be like to walk to uni in such heavy rain.

i am so distracted by nothing it's driving me nuts.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

and it was on special

...and in stock.

i am so bored.

i think i ate too much rice.

nom nom nom, at least my tum is warm : D

showers forecasted for the next seven days. disgusting, much?

i want to go walk through a glow worm cave, visit the penguins and "climb" a mountain. someone, take me to mount wellington!

today my organic chem lecturer suggested that we should go join the "sausage fest" after our lecture, how inappropriate - join we did. hahahaha.

i am dilemma'd. should i make myself a warm blackcurrant with lemon drink, honey milk, honey lemon or milk tea?

oh my gosh. nineteen days!

stripey legs

how does one dress for such weather?

with purple, magenta, black and white striped thermal leggings and white polka dotted blue flannie pants, a white thermal top with another long sleeve over it bundeled up in a frog dressing gown. oh not to forget, blue grip socks.

according to the weather, i shall do my laundry on tuesday. delicious, my clothes arent going to dry in such cold weather. what to do? what to do? maybe i'll wash my clothes tomorrow and allow them to dry in two days.

ingenious.

white rabbit.
