The night before The Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) run, TZ and friend went for a bar hopping in heritage site Penang downtown.
First stop, Traffic @ Beach Street, didn't managed to see any traffic police inside... Just saw two singers on the stage singing mandarin song... Quite a nice bistro for chatting, not so packed. Not sure it's too early~

We ordered a bottle of beer, stay about 45 mins and decided to move on to the next destination, THE BANK... don't worry we are not gonna rob the bank eh~ We might rob the drink only. LoL

Why the bar called THE PRESS? The building was hosted Kwang Wah Yit Poh press office. It has turned to one of the heritage building and the bar is named THE PRESS

To our surprise, there were a cover charge of RM50 each with a free bottle of beer or one bucket of beer / smirnoff vodka each. We told the front lady, we could not finished two buckets and she offered us to leave those for our next visit. Hey~ how long are you able to let us leave the bottles, ONE YEAR, TWO YEARS... WE ARE TOURIST LAH!!! In additional, TZ's friend was kind of pisse and a bit sarcastic... she quickly turned and agreed with our purchase of one bucket to enter THE PRESS. This was a surprise to TZ how they managed...
Anyway, we kind of enjoy our time in THE PRESS.

Compare to the rest of the bars, THE PRESS has the nicest interior and it has a mini skybar on the top floor which can oversee the ferry terminal and port weld. A cool place for chill over a bottle of beer or a glass of wine.
After finished a bucket + 1 bottle of Smirnoff Vodka, we decided to head back to our hotel and got 2 hours of sleep before the PBIM run. It was a very enjoyable night out with friend. ;-)

It's was a good experience with mud, dirt and heavy rainfall when we were running for our lives earlier as the survivors... due to the heavy rainfall, we do not have any picture of survivors part of the run. Sad~ Anyway,

Not sure you still remember i posted two posts regarding What is this for? and What about this?... These are the parts and pieces of the brewing tools which you can find them in the brewery.
Some readers have guessed the knots/tap are for getting beer. They are absolutely correct about the tap but to be specific, it's getting the beer for testing from the brewer. Each of the beer tap is connected to the different brewer.
This is the brewer that all the beer ingredient are mixed and cooked in certain temperature before letting the yeast its work... which is the fragmentation process.
The Heineken Experience is located inside the old Heineken Brewery building. This Heineken Experience can be consider as the Museum of Heineken. They have placed lots of artifacts and the stories about how the Heineken beer empire was built. The first part of the museum was telling the stories... blah blah blah
So now let's the experience continue and we gotta see the real things instead of listening to the stories...
Before we went into the brewing site... we were brief by a person on what is the main ingredient of a Heineken Beer... Anybody wanna guess?

As we walked into the big hall, we saw big brewer lining up in the hall.. All the ingredient were placed into the brewers ... which you can see the brewery house.

The journey continued with how to appreciate the freshly brewed Heineken Beer... There is a stars shape bar which the bartenders will provide us a small glass of Heineken Beer for appreciating and tasting. I learn quite a bit from the session. The knowledge of why beer need to have a white foam covered it... etc

Next, the advertisement watching... they projected all different advertisement from around the world in different languages. I never saw most of the advertisement... It's awesome!!! So creative~ Besides the advertisement, Heineken as the company has created some games, merchandise as its brand... including bottle your own beer.

Last but not least... It's Booze Booze time. Each person gets two 1/2 pints of freshly brewed Heineken Beer in exchange with the buttons from the given bracelet when we bought the ticket. YES! the ticket included the free drink of Beer. But it's a bit of disappointment here as i thought it would be ALL YOU CAN DRINK *wink*

We stayed in the drinking bar until we finished the two 1/2 pints. The surrounding and environment is cool as the music makes the bar likes a nice hangout pub in town.
So if you happen to be in Amsterdam, do not missed the Heineken Experience eh~

I have been talking about going to the Rainforest World Music Festival since decade ago... Very sad to say i haven't visited the RWMF yet. Last year, i told my Sarawakian friend that i wanna to plan to visit the RWMF this year. Emm.... Nothing happen as i kind of forgot the event until recently i saw this poster.

Surprisingly no radio station talking about this event and not much people promoting about it. So, now it's too late for me to get the flight ticket, hotel accommodation and the entrance ticket to the RWMF 2012. I bet there still have the package but it should be costing a bomb... Maybe i should plan in ahead for RWMF 2013 then... Anyone can offer me a stay in Kuching?

This Friday is Arthur's day celebration. Lot's of pubs and bars has put up the Guinness offer i.e. drink Guinness get T-shirts / shirts free... So, one of the bar @ Sunway Giza has posted an Ad on the offer... the offer has started on Sept 18th and ends on Sept 22nd 2011. So go and get your T-shirt and Shirts eh~
Anyway, one of my friend has written in his status on asking around who wanna to go to the Arthur's Day celebration @ Speed City, Kuala Lumpur. As i'm curious and google this celebration and all i got is this poster...
Anyway, in a small print @ the center of the poster (if you can see), i realized this event is by exclusive invitation only. Hmmm... i wondered my friend might have gotten more than one exclusive invitation and he's asking around to have some companion to go for the celebration. Unfortunately, I have to drive to Taiping on the next day. So i think i would pass for this round. Will join you next time eh~

Recently, when i visited Bangkok, Thailand. I came across a very unique business which i saw almost every corner of streets in this big city.

This mobility bar is equipped with attractive lighting and music together with a few comfortable bar chairs.... Basically, it tags along the with the stall that sell food by the street.
Unfortunately, this business concept will NOT work in our lovely country Malaysia. Why? If you remember the case which selling alcohol @ 7 eleven, the lovely government has politicalize and made a big hoo haa on it... So, how can they allowed the mobility bar to appear in the street of Kuala Lumpur?
Anyway, if you happen to visit Bangkok, Thailand. Do not miss to pay a visit of one of these mobility bar eh~

Anyway, I have to say a lot of Malaysian still in the developing mindset which sometime don't even take care of the environment... This is a very sad scene.
One day we should take some picture of before and after the party to see how much rubbish got left over in the event location. Another one more thing that i noticed was the event planner did not provide sufficient rubbish bin for people to throw those rubbish... So people just simply throw on the floor... throw it to the Flower Pot and so on...
May the year 2011 be the year for us to start saving our environment...

How to have dinner + karaoke? I'm a shy person and will not sing on the stage.. not even in the bathroom. So the dinner + karaoke is actually singing inside the box painted in RED. Okay it's...
After shopping for restaurant in the Curve, most of the restaurant have prepared the New Year's Eve dinner set which charging their customers sky high price. For instance, Tony Roma's is charging RM79.90++ for a 4 course meal while TGIF is charging roughly the same price... Sigh~
So at the end, we decided to have a different way of having dinner... We will have dinner and karaoke @ REDBOX the Curve. I'm looking forward to this Friday as this is the first time to sing together with this group of friends.

This is how we party last Saturday with all the free flow drinks (Whiskey + Coke, Vodka + sprite, Beers) from the dispenser counter and the free finger food served by the waiter from table to table... Oops~ I'm hungry now.... Too bad it's too dark, otherwise i will post some food shots to make you hungry too...
and of cause the entertainment from Prema Yin and DJ's...
Followed by all the nice dancing song played by the house DJs... we didn't dance as we were on the patio (the VIP area and not @ the dance floor. It has been such a long time i didn't go to such a party and i felt young again as what my friend said. >...<
We left the place at about 2am with a little tipsy...
Another one more month, we will have to say goodbye to year 2010 and welcome 2011. I belief most of you have already had planned to celebrate the countdown...
I haven't had any plan yet... don't know what and how to celebrate.
As i mentioned earlier, this year i was having the opportunities to get myself down to the base of the KLCC to view the so called splendid fireworks... errrr.... yup a countdown gathering

Anyway, it was a nice dinner on the whole despite of the hiccup before the dinner between us and the restaurant manger (will tell u more about this in the future post). After dinner we went around KLCC park to secure a nice spot for view the "splendid" fireworks display... Due to the amazing crowded crowd in the KLCC park, we decided to walk away from the center of the crowd and settle @ the road near Isetan. This was the first time i sitting like that...

Damn! My battery gone off after 50 sec of recording... I didn't have any backup... i have no choice but to switch the recording from the camera to TZ's memory... Unfortunately, i could not show what has been captured in TZ memory over this post... if not it will be interesting... Anyway, it was a great countdown 2010 with my fellow bloggers.

There's total 8 of us including Jerry has attended the advance birthday thrown in Chili's. It was a fun night in regardless of the incompetent service from Chili's, in fact it was a bad service as per said... As I had read about it from the forum in the internet... So expectation is being lowered. hehehee... i accepted all as per the fact other people have reviewed in the internet... :p
Anyway, in regardless of the service they provided. I was enjoying myself with the companies of my fellow bloggers friends. Just a nice night thanks to the organizer, Anton. He got us together to celebrate Jerry's advance birthday.

I was supposed to pay a visit to my hairstylist yesterday evening... when i reached Jaya One. I noticed the CLOSED sign @ my hairstylist place was up... hmmm... no hairdo for me. So I walked towards Brussel Beer Cafe to look for my hairstylist.
To my surprise it was Brussel Beer Cafe 1st year anniversary. I was invited by my hairstylist to join the celebration party as you were entitled to the nice buffet and lots of Belgium beer free flow... errrrr.... I drank with my hairstylist and friends there until i was off my limit coz i din had any food before the drinking session. :(
I managed to drive back but i was throwing out straight after i arrived home. It was a very bad drinking session. TZ could not drink too much beer... errrr... don't ask me how many bottles i had drank... I would say plenty... blek!
I woke up hangover this morning until now... It was not a pleasant moment and would not drink beer for at least months :p

I totally forgot my post on the last week Saturday dancing @ Supper Club... my long waiting line dance funk party... hehehe.... are you ready to see me dancing?
The party started on 6pm... we were a bit late as we stayed till late 5pm @ Delicious on Bong & Josh birthday luncheon... anyway we made it for the dinner.
Dinner was okay but not that great... I ate only a little as the dance started @ 7:30pm... i could not eat too much as we would need to dance later ...
When the clock struck 7:30pm... the first dance song started and the team got their space downstair...
Hehehe... along the dancing... there's lots of camwhore ... I took a couple of the shots of the supper club environment ... and my friends took my pictures ... What an enjoyable night to remember.

I was invited to two of my friends birthday @ downtown KL last Saturday... The birthday luncheon was held in a nice and simple place called delicious. The theme of this restaurant or cafe was simplicity... the glass that brought all the natural lights into the restaurant ... It was a nice place for a nice afternoon gathering.
We arrived @ the restaurant on time but to our surprise the rest of the people were not there yet. Anyway, the setup of the restaurant was a great place to take some nice picture... :p
Later the group came in and the luncheon party kicked started . We started ordering and chit chat along the way as the waiters and waitresses serving the food.

We left the restaurant about 5pm... and headed back to KLCC to take a train back. I enjoyed the food, the fun and the company of all my dear friends... thanks for inviting me. :)
