Life according to my iPhone...

Girls are LOVING gymnastics...Lexi is moving up to Level 2 and Sadie will be right behind her...

Found this in Sadie's room...that's how bad it needed to be cleaned...FREE INTERNET?? THis is what we first used when we got married 13 years ago...not sure why she even has it???

I love that the girls help out so willingly...we don't make them work nearly as hard as they should...but they do whatever we ask happily (most of the time)

Sadie ALWAYS has a dirty mouth...even when she was a baby she was a very dirty eater.  This particular mouth is a Chocolate Chip pancake mouth...but it will happen with a single M &M as well.

I tried to copy the way Connie does Lexi's hair...Epic fail...but she still looks beautiful as always!

We went to Bahama Bucks after our hike yesterday...couldn't believe the crazy line of people...but it's the girls favorite place...and our GROUPON was expiring...so we stuck it out.

I'm STILL running...even in the FREEZING cold!!

First things First

The girls have had their ipods since 2009...

We upgraded them at Christmas for them...which required us to sell theirs on craigslist well before Christmas without them knowing...Piece of cake...they didn't even know it was gone for a good month!

However...since they have been upgraded to the new model that has imessage and a camera...and Kylie's school friends all have them...it has finally become a "problem"...they are wanting to play them a LOT more.  They are getting addicted to instagram.. Kylie is constantly texting/facetiming all her friends...so we had to come up with some ground rules...

As a family (mostly the girls) we came up with these rules...and it is working FABULOUSLY!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!

PACK RAT

Sadie is our pack rat...

Our lover of all things with paper...books, notebooks, binders, coloring books, and ALL THINGS HELLO KITTY!

Makes it so easy to shop for her...however...it also leads to THIS!!!!

Coon Bluff Hike

The best thing about AZ in January is definitely THE WEATHER!!

It's days like these we have to remember in July, August, and September!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went on a little hike along the Salt River.  It was beautiful...and Ty got to try out "bowfishing" for his first time!

"FIRST FRIDAY" FAMILY FUN NIGHT

We decided in January that every "First Friday" the girls would take turns planning a family fun night (a tradition that we hope will stick through those crazy teenage years).  They have a limit of $30.00 anything over that comes out of their money...but other than that they can choose whatever they want and we will all go along with it.

We started with Kylie this past Friday.  She chose the dollar theater where we saw "Here comes the Boom"...we had no idea what it was about...the girls laughed a lot...especially Lexi.  It was a little much in some parts for Sadie :)

We then came back home to enjoy the rest of the beautiful day.  We rode skateboards, bikes, razor scooters, practiced volleyball and gymnastics.

After we had burned off all of our popcorn we made our  way over to Panda Express for dinner and then came back home and watched a movie on Netflix (Minor Details).

I'm so excited for this tradition.  We had a GREAT night as a family...with no electronics, phones, friends, etc.

26.2

Marathon training is in full force...

In fact it is 1 month from yesterday until race day...HALLELUJAH!!

It's been a long journey...but a fun one...

especially since I was able to do it with my friend Julie Pulliam  who I have run off and on with since 2005 (and now she is moving to Texas :( )

Last Friday we ran THE WHOLE COURSE...

26.2 EXTREMELY LONG MILES!!!

Can't wait for March 2nd to do it one last final time!!
