1 out...19 to go!

Kylie's tooth FINALLY came out (with a little help from dad!). Sad thing is...the other one is already fully grown in behind it so it doesn't even look like she lost a tooth.

School of ROCK!

Kylie and Lexi took another musical theater class from Miss Jennee Prince this summer. The theme was "School of Rock" so every song they performed had the word "rock" in it..."We will Rock You"; "Rockin Robin"; "We Rock", etc. They put on a great show!! It was fun to have Lexi do it too...she got really into it....but like she says "she wants to be a singer and a hair stylist when she grows up". I think she will do a great job at both.

And as always...it was so fun to have friends to do it with. Thanks Abagail for being such a good friend to Kylie.

She's a BIG girl now!

Sadie has had a big month. She is completely potty trained (even at night for the most part). It only took her a couple days and she "got it"...thank heavens. She actually has been potty trained since June... just barely getting around to blogging about it. It was so nice to do it during the summer since I don't work... we went straight to panties and skipped the whole "pull-up" stage...I wonder if Ty will let me use all the money we saved towards a maid...hint hint! :)

She also conquered the swimming pool...kind of. We took "survival swim lessons" from Miss Emily . I was so impressed by all she learned in 6 short sessions. She can now swim the width of the pool all by herself. It might just be the best $50.00 we ever spent. And it was even better that she got to do it with her friends Gracie and Beau.

* Are they not the cutest little things?? I could talk to (and squeeze) Gracie all day!!

Newest treasure

Ty's newest treasure to bring home! Hope it sticks around for awhile. Can't wait for Kylie to start lessons!!

Stay-cation

Back in September of 2007 (before our blogging days were official...sorry for the flashback) Ty and I took our first couples trip (after 7 years of marriage)...and it was ABSOLUTE Heaven...I thought I would DIE without my girls...but knowing they were in GREAT hands (my parents came down from CA just to play with them for a week...I don't think our girls noticed we were even gone they had so much fun...thanks again for doing that...CAN'T WAIT to do it again!)...we were able to have the time of our lives...

I think we did everything there was to do on OAHU...snorkeled, Dole Plantation, PCC, Temple, Swap Meet, Pearl Harbor and best of all I FINALLY got to swim with dolphins...I had wanted to do that since I was 12. It's funny though, out of all the things we did there...I think we both agreed that our favorite part of the trip was working out TOGETHER at 3 am and then go for a run along the beach at about 4 am (we never did adjust to Hawaii time! :)) We told ourselves we would HAVE to do a trip EVERY YEAR...it was so relaxing and rejuvenating...worth every penny....

Here it is July of 2009...and we had yet to get away on a couples trip. The timing isn't looking so well either for the rest of they year...So I planned a VERY MINI "staycation" this past weekend. And I guess neither of us were nearly as excited because neither of us remembered a camera but we had a good time going to the Buttes for a night. We did some eating, shoppping, swimming, more eating.... Thanks Nana and Papa for watching the girls so we could get away for a night. (and thanks Marc for the amazing deals!!) Thanks Ty for giving me the much needed break! I love you!

Fourth of July...Pine style!

We got experience the 4th of July the Pine/Payson style this year. If nothing else it was so nice to not melt away while waiting for fireworks to start.
We started off the morning with the Payson Parade...here is a little taste of what it entailed...
it was quite the parade...I think it lasted a total of 12 minutes or so... so instead of going straight back to the cabin we decided to make a pit stop at the river.

We went back to Payson in the late afternoon. We had ourselves a little picnic and just hung out at their beautiful park for about 4 hours waiting for the fireworks to start...It was a great night...and an impressive fireworks show (made up for the cheesy parade)
I have yet to master the "self-portrait picture"...that's usually Ty's job...but since Kylie was on my lap this was the only picture I got...

BJ, Shannon, and Sam...Sam LOVED the "Boom Booms!!"

and of course Nana and Papa...Sadie loved the Boom Booms and clapped through the whole thing...Lexi on the other hand had this face for most of them!! Happy Fourth of July!!
*Note about the shirts: My friend Alisha organized a tie-dye day last week and the girls were so excited to "make their own shirt" (and I was quite impressed with their work...they really did do it all by themselves)...I was just going to have them wear them in the morning and change into different clothes for the night festivities...but they wanted nothing to do with that plan...I couldn't get them out of them!! So thanks Lish for the fun day and shirts!!

DQ...Unfortunatley NOT Dairy Queen

Kylie is still doing so well in swim team this year...(helps to be one of the older in the age group vs. youngest like last year). We skipped the backstroke meet and she placed 3rd in her butterfly meet...and last week she has her breast stroke meet. She did so great...had the lead the whole time (even though her goggles...which she NEVER wears but decided to for this meet...fell off when she dove in the water and were in her way the ENTIRE time)...She was the first to touch the wall...I was so happy for her that she finally got FIRST all on her own (got it in the freestyle relay...but that's different)...it was a goal she had made for herself this year...She was so disappointed when she ended up getting the "pink ribbon" (meaning disqualified). I don't know exactly what she did wrong...I didn't notice anything and she never got disqualified or told anything at practice...but she thinks maybe she brought her arms all the way to her side...picky picky!! :) But we are still so proud of her!

Master of the House

For anyone that wonders why Ty is the head chef in our house...
He is a perfectionist and makes the most delicious food!

*We took this picture to show the first use of our tomatoes from our garden...but it was such a pretty sandwich I had to share. Ty makes wonderful creations like these EVERY DAY!! I am SO LUCKY to have him around!!

Kylie's Loose Teeth

Kylie has had some wiggly teeth FOREVER...so long that her permanent teeth have FULLY GROWN in BEHIND her baby teeth. Our dentist is refusing to pull them...but they are growing out of control. Ty tried to take matters into his own hands with some pliers...but we still couldn't get them out...we bribe her...we threaten her...we push them oursleves (as much as she will let us)...but those are some stubborn teeth. I wonder where that trait comes from!!??!! :)

Dad and Kylie Fishing

Lexi was up all night with an earache, and Ty couldn't go back to sleep after 3am. So he told me if he was going to be awake, he may as well be out fishing. So he loaded up his little boat, woke up Kylie, and went to Canyon Lake.

They got there before sunrise and Kylie caught a couple fish. She said next time she wants to bring a bucket so she can bring them home and put them in the pool so she can swim with them.
