So I was released from the Young Women's Presidency back in May, and of course I was bummed that I wasn't going to be going to Girl's Camp. I love Girl's Camp! Who doesn't!? But then the same Sunday that I was released I got called back into the Bishop's office and called to be the Assistant Camp Director. Oh yeah! Camp Lomia here I come! But one problem...I am pregnant. No worries! One Dr.'s note later I was given the thumbs up. I think people thought I was being a good sport by going pregnant, but little do they all know that I wouldn't have missed it for the world!!! Girls Camp is like a miniature EFY. The devotionals, classes, activities, and spirit are AMAZING! I'm so grateful that I was able to go. I'm grateful for the girls and their testimonies and examples of faith and courage. Our theme for camp was "Courage to Stand" from the mutual theme Joshua 1:9. Oh, and did I mention that we had 42 girls from our ward go to camp!?!
Who wouldn't want to go here?
Camp Lomia, Pine, AZ
Clean, Happy, Energized, girls ready to go to camp...
We're here! Me and my 24 week prego belly. :-)
Girls camp was extra special this year because I got to go with Tyler's youngest sister (my sister-in-law) Annie.
Going on our hike
Biggest pancake I've ever seen.
There's nothing like a little spinning-around and zip-lining to get your baby-belly moving.
Poor Bro. Bloomfield was stressing that I was going to go into labor, but I kept telling him not to discriminate pregnant women. :-) Needless to say, he was happy when our activities time ended.
My shirt says, "So hot it hurts".
That's what I try to tell myself every morning when I'm big and pregnant. :-)
One of the craziest and fun part of girls camp...
don't ask
And this about sums it up...
