Campus car project
I'm finally done with my year 3 project! Whoo hoo!! Well, its in the vid as shown below and it runs autonomously, meaning no driver n its able to detect and avoid obstacles. It was really insane working on this stupid platform though a point to note, we did not build e whole vehicle from scratch. Its nothing much but we have set the basis for future developments for other students and e ultimate goal is an autonomous vehicle which will be used in campus to take students when they travel from faculty to faculty. At last, its finally time to focus on my other modules..

Case modding
Anyway, lately i've been trying to mod my desktop, since cny is coming n all. Kinda got bored looking at it as well, so yeah, went to dismantle my computer, do some handiwork, search for the stuff i wanted, etc etc. Finally got the job done today and i must say, i'm pretty satisfied with it considering its my first mod casing. I call it the 'disco rig' (watch the video to know why). What i've basically done is change/add the fans, add in lights, add in controllers, laser my side panel, modify the front panel and last but not least, cable management which is the most chore thing to do(if anyone has seen my computer in its previous state, one would rmb the massive insane cables that fill up the whole chassis that it looks like an ant nest. Big credits to Leanne for the graffiti font n Nic for the laser etching. Thanks man!!!

aye.. been kinda lazy to update, but anyway, heres some updates. I went to china during the one week break for 5 days. And nope, it wasnt for holidays cuz i definitely wont choose china for that, but for some project exchange thing. Been working on some project for the school which is actually an autonomous energy saving vehicle for the campus. Basically, its some sort of eco car where u wanna travel from a fac to another and u simply need to mount it and it will just take u there, avoiding all obstacles including humans along the way. But for now, we are just working on a small prototype for it, researching on the system, sensors n all. So yup, we are working with Beijing uni students on this project and we were basically going there to know our counterparts and bond and discuss with them.
Well, the trip is nth fantastic i guess, but i admit it was better than i tot. The uni itself is like a city itself with its own roadside stalls n hotels. Its also pretty much of a bicycle haven over there. And well, the first day when we were assigned electronic keys to our rm, it didnt wk and whats worse is, switching on my air con causes a short circuit. Fortunately, it was autumn and the weather there itself was very cooling! There was also no internet connection but thankfully, i was able to leech from someone's wireless.. lol! Thank goodness for it seriously or i will be dead bored over there at night.
Oh, most of the food there is actually quite shiok and it will be the thing i'll be missing most over there. Moreover, its damn freaking cheap! Had Peking duck at this restaurant where we ordered like 7 main dishes, 3 sides dishes and one big bowl of soup and it only costs us 20 sgd each. The steamboat there also quite shiok and the dim sum is also a definite must try! Shopping there was also pretty good since the price are already quite cheap and u can bargain and cut the price down to a third or quarter. Transport and everything is also dirt cheap over there. Seriously dunno how the china ppl are going to survive when its their turn to come down to Sg. LOL!
Anyway, recently been meeting up with the pretty leanne.. *happiez* and theres this place we visited that i wanna share. Its called the 2am dessert bar at Holland V. Like its name, its opened till 2am and whats so great about it is the service, ambience and e stuff they serve. We had a tough time deciding what drink we wanna get and the very friendly angmoh guy, possibly the owner, came up to us and recommended giving us a mini wine flight. He basically taught us the basics of appreciating wine, their history, and how to go about drinking it b4 letting us sample them. Real cool stuff! Sadly, im not a good drinker and i sort of turned red pretty quick.. tsk! A pity i was driving too, or i can appreciate it even more. Anyway, the owner in a way felt that he sort of forced it upon us and charged us cheaper for it. How nice is that luh!! Really, do check the place out if u guys can, its really goooooddddddd..
Oh, and it was leannes bday ytd! A VERY BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU PRETTY GER!! U looked great and im so glad for you that it was a success. lol! Anyway, went down earlier to help out and had fun making balloons within balloons. It was the first time i tried it n whoo hoo! SUCCESS! It was also pretty fun sucking in helium and talking like some cartoon duck after that. Hahz! And it turned out better than i thought cuz i went there alone but there were so many others who came to talk to me. Anyway, everything there just looks great, the place, the cake with e topper which she designed herself, the people and not forgetting, the bday girl herself! There was also some pretty fun and interesting moments like people forgetting to remove the price tag and faster disappearing to take away e tag when the bday girl was opening them. LOL! Oh well, all the best and hope it was a memorable 21st bday for u leanne~ Really glad to be part of it.. hehe!

Whoot! Went out with leanne after school ytd~ Was so glad i could use the car man! school ended pretty late so i quickly went home to get the car out n picked her up in sch. Headed off to town and went to sd to get my jeans! after which we went to noodle hse ken to eat dope ramen~ wheeeeeee.. i'm loving it!
Wanted to catch a movie after that, but we didnt realise there were no movies left after 10pm on weekdays! gosh.. so we wasted time checking out cineleisure b4 heading over to marina sq to check it out there. Lol! Ended up playing pool instead.. Seriously v long nv play liao luh!! Totally got owned by her.. wahaz!
Played till the place closed at midnight. After that, decided to go to marina barrage since the both of us have nt been there b4 and so many ppl keep teasing me for not going there b4. Guess what? We got lost on the way.. wahaz! Took a wrong turn and off we went to geylang.. LOL! Faster check back the street directory b4 we end up way in the east. HAHA!

Pretty nice place, but there was seriously nothing much for us to see cuz all e pretty lights and the fountains were off already! damn! we came at the wrong time.. But still.. it was fun chilling and chatting with her until we were very tired and decided to head back.

aye.. this entry is abit late. Been busy with school and was pretty lazy to update. But anyway, went to the ntu modern jazz's dancetitude 09 with leanne on 22nd aug, sat. Whoo, thx for comin ger~ enjoyed myself n like ur fren said 'u look dashin!' =) Hmm, the concert was quite gd overall and i was super impressed by redeafinition. They are a bunch of deaf dancers and its amazing how synchro they can be and how gd their technique is. RESPECTZ MAN!! and great job to the mj dancers esp weepin, mel, ah long n nicole..proud of u guyz! same goes to the blast dancers~ was v glad to c some ppl whom i've not seen for the longest time at e concert too! lol! went jp to supper n chit chat after dat with leanne b4 cabbin back.

class outing + lanyards
yoyo! had a surprise during the mini class gathering on wed. aaron had secretly came back to singapore from australia for a few days! had dinner at lai lai b4 heading over to some benten store to have desserts.. Bought some huge bowl of ice cream which was meant for 3-5 ppl i think? n guess what..we had 9 ppl n we had problems finishing it cuz it was juz so damn huge!! Oh.. and i managed to find my key head covers liao! so cool!

Headed over to orchard central to walk around b4 heading back to sd to chill, dance n talk kok in the shop! haha! n cool shit was ben came back n taught me a little on dj-ing~ SO COOL AND FUN LA!! But.. i only know how to operate nia.. dunno how to transit songs n all but still.. it was fun nevertheless! headed to hk cafe to eat and chill for awhile after the shop was closed.. whoo~

yoshimaru and marutama ramen
Hmm.. quite into a food spree recently. Realised since i luv to eat good food so y not blog about them? So well, heres my 2 most recent ramen trips. First one was with xinhui at Holland Village's Yoshimaru Ramen Bar. Tried their traditional hakata ramen while xh had the shabu shabu pork ramen with the sizzling char siu hot plate as our sidedish. Hmmm, the egg and the broth was not bad.. but personally i still prefer noodle house kens soup and noodles. What interests me is that they had this little bowl of sesame seeds set out for each customer n u have to personally grind them yourself.. with a pounder! cool huh?! Oh, the sizzling char siu hot plate was surprisingly good and quite worth the price.. would definitely recommend it if you got e extra cash to spare..

As for today, finally met up with pam for lunch to fulfill our promise of trying different ra-mens in sg after dunno how many months cuz she just came back from her internship in hk. She brought me to her first love for ramen which was at Central mall's Marutama Ra-men. We both ordered the original non spicy marutama ramen. Hmm.. personally felt the soup was a little way too salty and they only gave one piece of meat which was quite small. However, they did leave a flask of water for you to fill ur own cup when u run out of water so u will never be too thirsty from the saltiness. Overall, it was still pretty dope and i simply just love the egg. lol!

new stuff
Went down to Sexy Diamond first thing after book out yesterday! Haben been there for quite awhile.. Initially i did not expect to buy anything, but saw some of the new releases and i knew.. i just had to get it! I think i gonna start collecting blue n turquiose (cuz i luv those chill chill colours alot! n seems to me like blue is the new in colour for SD!) already.. My SD collection getting way too pink!
