About Us...

Ty and I are currently living in Franklin, TN. Ty is working at Nissan here in Franklin and I am enjoying life as a mom of two little boys.

Thanks for joining us in our excitement and being there to support us during this time. You all mean so much to us and we are looking forward to you building memories with us and our little family :)

Catch Up: July 2011

It has been very hot outside... so we had some sprinkler fun :)

Above is a classic case of monkey see monkey do.

Wearing 4th of July gear...

Eric, Darren, Niki and Chloe came to visit for the 4th of July. It was so so so fun to have them here. While they were here we celebrated Chloe's birthday because we never get to see her on her birthday. Here is a ladybug cake that I attempted to make for the party.

Chloe and Asher chillin' after the pool.

Our neighborhood had a 4th of July parade where there is a competition for wagon/stroller/bicycle decorations. Our entry (below) got 3rd place! I think it was the kids more than the decorations :)

This was taken just this past weekend. Asher's new obsession is bowling. He LOVED it. He enjoyed watching everyone else bowl almost as much as bowling himself. He would cheer and clap for everyone. Lincoln didn't get to bowl - - as you can tell by the look on his face he was SO excited to get to touch a bowling ball too.

Asher turned 3!!! Here is the racecar cake that I made for him. He is into racecars and anything sports related. One of his favorite parts was getting to eat the cake and ice cream.

Lincoln is into sports too. He loves carrying this bat around and hitting balls that are on the floor.
I would like to say that the boys get along this well all the time. But usually after the sweet moments come the wrestling and taking toys. But, there are a couple sweet moments in the mix...
The boys are taking ISR swim lessons. This was taken on Asher's last day of swim lessons. On his graduation day, he swam in his clothes to make sure that he could 'survive' if he fell into the water. Grandma brought him a big sucker to celebrate. He was so proud of himself and happy. He did amazing!

Catch Up: May 2011

Ty found these dress-up glasses. Lincoln really like them. They go with his shorts :) Our little man.

Catch Up: April 2011

I had to include this fun moment of Asher and Ty playing on the swings in our backyard. They were both laughing so hard!!

Adam, Emily, Oliver and Violet came to visit us this month. We had an amazing time!! Here is a cute moment of Aunt Emily and Lincoln playing peek :)

Then we had Lincoln's 1st Birthday party. I made the cakes for his party. He got the blue balloon all to himself. At first he liked the blue 'drum' we gave him to play with. As soon as he tasted it though - - it was all over. This boy LOVES sweets!!! The second picture is of the party group. So fun living close to the grandparents!

Catch Up: March 2011

We took a trip with Ty's parents to Destin, FL. Well... truth be told they were taking a Spring Break trip to Destin and we crashed their party :) They boys loved it. Lincoln preferred the pool to the beach. Asher loved both but preferred the beach. Nothing like playing in the sand and waves for a little boy!

Lincoln turned 11 months while we were there.

There were lots of 'friends' on the beach. Luckily we didn't see any in the water, only on the sand.

Did I mention how awesome it is vacationing with Grandparents :) Lincoln is asleep on Marilyn. As you can see in the picture below, Ty is playing with Asher and I get to read on the beach!!! It was such a nice surprise to be able to have some reading time.

Catch Up: February 2011

So, it has been awhile :) I thought about forgoing the blog but have since decided to just update whenever I get time. So, here is a catchup post to let you know some of the highlights of the last 6 months.

Yes, we are Titans fans. But, if we had to pick a second team... the Bears would be it. Plus, it seems like all of our family likes to buy the boys Bears gear :) So, here they are in their Bears jerseys. The wrestling has already begun (Lincoln 10 months, Asher 2 years)

Christmas

It was a wonderful Christmas session for us. We actually spend the whole holiday at home, which was very very nice. Asher's favorite book over the holidays was The Polar Express. Ty read it to him every night before he went to bed. So, on Christmas Eve-Eve we sat down as a family and watched it. We even all had hot chocolate during the hot chocolate scene. Asher was overwhelmed with joy. He was so mesmerized that his eyes were watering. It was adorable. Then on Christmas Eve we went to my mom and dad's posh condo in the city. It was a great time. We enjoyed home cooking, music, presents and family! The boys had a blast! That night we all went to the Christmas Eve service at church. Then Christmas morning, Santa came. Asher was almost as excited about the snow as he was about Santa. Then in the afternoon we went to Ty's parents house. Ty's brother, Adam, and his family were there as well. It was our first Christmas with Asher and Lincoln's new cousins, Oliver & Violet. We had a great time with more home cooking, music, presents and family!! Here are some pictures...
