Just to clarify, SYD weekly updates are now sent on Sundays. This is to cater for members with no internet access on weekdays =)

2. Gentle reminder for CNY pictures.

3. CNY house visit - Choice of dates

As you all should know, we will be going on a 拜年 tour to members' (and guwen) houses, as a traditional CNY activity. It will most probably take up the whole day, but members can leave/join the tour on their own accord.
I'd like to have a feel of which date is more suitable, and who is keen. Here are the options:

1. 31st Jan 2009 - Saturday
2. 1st Feb 2009 - Sunday
3. 7th Feb 2009 - Saturday
4. 8th Feb 2009 - Sunday

4. Update of particulars for contact list

We're now well into 2009, and i'm sure there are quite a number of changes to your particulars, especially the education status. Attached is the contact list. Please update your particulars IN RED, and send it back to me by THIS WEDNESDAY 210109, 2359H. You will be nagged upon by our huiching 大姐 should you not reply on time.

Please state the following in your reply:
1. Are you keen to join the CNY bainian?
2. Which date will you be free? (can be more than 1 date)
3. Attach the updated contact list with your particulars updated IN RED. If there are no changes, please state so.

Dear all,

2 main points to take note this week:

1. TXY Recruitment drive is on
The advertisements will start publishing from next week onwards, till mid Feb. If you have friends/family who are keen to join do inform them. Also please help publicize TXY (especially SYD). Attached is a list of codes that you could paste on your blogs. If you have queries regarding criteria for joining, feel free to contact me.

2. Chinese New Year
Lunar New Year is coming, and I hope everyone is keen on documenting this major festival's mood, decorations, celebrations and customs. We will, as usual, be organising a walkabout shoot at Chinatown. Details are as follows:

Date: 17 Jan 2009 (Saturday)
Time: 5.00pm (should end around 7.30pm. If you have to leave early do let me know)
Location: Meet at Chinatown MRT
Things to note: Expect heavy crowd. Try not to bring too much equipment, or too big a bag. Bring water bottle and dress comfortably. You can do some light new year shopping too =)

Of course CNY does not always mean Chinatown. There are lots of other places having their own celebrations and decorations. I urge everyone to keep a lookout (especially in school and at home). I may request photos from everyone should we be required to produce a 镜看 article. Be observant =)

Please reply to state whether you can join us for the shoot or not.
