The Singapore Red Cross launched a public appeal which commenced on 29 September and will end on 30 October to raise funds for the survivors of the recent Philippine floods. Tropical Storm Ketsana is said to be one of the worst floods that the Philippines has seen in nearly four decades.
Currently the death toll is soaring at a high of 249, with rising figures of people whose homes in the capital and surrounding areas that have been inundated. Relief efforts and evacuation plans are currently being carried out to house nearly 380,000 people that have been displaced due to the cause of these massive flash floods.
The Singapore Government has contributed US $20,000 towards the SRC’s Philippines Tropical Storm appeal. The Singapore Red Cross will also be contributing US $10,000 to the Philippines National Red Cross (PNRC) for its immediate efforts.
The Singapore Red Cross Society has made an appeal to members of the public to make donations towards this cause. All donations made will be earmarked specifically for the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts for survivors of the Philippines Tropical Storm.
Yupp, everyone please help the victims! Pass your donations to your class chair/treasurer (: Alternatively you could come down to the canteen at 12pm+ tomorrow or on Wednesday and pass the money straight to us. Yes, and try to revive this place! Haha :D

Whaddup my all-time awesome homies. :D Alisa!deejay here. I uploaded two screenshots of our class convo on ACP that day. My god it was dayumm hilarious la please, 'cause we digressed alot. GREETINGS TO ALL RI-GIRLS-TO-BE! :D Amanda's complaining that she's always the one posting, so the nice me is here to post about CLASS OUTING!!! YES YES SOUNDS SO INTERESTING RIGHT LET'S HAVE A CLASS OUTING COMING DECEMBER HOLS! Do tag and give some eye deers (for those who can't brain today, IDEAS) for a wonderful and memorable 203'08 class outing! :D Well here are 2 suggestions from Amanda and I, if you guys are suffering from a serious lack of brainjuices after EOYs (:
1. East Coast Park. 2. Sentosa! You can cycle, jog, rollerblade, build sandcastles, pick rubbish, play volleyball, go crazy, wave at random people, whatever you want! Fun right fun right? :D

Reminders
Hello people please be reminded of the following things:
1) Bring down your chairs to the hall tmr after the last block, which is assembly, so please go upstairs after assembly to bring your chairs down.
2) Lit CES tmr at 1.45pm.
3) OBS Medical Screening is on 16th & 17th October, 8am to 5pm at Block E. There'll be a schedule (not out yet)
- Submit health booklets by 16th September - Wear your PE attire - Bring your medication (if any at the time of the medical screening) - Doctor's Memo/Letter of Fitness (if any) - $15 for OBS Medical screening (to be paid through Edusave in 2009) - $10 for the Tetanus Injection (for those who have yet to receive it)
4. TO BE HANDED IN ON 16TH SEPTEMBER (next Tuesday): (i) OBS FORM (with photograph attatched and signatures of parent/guardian) (ii) Health Booklet (iii) Any other documents attatched to the form, e.g. Tetanus Immunisation certification (iv) The Acknowledgement form (the one I gave out just now)
5. Random: Go to Youtube and google Crime Deterrent Phone. THE AD'S DAMN FUNNY MAN! hahahah :D Go de-stress a little.
