the potty-treat jar

I feel like I've really let Emmy take her time and arrive to the conclusion on her own, that she wants to use the potty.  I realize she's only 2 1/2 and I'm not trying to push...but I'm pretty sure it's time to encourage and celebrate her potty time.

She knows what the potty is and what to do on it and every once in awhile she'll tell me she needs to go and we'll run in and HURRAY, she goes!!!

Well, in an effort to motivate her a bit more we went to the store the other day bought a potty jar and filled it with "potty treats."  I'm not sure this was such a great idea.  Now, she just sits on the potty FOR-EV-ER and waits and talks and kicks her legs and talks and waits more till she goes so she can get a treat.  I'm glad she's catching on, but I don't have time to go wait with her in the bathroom all day just so she can have a treat.

Am I being selfish with my time?  Is this just how it goes when you're potty training?  Were the treats a bad idea?

Well, gotta get...Emmy needs a "potty treat" so it's off to the bathroom we go to camp for awhile!  Good thing Bailey is a good sport and happy to sit with me on the floor while we wait for Emmy...

I'd love your opinions...

We are FINALLY going to dig our hole for our house Saturday!  YEAH!!!!  It seems like this process has been going on for-ev-er!  I am so excited to finally see progress though, even if it is just a big hole!

I realize we are FAR FROM flooring, paint color, hardware, etc. decisions - but being the person I am...of course I have been thinking about the interior of my house for a VERY LONG TIME.  I think I've been imagining it for years now, trying to decorate and lay it out in my head.

Anyway, I'm looking for some of your opinions.

Do any of you have white or off-white kitchen cabinets?
If so, are they hard to keep clean?

Any other insights about light cupboards? Or any tips on kitchen organization?

THANKS LADIES!!
