If you like it then you shoulda put a bib on it

Lucy has some really cute clothes, but in order to save the clothes, she has to wear a bib....and then you can't see her cute clothes. Darn.

Starting Again

Since we had Lucy, our blog has consisted of...well, pictures of Lucy. When you have a cute little face to show off, why not do it? So I will continue to post pictures of the little girl, but I also want to write my thankful lists again. It has been a while and I don't know if it will happen regularly, so we'll just see. Here it goes.

1. My commute--The drive to work is pretty short, and the drive to pick up Lucy is very scenic. Once I get past 1300 E. there are not many stop lights, so I can just enjoy the ride.

2. Singer's Unlimited, American Prep Academy and Primary for filling my head with little songs that I can sing to Lucy when she's upset. A few recent favorites are: TV theme songs (Bewitched, Cheers, and of course, I Love Lucy), States and Capitals, and I Lived in Heaven.

3. Albert's dad--We've had a slow leak in our tire lately...turns out it was a nail. Kenny took it out and repaired the tire before we came back up this last weekend. We have had a few tire issues lately and it was so nice to have that fixed before it became a bigger problem.

4. Lucy's sighs--This is one of my favorite things ever. Knowing that she is content is very comforting.

5. Albert--He works way too many hours a day and still manages to do things like clean out and organize our large crawl space.

Happy Fall

So far this fall there have been more "firsts" for Lucy--first funeral, first solid food, first blow-out that got on her mom.... We are continuing to love having Lucy around. She has the cutest smile that melts my heart every time. Her eyes are always wide open, taking it all in. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to.

We took Lucy for a ride up the canyon to look at the pretty leaves.

We just kept driving and ended up on a trail that we have skied at Ski Free After 3.

So pretty.

Bath Time! Lucy loves taking baths. As you can see, it is important to keep those hands clean.

Albert's Great Aunt Verle passed away last week. She was 95; we will miss visiting her when we go to Salina. As her husband Wayne said, "She was a dandy!"

We let balloons go at the end of the service.

There they go!

Brielle and Lucy are getting ready to let their balloons go.

Uncle Wayne and Kenny

Lucy was having fun playing with cousin JosLynne.

We gave Lucy some rice cereal for the first time.

She seemed to like it!

Just hangin' out watching cartoons with McCoy.

Allie and McCoy helped Albert make some good sugar cookies.

The cookies turned out very pretty.

Happy 4 Months

Today is Lucy's 4 month birthday. Here she is sporting a 0-3 month dress and newborn shoes, but don't worry, she's growing and getting so big. We went to visit her new cousin yesterday, and oh my goodness, you'd think in just 4 months I wouldn't forget how little newborns are, but I couldn't believe that Lucy used to be that tiny. Now she is such a big girl talking, laughing and sitting in her Bumbo... we are proud parents. She now prefers her hands and her bibs over the binkie, so between that and her talent of spitting up, we go through a lot of clothes each day--and so does everyone who holds her.

We went to Thanksgiving Point with Grammy Poulson a couple weeks ago. Lucy loves being outside, so she had a great time.

Cousin Allie Jayne joined us for the fun too.

Lucy's first encouter with a bear... good thing dad was there.
