1st Day of School August 30th 2010

This year we decided to move our kids to American Heritage a private school. Class sizes up at the public school where just getting to big. Going to a new school is always scary but my kids have gotten use to it over the years. They have to wear uniforms and I think they look so cute in them. Luckily they love their new school and so do we!!

NEWPORT CALIFORNIA - JULY 2010
In July we took our annual trip to Newport California. This year was fun because Mom and Dad Willardson have bought a timeshare there as well so the entire Willardson family (minus Abigail, & the Owens we missed them) where able to be together for the entire week. This was the first year we splurged and flew instead of drove and how nice was that!!! Don't know if we will ever drive again well thats if I get my way anyway. This was the kids first time flying (well at least that they are able to remember) and it was fun to see their excitement. In California we enjoyed playing on the beach, Legoland, a Pirate Dinner, Sailing in San Diego, and going to Catalina for the first time. Our little family choose not to do Disneyland this time. We didn't want to handle the crowds in July.
Lagoon (July 2010)

I knew my kids were crazy but I never realized just how crazy until we went to Lagoon. Gary asked if they'd want to ride the Sky Coaster which is a gigantic swing that lifts them up 145 feet in the air. Once they get up in the air they have to be brave enough to pull the rip cord. Once they pull the rip cord they start hurling face first reaching up to 80 miles an hour flying through the air. There was no way ever that I would do it! Whitney didn't hesitate when Gary asked. Weston squirmed a little but once he made up his mind he didn't change it or try to get out of it. I still can't believe they did it.
4th of July - My favorite holiday!!!
U2 Trip to Denver...well not really. (June 2010)

Gary had made plans to fly to Denver to see U2 with our good friends the Feil's. This was before he knew they would be coming to Salt Lake. Then we found out that U2 canceled their tour until next year but we weren't going to let that dampen our fun! We still headed to Denver and ate and shopped our hearts out!! Thanks Feil's for the fun trip and keeping us laughing nonstop!!

Lake Powell June 2010
Gary our personal travel agent. Put together our Lake Powell trip. The whole Larkin Family shared a house boat yes that means all 24 of us shared, lived, breathed and ate on the same house boat for 5 whole days and we stilled loved each other when all was said and done. We had so much fun and a lot of scary yet amazing things happen. McKenzie walked through the sliding glass door with only a couple scratches and Weston cut his head open wake boarding. Luckily Gary had brought a staple gun so he was able to staple Weston's head back together. Gary showed Weston the needle he was going to put in his head to numb it before he was going to put the staples in. Well once Weston saw the needle he was having nothing to do with that. He decided he was going to just have the staples without any medicine. He was so tough. Had each staple put in his head one at a time. The hardest part for Weston was that he couldn't get in the water the last day. Other then that we had a fun time the weather was perfect
Kylie's 5!!! (April 2010)
Kylie was so excited to be 5!!! Can't be 5 and not have 2 party's!! We had a family party then Kylie had a friend party and they went to JUMP ON IT. Can only turn 5 once so I guess you can never spoil them to much either right?
Easter 2010
For Easter the kids love going on a scavenger hunt to find their Easter Baskets and this year was no exception! They loved running all over the house from clue to clue helping each other find where their own basket might be. Then we have our annual Willardson family Easter Egg hunt. Don't know who gets more excited for it the kids or the Adults:-
Whitney our little Indian (4th Grade March 2010)
Park City Skiing March 2010

Park City started a program called Fresh Start which lets you get a ski rental, lesson and ski pass for $25. This is just what I needed to get back on the slopes. I use to ski all the time when I was young but after 8 years in Arizona and three kids some how I've changed. Having a lesson made me feel more comfortable and watching the kids do so well was so fun. Next season we'll have Kylie there too!!
Weston received his WOLF in Cub Scouts. (Feb. 2010)
KYLIE CUTS HER HAIR!! (March 2010 4 yrs. old)

We were reading the scriptures together at night and I looked over at Kylie and noticed her Ponytail was gone. She had cut her ponytail right by the rubber band. I was mad but couldn't help but take her picture. I don't know if she learned her lesson because after I cut it to look decent she thought she looked really cute. And I have to admit she did:-)
Daniel's Summit Feb. 2010
Mom and Dad Willardson take us and do something fun every year for our Christmas gift. This year we went snowmobiling at Daniel's Summit. Its fun riding but its even more fun hanging together in the lodge together. Thanks Mom and Dad we have so many fun memories because of the both our you!! Love you!!
Las Vegas Girls Trip Feb. 2010
Was lucky enough to join my "Highland Girls" on their trip to Vegas. Had so much fun!! How can you not we're in Vegas Baby!
Gary's 38th Birthday Party!! January 30th 2009
My Hubby is 38!!! Does that mean I'm married to an old man or that I'm turning into an old woman? Either way thats crazy to think about! Had a party at our house with the people that we love so much our families!!! The Willardson and Larkin clan!! Can't celebrate any better then that!!
Maui January 2009
In January we went to Maui with our good friends Mary Lynn and Jared Royer. Mary Lynn and Jared are fun to vacation with!! Mary Lynn likes to sit on a beach chair with me and a Diet Coke (well she's more of a Dr. Pepper girl but you get my drift:-)) and a magazine. Letting Gary and Jared go out and be their wild and crazy scuba diving maniacs they are. Looking forward to doing this again soon!!

PINEWOOD DERBY
I forgot to post about the Pinewood Derby so this posting will be out of order. Last week Weston had his first Pinewood Derby. His car was called "Weston's Wheels" and it was fast!! Gary worked hard with Weston's help of course and the help of our wonderful neighbor Alex Montano. The car came in second (should of been 1st if you ask Gary) so Weston was really excited! Weston has only been in Scouts a couple weeks and is loving it!!
EASTER 2009
Easter is always a fun holiday, especially for the kids!! We had a fun year this year attending three Easter Egg hunts. Friday, we had an Easter Egg hunt with the neighborhood at the park. Saturday, we had a family Easter Egg hunt and lesson at the Willardsons. Then Sunday we had another hunt at Trina's. Between the Easter Bunny and hunts the kids are well stocked up on candy. As Whitney said "this is just like Halloween but alot easier".
Besides the fun things Easter is a time to sit back and reflect on what a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives and to know the Savior died for us and lives again. The Savior went through so much suffering because of his great love for us. What an awesome blessing to have that knowledge and blessing in our lives!! May we all take advantage of that knowledge and follow his example in our own lives.

Weston turns 8 & is Baptized!!
My Boy turned 8 which just makes me feel old. He chose to get baptized and we couldn't be more proud of him. We love being in Utah surrounded by all our family and feel so blessed by all their support!! We had a fun day with Gary baptizing him and then we all headed to Chuck-A-Rama (since our house is for sale) and had a lunch. It turned out really nice and relaxing for me!!
Palm Springs California
In March we had a family vacation and headed to Palm Springs. We had never been and had a great time. Gary had planned to go the week of one of the largest tennis tournaments. We attended two different days of tennis and were able to see the number one player in the world Nadal and also the number one tennis player in America, Andy Roddick. We also hit Disneyland, and enjoyed the beautiful pool. The weather was in the 90's which was refreshing since Utah had been so cold. My parents and my niece (Tricia's daughter) joined us for the week and we had a blast together!!
