NCIS's Humpty Dumpty

Abby: We can rebuild it, We have the technology...
All the information is still there, it's just a matter of Humpty Dumpty-ing it.

Tony: I thought they couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Kate: That's because the king only had horses and men.

- NCIS

:):)

Yay! I've finished Season 1 of NCIS. Since I've yet to get Seasons 2-4 from Janice, I've jumped to Season 5. :)
I must admit that I've zoned out a little during a couple of minutes of the first season. Overdose of NCIS, I think.

Watched New Moon today. I think I annoyed the guy sitting next to me with my um not so nice comments. Throughout the whole movie, I either said Oh My God! or What the hell? or Ewwww, with some laughter added in.

Tried the cinnamon gingerbread iced choc from Gloria Jeans which didn't really have the chocolate taste I expected. Might try the Cinnamon gingerbread latte or whatever its called tomorrow, if it doesn't have coffee in it.

Still haven't touched those three books from Borders.
My subconscious is screaming at me to finish the Breakdown Challenge. No, forget screaming. Threatening my sanity and peace of mind is more like it.

Oh goodness I'm off to sleep now.

Lady, Dreamer

Lady, Dreamer,
You might be the soundest sleeper.
Tonight, Sleep tight
And build your nest upon my shoulder...

I was reading Breaking Dawn today. Not the whole thing, just the last oh, 80 pages or so. I shall surmise and reinforce this:

By the middle of Twilight, we all knew that by the end of the however-many books that SM wrote, Bella will end up with Edward. So there might have been a few solar eclipses and lunar ones too along the way, but at the end of Breaking Dawn, though Renesmee was unforeseen,
Bella + Edward = Immortal Couple [in more ways than one].
Therefore, perhaps [probably] the only reason we embark on this 'epic' journey involving vegetarian vampires, lupine shapeshifters, vampire mafia wannabes and a life-not-so-loving human girl, is to see how they get from the start to the end. You can insert 'The journey is the destination' here. (guffaw)

I just had to get that out of my system, I don't see why most of my UL girls love Edward to death [no pun intended]. The consensus [of those that I remember] is that the Twilight series was "crap".
Here, is where I will join Chang's club by saying that there seems to be a like/hate relationship between me and the Twilight series. I still can't put my finger on it.

If I'm still in this mood by the end of my day tomorrow, I might be inclined to add more, if I can think of and properly phrase what I might say. ;)

Here's to Bio Lab!

Por Una Cabeza

Almost a month!!! Wow.
Didn't realise time passed so quickly.
Spring break passed too quickly and I'm dreading the start of Uni in less than 40 hours, because of all things to be thinking of right now, I'm pondering over which Lin Alg lecture I should attend on Monday. Urgh.

DAYLIGHT SAVING ROBBED US OF 1 HOUR OF SLEEP.
Which is also why I vowed to sleep earlier um. this morning.
I've noticed a pattern. Everytime I tell myself to sleep earlier, the opposite actually happens. Seriously, maybe I shouldn't bother at all. Take all the clocks and watches away. I'll sleep when I feel like it.

hm.

It just hit me... That is what happens with work and studying as well. Plan/Say to do it, nothing happens.

Discipline, Determination... [I can't think of another appropriate word that starts with D.]

Cry When Happy, Smile When Blue

This vid was discovered while checking up on a song I heard about on an lj community. The song/vid was on a playlist, which I didn't realise was on autoplay. So, I switched tabs and did on my own stuff and when the song ended, this came on. I'll say.... The animation is great and the song is quite.... interesting. :)

Of Rings and Indomie, Part 1

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to bind them.
One Noodle to entangle them all and in the Darkness bind them.

Warning: The contents of this post are the by-products of excessive mugging and assignments as well as sugar and coffee.
The Lord of the Rings aka LOTR and its constituent books belong to J.R.R. Tolkien.
No abuse, ridicule, disrespect and/or insult was intended in the course of the conversation carried out and subsequently recorded here.

Sig: but indomie cravings... whenever assignment and exam time
Me: curb them
Sig: will try to
the dark lord is calling me.... the ring (indomie) has its own will
the indomie wraiths are coming for me

Me: the ring of indomie?
Sig: yes!! and i am the last of the numenor(kid running away from the destiny of king of Gippsland yoghurt)
alliteration for Gondor

Me: you have to throw it into the raging fires of mount doom (aka rubbish bin) - total destruction
lest a Gollum comes and bites it off your hand haha

Sig: hahaha yeah
Me: aka... the attack of the MSG. hair falling off and stuff like that
Sig: but now facing me and mount doom is the army of orcs and trolls (pot and pans). temptation is strong
Me: Aragorn: but it is not this day... this day we fight!
Sig: by all that you hold dear on this good earth, i bid you stand!! Men of the Yoghurt
for frodo!
chiong ah!!!!

Me: charge!!!!
Sig: that was so... weird
HAHAHAHAAHHAA
assigment time, all is forgiven
Me: oy you forgot abt the path of the dead
Sig: Gippsland will be numenoreans, Greek yoghurt can be the rohirrim
lower class of yoghurt

Me: ....
bias
although i can see the link between the greek and the rohirrim
greek=troy=trojan HORSE= horse lords=rohirrim
hahaha

Sig: huh??
Me: the link
Sig: OMG you are so weird
HAHAHHAHAHA

Me: hahahaha
thank you
Sig: it's a compliment
its okay, we are almost on par at weirdness level
Me: cough cough
Sig: OH OH!!
can link also: the rohirrim will summon the path of the dead
they can summon hector, ajax, achilles, or rather, Gondor summon

Me: the rohirrim don't summon the dead... aragorn does
Sig: but aragorn is not greek!
Me: too bad
Sig: hmm... i can imagine the scene when boromir dies
Me: wait so are you frodo or aragorn?
Sig: B: the world of men will fall, all will come to darkness
A: i do not know what strength lies in my blood but i will not let the white city fall
Me: omg you watch too much already!!!
Sig: B: i would have followed you, my brother, my captain, my king
A: i won't let the white city of Minas Tirith be covered with indomie. i prefer it white and clean without MSG. cos if that happens isildur will turn in his grave
Me: wtf
rofl
Sig: A: i rather eat lembas bread. than indomie. indomie gives u garlic breath and i am sure arwen will not like it. she already hates my long beard which pricks her when we erm, kiss
HAHAHHAHAHA

Me: omg...
so who's your arwen?
?
that person on your desktop?
Sig: hmm... i cant imagine her with pointy ears
Me: don't need to
grow long hair can cover one
Sig: nah... somehow i cant imagine asian as elves
Me: tsk tsk
Sig: asian women i mean, cos you see right
elf men already look so gay
and japanese guys fit the bill
they are.... sexually ambiguous
Me: pffffftt
legolas does not look gay. and neither does elrond nor celeborn nor haldir

End of Part 3: The Return [or rather, the Decision to Return] of the King

Mine eyes...

Have been scarred, I tell you.

Seriously. Urgh.

Stupid Uni Crazy Week. We were warned about this few weeks ago when Bio Lecturer/Coordinator told us that her afternoon lectures were somehow always targeted for these kinds of things.

It didn't happen today during her lecture.

It HAPPENED during Lin Alg instead. The lecture was interrupted midway and my lecturer reacted with an "Ugh" and looked down. I didn't know if I was blushing or laughing. I can only remember ducking my head to the side when the left entrance opened and two completely naked guys stepped in and ran up the right aisle.

*grimace*
Thank goodness I was sitting near the left aisle. One guy left the theatre via the back entrance while the other went down the stairs and back to the front door where he stopped and said something along the lines of "Bye, my possums. I love you. Mua!" and exited.

Laughter all around. [Mostly guys I think.]
The lecturer had to stop and compose himself before continuing with the lesson. Haha!!
I don't think I was imagining it when he turned to the class and looked a little red.

Ewwwwww.....

My Eyes!!!!

It Don't Matter What The Haters Say....

Beautiful Woman was....

magical
metamorphical
motivating
lifechanging
inspiring
renewing
refreshing
cathartic
touching
groundbreaking
spiritual
.....

Like angels singing, more and yet less than words can say.

Indescribable.

Sem 2 !!!

The past hour spent on the internet just reminded me of stuff that I've always wanted to do. These are the little things....

- Write a ff/original story [the latter more likely]
- Choreograph a dance
- Endure a 9-12 hours long movie marathon
- Watch CCS seasons 1-2 and the movies in order. I never finished it.

This list is subject to change. :D

Of Spunky Little Chickens and Beasties

So today was the first day of Sem 2. And thank goodness the two tutes that I have scheduled for Mondays were not in session today. Otherwise I'd have to wake up at 9am...

But! I woke up at about 11ish today! Hah!

Chem 'lecture' today was really funny! Mostly because the first year coordinator spent the first half an hour talking about admin stuff. He's really funny....
He cracks jokes about how we either skip classes after the first few weeks of uni or keep switching streams, which when he said it, I interpreted as going for the same lecture more than once... Quoting him word for word; would be along these lines... "particularly at the start of the semester when the attendance is high".

And!!! He kept saying that he didn't want to flood our unimelb emails with too many notices so he'd post on the LMS instead....
"I don't like flooding your unimelb emails. however I will send emails to you if I think they are important, so please check your @unimelb emails. Or you can pop your emails to your gmail... or whatever you spunky little chickens use these days.."

Halfway through the coordinator's talk, my lecturer opens the door nearest to the lecturn, making a horrible noise.... and the coordinator goes, "What's wrong with that door? Why does it keep opening? [sees lecturer] What are you doing man? I'm not done yet."

Bio lecturer/coordinator was also really funny. She kept using the words beasties....
That aside though, I have no idea how I'm gonna survive her lectures. She seems to be scanning the whole lecture theatre for any trouble. She even told off a girl who was "looking around, with her chin on her hand" for distracting her.

Scary...

Send Some Guidance From Above

I guess...
The problem with knowing people a long time is that you have to constantly discover and assimilate the changes they've undergone... into what you know/thought you knew of them and what gives them their identity...

Because they don't/can't change every single facet of their personality.

Before the Great Divide...

So holidays are halfway gone. Results are out tomorrow if not the day after. At UL just now, Scott and Jon were telling me to go check my results by ordering them. Erh Hell No!!! I'm in no hurry to find out. Seriously.

Feel happy for Jon though. He got a really good grade for Socio, which he claims is the subject that he doesn't really care about.

There should be some law about grades and subjects that we care least/most about.

Played Boggle for quite possibly the first time in my life/a long time today. Can I just make this announcement as official as possible by saying that I suck at it? Practically all my words were called out. So yeah. But yes, Boggle was fun and all Ye People Who Returned Home for Winter missed out on SO much fun. Hah!

We had a 'massage therapy' session. Got to see Scott go through simulated labour pain - which was really calf, back and arm massages simultaneously. Sounded like he was in labour, hence the name. Yi Jing as well. Er.... Jon shouting which hurt more - his calf, arm or back. My funny knot near my shoulder blade making LOUD noises. Sharon squirming around and laughing due to the massage being er... ticklish-painful. Yup.

And all Ye People Who Returned Home for Winter missed out on Sharon's dessert + Yi Jing's Bday cake as well as Scott's Har Me aka Prawn Noodles!!!!! xp
Hah!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finished James Clemens's The Banned and the Banished Series. Was quite disgruntled with the ending which was really quick, though not abrupt. Can't decide if I like Joach's character or not.
And really, because I like my novels, in reference to the Fantasy genre, to have a little Romance in it.

[Spoiler!!]

All I find out in the end is that "We [Elena and Er'ril] lived... and that is all anyone can ask."
What's that supposed to mean?
Right, it might be open to interpretation, but.... it just seems not enough. Though I guess it falls in line with how the story was written.
And in the last few pages just after Ly'Chuk was killed, it says that Elena sees all her friend including Fardale. Shouldn't it be Mogweed because Fardale and Thorn were killed?

And about the Wit'ch Star. Do the elementals still have their power? I assume so otherwise the el'vin would never be able to drive their ships back home.
and Rodricko, Sheeshon and Hunt? and Nee'lahn too? Rodricko and Nee'lahn are elementals....
And why on earth did Kral appear out of nowhere to Tyrus? Isn't Kral dead? There was no explanation...

Ok last question and this might really be me whirling from finishing the series and so can't remember this, what about Jaston and Casa Darr?

I think I like BJT more... despite the violence in BJT. The gruesome stuff that happens in Banned and Bannished is more overpowering and disturbing.

[End Spoiler!!!]

Sigh...

Still, *heartmelt* for Elena and Er'ril. :D

oh!
Btw, Dengli has moved in.

Paparazzi

:)

Yep, I'm hooked on that song, and well, most of Lady GaGa's album at the moment. But I will not watch her music videos... I've heard too much about it to risk my er... mental well-being.

2nd week of Wimbledon! Hope Hewitt scrapes through this match against Stepanek - hope I spelt that right. Can't decide if I wanna see Hewitt or Djokovic against Federer in the finals, because, let's face it, Federer will be in the Finals. Urgh.

Anyway, missed going to Dymocks today. Will definitely be heading there tomorrow and spending majority of the day there. It's the last day of the 20% off RRP Sale!!!!!! Have to get Wit'ch Star [hope it's still there] and I'll probably check out the um.... Night Shadow trilogy? Can't remember the title, but the author is Brent Weeks.

Just wish I had waited a few days before buying Wit'ch Fire and Wit'ch Storm. If I'd waited till the sale came on, I would have saved at least 7 dollars!!!!! argh. Oh well.

Oooh. The commentator for the Hewitt vs Stepanek match that I'm watching... just said " Must have been an imposter in the first hour [ie the first two sets.]." haha. Great comeback from being down 2 sets to love for Hewitt!!!

This match is taking ages!! I need to sleep sooon.... Oh well, it's the fifth set now. Can't last for much longer. Need to be asleep by 4, so I can wake up by 1030 tmr. hopefully... Sigh tennis screws up by sleeping timetable I think.

Go Hewitt!!!

Wimbledon 2009

Btw, last post was my 200th! Woohoo..

-_-

Go Kendrick!!!!!

So sad that Nadal pulled out because of injury. He needs to watch his game so he can last longer careerwise. His knees are gonna, touch wood, suffer loads with the way he plays.

This also brings back memories of last winter when I'd stay up to watch the tennis while at the same time, try to carry out the bet and read that pile of books that I borrowed from the library. Hehe.

Also reminds me of the horrible fire alarms that were set off the night of the Men's Wimbledon final. Haha. Funny thing was the rain caused the match to be delayed. Hah!

Ok, back to Kendrick vs Murray.

Sem 1 Liberation!

My fav quote for this semester's set of exams..
Accounting: For the meritorious purpose of confining excruciating boredom and insanity to a small, select circle..

Yup yup..

SO now that I'm FREE, i'm gonna go watch movies and shop. Both will definitely be taking a toll on the wallet. Sigh.

Get back to my book now.

Another thing, exams have really ruined my appetite. I can't eat properly now. Urgh.

Sweet Dreams are Made of These.....

*starry-eyed and sighing*

yup. dance part 2. haha. love the song... wheee. ok i shall spare myself the commentary, especially since the judges' comments are there too. :)

love tabitha and napoleon. if i'm not wrong.. they started really choreographing for sytycd in season 3 right? AND... they're a married couple together in the same business? how awesome is that???? to have the same passiona and job as your spouse.. i mean there are so many things that could go wrong there. but it seems to be working out fine between them. not that i'd know if anything went wrong. their choreography was great!

oh hidz and jas!! apparently travis wall choreographed this. i've been imaginging travis dancing this. hahah. beautiful..
30/5: too lazy to find the vid. soo... here's sexy love again!! yay! so sweet.

um better quality vid found here.

and i couldn't resist [another] one of my old time favourites....

funny enough.. i always though allison and ivan's argentine tango was the first one on sytycd. but nope.. i guess it's coz i didn't like blake, and probably missed this one. hehe

hm.... seems like they were concentrating on the footwork too much. although credit must be given that the footwork was crazzzyyyyyy. blake got more steps though. i think. as in.. more argenting tango-y steps.

okkkkk i'm done posting youtube videos. anybody have the sweet dreams are made of these song? i want!!!

Gotta Get Through This....

How good was the Argentine Tango by Talia and Ben??

i saw this on tv... weeks ago. haha. love sytycd!!!
although i must say... it seems like there wasn't enough chemstry between them. as in it was intense.. but the CHEMISTRY just wasn't strong enough. i keep thinking that maybe they could have looked at each other more... you know... need that electric-chemistry gaze thing that you see on tv. heh.
aside from her beautiful lines.... can you tell that talia's a ballerina?

I liked the song here... but the dancing... left a lot to be desired. sigh.
Kat seemed to tense, her right arm/shoulder seemed.... the posture of it looked wrong somehow in the beginning. ok, so i'm not a ballroom expert, but even in heels her presence in the dance seems to be stunted. was she supposed to be bending her knees so much?
another thing... when charlie walks around her while she rolls her shoulders... couldn't she like.. follow his movement with her head. instead of just staring in front. sooo wooden. charlie seems to be looking at her. but she just looks like she's staring past his shoulder.. where's the connection?

must say though... do like her head movement at around 00:52 and her arghh! expression at 00:46-47. sadly though, her kicks seem to be a bit... all over the place. like they weren't centered enough.

love the ending loads.

and since cheong and i had love story stuck in our heads for a few days [well, maybe just me] after watching the video during dinner at notturno... here's this.

and i love watching this when i'm pissed or depressed.
ok ok.. one last vid... hopefully they all work.

*cue You Make Me Feel Like Dancing*.
sigh.....

Reminisce

After 2 months of not looking at this blog. I can't take it anymore.
I can't make up my mind so I'll just have to juggle between this, LJ and wordpress.
*shudders*

I miss this layout too much. I spent so much time customising it because, let's just face it. I'm a HTML noob. Especially after quitting diaryland, I promptly decided that html would be of less use although I did use blogskins which other people created and submitted to other websites for free.

I miss the tagboard/cbox.
I miss the photo of the sunset I took at Wrixon.
This blog is just... it chronicles my life from Sec school till now. I have no idea how i ever though of giving it up. Stupid move on my part.

Hm, maybe i'll just post to all three places. Save me the trouble of thinking what should go where. urgh.

Day 6 was great! o_o at the dance.

Dilemma

I don't know....

what to do
what to think
what to believe
how to behave

who to be.

or if i should move.
