new year, new dreams, new hopes
Picture update!

I know the pics are always hideously huge but being not too tech-savvy, I've no idea how to make them smaller, so. Ha ha. Anyhoo, hope everyone will have a gooooood '07. I've got tons of things I wanna learn, achieve, attain, possess, and what have you, next year! 1st Jan will unfortunately be spent working till late, ohwell.
love to all.:)
/edit
I keep hearing You Make Me Wanna EVERRRYWHERE I go. It's such an emo love song, I don't like. On a side note, a certain someone being absent today made my day better, I'm starting to dislike coughcough more & more. coughcough wears this long black face every day which I find incredibly repulsive and I think just about every one of us can only superficially connect with her, if that makes sense. Someone ought to teach her how to smile and relak in one corner.
12 days of Christmas
Work has been great despite the too-short-breaks and too-long-working-hours. My colleagues are thankfully young, nice and they make such a fun bunch to work with, I've had lots of lovely surprise visits that've never failed to make my days and the customers come from all over the world! Had zee BEST-EST CHRISTMAS EVE!:D Our yearly family christmas party was for some reason or another, filled with so much more love<3 and joy this year; felt so incredibly.. blessed and fortunate when I hugged the grandparents, parents, the sister & little cousins to wish them Merry Christmas. & the young carollers contributed to the whole christmassy ambience, it was really wonderful. Got the most thoughtful cards and gifts and took pleeeeenty of photos to capture all our big smiles and happy faces. I love how wonderfully closely-knitted my family is, how we always get together for birthdays, other special days and sometimes even when there's nothing to celebrate except the love we have for one another. :)
Pre-Christmasparty was spent with the usual suspects and it was a much needed catch up session, listened to Vic gush about a certain cutie she met during her backpacking trip, exchanged some of the many interesting things that've happened at our workplaces, and established a funny association with pears&apples! Ha ha (inside joke).
Actually too much has been happening of late, and it'll be way too wordy if I went through everything, so that's all for now!
BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! :D
P.S I'm volunteering at a home (Lions Home for The Elderly at Toa Payoh Rise) Is anyone interested to join me? :) I got further inspired by the (cute) Korean boys who give free hugs along Orchard. Ha ha ha
Splish Splash
Looking for a job proved to be much easier & faster than expected! Popped into the Tommy Hilfiger boutique at Raffles City, a short interview was conducted there&then and tadahhh, HIRED! :D *BEAMSSS. I am honestly quite psyched up (I dont really know why when it's just being a sales girl ha ha), though the working hours are rather long & that's nothing to get excited about. I'm crossing my fingers that the other part-timers are fun & nice and I'll meet interesting people. :) I start work TOMORROW by the way!
Talked for hours at Pacific Coffee Company with Mister Fast-Paced (ha ha) & it was refreshing to talk bout things both of us don't usually share with other friends. Realized how daily conversations with others usually revolve around more trivial issues, & they usually start with "Hey how was your day?" or "Hey what're you doing?"
Although I got drenched to the skin, my jeans got very wet&heavy and I kept stepping on huge puddles of water that made my jeans wetter&heavier, I actually enjoyed the walk home. :)
Okay, laters!
I <3 Christmas!
The recital, Let It Snow, was really good although we did miss a good five songs cause I was late! ): Andrew did such an amazing job, and it was all very impressively put together. I admire him for having so much.. courage to do something (alone) this big, I can never do something like that, assuming I've got musical talent to boast of in the first place. To be honest, I felt quite proud of him.:) I believe he's one of my most mature/sensible/talented 18 year old friends! And it brought on all the AWWWs when he dedicated a song to his girlfriend; I wondered how it'd feel like to have someone playing the sax (or any musical instrument for that matter) for you in front of so many people. I'll just melt and fall maaadly in love with that fella, it'll be a bonus if he were hot & insanely charming like JUDE LAW (THE HOLIDAY WAS REALLY GOOD BTW! A very.. feel-good show I felt, I was smiling to myself (though quite jealously ):) every time the couples hugged/ kissed/ said the sweetest things to each other HA HA HA)
Yesterday night was rather interesting- plans for the night were all impromptu, and the company was a queer mix, but it was quite fun afterall, we spent most of it talking, exchanging stories & waiting for a cab ha ha :)
All the Christmas songs playing everywhere are putting me in such a jolly Christmassy mood! I remember going around town snapping pretttty photos of the lightings/deco in 05 & I shall do that again this year :) Last year's Christmas was really quite awful, I'm hoping 06's will be muchmuch better. :D I love how everyone in the family makes use of the occasion to shower each other with presents and hugs and more ILOVEYOUs than usual. <3
Daddy & Cali have been funnily-cute the past two days:
Cali(holding her comb and searching her bag furiously): Where is my comb ah??? I think I lost my comb leh.
Mich: Huh really oh no, are you sure? (then spots it in her hands)
Cali, you're holding it.......
Cali&Mich: HAHAHAH
Cali: *proceeds to share her condensed milk story* LOL.
Daddy: Eh mish (yeah he calls me miSH lol) how to use my phone camera? (It's a new phone)

& finally some pictures:)

HOKAAAAY GNIGHT!:)
So what is love?
Two days of Christmas shopping with mommydearest, night out with the bowlers, first time KBOX-ING (& it was Ladies' Night! HA HA HA), went off-key and stopped halfway through songs too many times cause my Chinese has gone so rusty I'm so ashamed of myself! Ha ha, it was HILARIOUS how we knew the lyrics to choruses so well so it was like "mumblemumblemumble -pause- oh shit how to sing this part?!-mumblingcontinues,and suddenly Last! Christmas! I! gave! you! my! heart! But! the! very! next! day!,you! gave! it! awaaaay! This! year! To! save! me! from! tears! I'll! give! it! to! someone! speeeehhcial!!" HA HA HA :)omg, can you picture that.
Every day has been almost too perfect, albeit rather aimless. Anyway, we've plans to go to Thailand with the juniors next year, I am quite excited already. :D I remember how during our trip this year, the parts I looked forward to the most were when we weren't bowling, and next year, NO BOWLING! Heh YAY YAY YAY it will be such fun. WHO ARE GOING BTW?
Read this, it's lovely:

WHAT IS LOVE TO YOU?
5/12/06
We had our prom yesterday, so that meant our two years in college have officially been brought to closure. ): Talked bout it briefly with the girls, and wondered aloud if we'll still be as closely knitted, if we'll still get together for happy group outings/ shopping dates, if we'll still be as at ease in each others' company as we are now. Out of sight, out of mind? I hope not.
Though this seemingly short chapter of my life ended in an extremely unexpected manner, it was a beaaautiful night nonetheless, with a gazillion pretty girls all made up, some went in cool retro outfits (There were some who brought retro shades to complete the look, how cool is that! VIC HAD VAVAVOOM BIG HOT HAIR AND LOOKED LOVELY IN HER GREEN DRESS, LIZ HAD VERY PRETTY MAKEUP&TAI-TAI-HAIR AND A HOT DRESS, STEPH AND JAN LOOKED VERY ELEGANT IN SILVER DRESSES, AND STEPH'S NOVO SHOES WERE INCREDIBLY SEXY! CALI LOOKED GREAT;NOT AT ALL LIKE A TREETRUNK AND EVEN HAD FUNKY STREAKS IN HER HAIR TO BOOT :) ), others went in flowy feminine dresses, while the guys all looked incredibly smart in blazers. The baggy SA uni covers up all these (sizzlewizzle!)hotbods! Anyhow, the whole of yesterday equated to lots of virgin experiences. Went for a complimentary body scrub + massage in the day, that was omg almost orgasmic please :)))) cause I was aching so badly that walking up/down stairs was SUCH A CHORE! After spa-ing, proceeded to caking on all the ew-y makeup (I insisted on nothing on my lips despite the mother's nagging) and bunning of hair.(My hair was so stiff thanks to evil hairspray, every strand would stay in place in the strongest of winds)
And then, we got stuck in a jam that made daddy curse & swear, and the non-stop incoming calls caused a mild panic attack. Ha ha omg, actually it was all quite amusing. To make things worse, we overshot Maritus Mandarin so that meant having to walk from Cine, tottering on high peep-toe heels with my fat toes threatening to burst out from the front, and carrying an unglam-ly huge paper bag filled to the brim with post-prom stuff. HA HA. So of course I was late, and poor Reg and Xinle had to wait for me for so long. :/
Anyhow, Tiff (thankfully I had her with me), June, Vanessa (i think), Priscilla and I were paired up with five other boys. They all looked amazing, especially the girls! I felt SO FLAT&FAT next to them (they were a lot more deserving!) and we were commenting how we made a very colourful bunch, ha ha. The Q&A and skit got us terribly nervous and I wanted to run away halfway through the skit cause it was too embarrassing! Ha ha ha. And of course the dance with Andy was equally embarrassing cause Mich & retro dances don't go well, so we just wiggled and jiggled awkwardly and laughed at ourselves. LOL. All the Andy-fans probably wanted to kill me so thankfully it ended rather quickly. :) Also decided that I can't do pageants and all the jazz, so said no to the seniors. Decided too that since Andy wouldn't be in Singapore and I wasn't very keen, we'd give Project Glambassador 06 a miss. I hope they got the others to rep SA :/
POST PROM WAS FUNFUNFUN though it was really stuffy/crowded and I had to keep checking if the hands on me belonged to Vic/Reg/Liz. LOL. The company was great of course, with very nice juniors being our bodyguards, ha ha. Left Attica when it closed, and decided to head back to the hotel, where we talked till we dozed off in borrowed blazers (Vic, please thank your nice friends for us!) Woke up with a stiff neck and hair that was still hard (!), and finally took a long bus ride back HOME:)
Only bad thing bout yesterday was that all our camera batteries died on us ): But that aside, it was a grrreat night ;) Pics another day!
SPGs- slumber party girls :)
THE PAST WEEK HAS BEEN BEYOND FABULOUS :D Had tons of fun with the wonderful-est girls, secretly laughed at posers drowning in bigass tshirts & the baggiest jeans, complete with caps covering half their faces, heheh, pretended not to understand ahbengs (!), made a new red striped shirt "friend" HAHA, watched DVDs and learnt (the terribly difficult ): ) dance moves from Zen&Rodricks and decided that Liz&I should pick up less vigourous/ slow-mo dances like BALLETTTT, so we PRANCED (Vic's fave word! :)) around two nights in a row and hopefully jiggled some of the stubborn fats away. But now the eye bags and dark eye rings are starting to haunt me cause of all the bad lack of sleep, but that's secondary when every moment was more than well spent. :)
The farewell got us seniors quite sad and emotional, the juniors did so much- loved the slideshow, the cookies, the rich yummy cake & the picture frame. It was too sweet & touching. I'll miss saints bowling, everyone's incredibly sincere and I agree with liz: "you know, we girls are so different individually but we make great friends." :)
The run with Marc yesterday was good, loved the route, shall go run there more often since it's so near our homes! But the Standard Chartered 10km run with Ade&Ubri today was even better, felt extremely accomplished after it all! Didn't manage to see the timing but it was bout 60 mins, and that was what I hoped to achieve, so YAY!! :D Breakfast was my main motivation, so I chomped downed THREE EGG TARTS, TWO BOTTLES OF H20, TWO BANANAS after that, hoho, fat me.
Shopped with Cali yesterday too, and oh golly, it was more tiring than running!! HAHAH but at least we got almost everything we need for Tues, so :)
Okay I think I'll have an early lunch now, erm yes I'm hungry again. :D Talkin bout food, I've learnt how to make chicken (very random, but I still wanna keep a chicken) curry and I made it for Daddy & his mahjong kakis on Friday and they liked it, wooohoo my lucky husband, hahahah
AND! I've registered for Basic Theory Test! Yikes hope I pass on the first attempt. Girls and cars generally don't mix too well. :/
LOTS OF PHOTOS:
