My mom's sister passed away. She was my favorite aunt. Her name was Aunt Janet. She was always so happy and positive. She would always give you compliments, tell you how much you were loved, and how special you were. She had been battling cancer for over a year and finally went home because of it.
I drove up with Tina. Toresa drove up separate and dropped Maddox off to his dad before coming and staying with us for the weekend. We rented an Airbnb. We ate way too much food the night we got there.
The next morning Tina and I got up and listened to General Conference before we ate lunch and went to the funeral.
Shenanigans waiting in the chapel
The next day we picked up my mom and grabbed lunch before we headed home. It was nice to hang out and see my sisters who I don't get to talk to as often as I would like. Funerals make you think about what is important, reflect on how you want to spend you time, and how you want to be remembered.
