Temple Trip

We hadn't taken the kids to the temple in a while so we thought it would be a good idea to go there after church one Sunday and have FHE.  It was a disaster and my kids were so loud but I think we get points for trying right...

This is our real life...

I am grateful I get to be a family forever even on days like this one!

Saints and Sinners Half Marathon

Two weeks after my Cedar City 1/2 Marathon, Trev and I signed up to do another 1/2 marathon called Saints and Sinners.  We were on the team running in memory of Alyn Beck (the officer who was killed a couple of months ago).

Trev hurt his knee during training so we only ended up running 3 1/2 miles and walking the rest.  It was long but if gave us a long time to talk and enough being kid less.

Enjoying the view on our race

Pirate Day for Donuts

I love Krispy Cremes pirate day.  You dress of like a pirate and get a free dozen donuts.

He was so excited to get his donuts. I think he ate 3 in the first few minutes.

Jade and Davyn loved them too.

Cedar Half Marathon

I was so excited to do this race. I had needed something to work towards to get me back in the swing of running since I took 5 months off after my last 1/2 marathon.  It was so much fun and a great excuse to get a girls weekend out of it.  We left friday afternoon and went to St. George.  We of course had to stop and food load for our race the next day.  We ate at Texas Roadhouse.  Delicious!!!

We then drove up to Cedar City.....

Hollie, Pansy, and I in front of our hotel

Hollie made our shirts....love them

Us waiting at the start line....it was freezing.

This is me about to finish the race.  I had nothing left.  Running 10 miles down hill and losing over 2000 ft in elevation was not easy.  I nearly crossed the finish line walking

I was so sad because I missed my goal of a half marathon by 13 seconds....I did it in 2 hours 13 seconds.

This is how I treated myself for finishing the race...a whole box of Buffalo Wild Wings salt and vinegar fries....and I did eat them all.
