We Heart Mickey!! Day 5

10.06.2013

Sunday morning we had reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's, which is located inside Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel.  This place did not disappoint.  It was an all-you-can-eat buffet complete with Mickey Shaped waffles and pancakes.  All the characters come around to the tables signing autograph books and getting pictures.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and if we couldnt shoved more food down our throats after the first 5 plates full, we would have.

Ready to go to Chef Mickeys

 MICKEY!!!

Rhett was fine when the characters were far away, but if they came near him...he had a different reaction.

 GOOFY!!

Zoey was SO EXCITED to see MINNIE....Minnie was all she cared about!  This made her day!

Dont take it personally, Minnie...

DONALD!!

 PLUTO!!

After finishing breakfast, we had the rest of the day to do whatever...since the monorails stop right there inside the Contemporary Resort, we decided to hop on one to Epcot and then once we got to Epcot, we we just stayed on it and rode back to the hotel.  We did it just to ride it...it was probably a good 20 minute ride so we went for it...plus its FREE of charge so why not?!?!

The girls were having a little too much fun dancing around the poles on the monorail

We Heart Mickey!! Day 4

10.05.2013

Since it was Saturday, we wanted to avoid any of the parks.  We decided to take the kids over to the Orlando LDS Temple.  This place holds such a special place in our hearts, since it was just about 7 years ago that Mike and I began our lives together there.  We havent been back since our wedding day, so it was such a fun experience to take our cute lil family over there to see the temple and to see where the Michael W Turok family first began.

It turned out to be a gorgeous day at the temple.  We were so glad we were able to go and visit.  LOVE this place!!

Later that evening, we took the kids to Downtown Disney....we rather enjoy going to Downtown Disney, its fun to walk around the different stores and people watch.  The weather was nice, the kids had a blast, and overall it was a nice, relaxing Saturday in the land of Happiness.

Lego Store...so awesome

There is this giant "Stitch" that squirts out water...its Addison's favorite thing at Downtown Disney

We Heart Mickey!! Day 3

10.04.2013

We decided to get up and take the kiddos over to SeaWorld.  Mike has never been, and it has been a LONG time since I have been last.  We headed over to the World of Shamu and once again, the crowds were non-existant!  The kids got to walk on every single kiddie ride there, it was fabulous.  And whats the point of SeaWorld if you dont go and watch the famous "Shamu"Show.  The kids enjoyed it, as did the adults.  Although SeaWorld isnt as exciting as Disney, we still had a great day there.  Our only disappointment was the kids werent able to touch a dolphin.  They have a dolphin pool where the dolphins swim by and sometimes you can touch them if they come up close enough.  Unfortunately for us, they did not and poor lil Zoey was quite disappointed.  But all in all we had a great day at SeaWorld.

While me and the kids were riding some of the kiddie rides, Mike went and got us some good seats for the Shamu Show.  We were pretty close to the front and seated in the "splash zone".  Thankfully we had some taller people sitting right in front of us and they took most of the "splashing" for us.

Rhett found his seat for the show on the steps...his face says it all how he felt about the show

These animals amaze me with their jumps and listening to commands...so cool

Mike and the girls on one of the rides

and of course the mamma got some fun in, too.  Thats me on the very back row, pink shirt, and the only one that seems to be enjoying the ride

Once again, we suck at pictures and didnt get to many....we will try to get better that that  :/

We Heart Mickey!! Day 2

(10.03.2013)  We had tickets to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  Since the party lasts up until 2am, we decided to take a chill day, and just head to the park that evening for the party.  Although they dont advertise that you can get into the park at 4:00pm, Mike did his homework before we left for the trip and found out that you can, indeed, enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00pm with your party tickets, even though the actual party doesnt start until 7:00pm.  Since we went right at 4, we pretty much had the park to ourselves.  There was NOBODY there!  It was fantastic!  We walked on every single ride with NO WAIT whatsoever, it was fabulous!

After riding some rides, Mike's best friend Dymtro, whom he grew up with, was there with his wife and their little boy Ethan.  It was so fun to meet up with them and hang out with them for the evening.  The Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party we thought, was aweome.  People get really into by dressing up and there were some serious costumes to be seen.  They set up Trick-O-Treat stations all around the park for everyone to go Trick-O-Treating at.  Also, they had a parade with all the Disney Villains in it, along with Mickey and Minnie, of course.  We had a fabulous time attending the party.

The kids did FANTASTIC considering we stayed at the park until 1:00am!!  Our kids are such troopers.

I love how into it Disney gets with the Holidays...seriously wish those Imagineers could decorate my house for the holidays

The beginning of the parade...unfortunately our camera was on the wrong setting for night time and a lot of our parade pictures turned out pretty blurry  (insert sad face here)

Addison wanted a picture with Minnie

Before the parade started...Addison got to dance with Phineas and Ferb.  She knew the whole dance thanks to "JUST DANCE KIDS (Disney)"  She was loving every minute of it.

We Heart Mickey!! Day 1

(10.02.2013)  So once again, our family made a trip to Disney World.  Ohhhh how we love our Disney.  We got a really good deal on our trip and as always, had the best time!!  Our trip started out by us flying in on a Wednesday morning.  We rented a car, which much to my dismay, was a minivan.  Now take notes on this b/c I will only say this once, but driving that minivan---actually changed my views (just a teeny tiny bit) on minivans.  The minivan we got to drive was fully loaded, and that dvd player and bucket seats were fabulous, not gonna lie.  We rather enjoyed it (SIGH, there I said it).

living proof that i drove a minivan....my 1st time, too

After sucking down our pride and getting into our minivan, we drove to our hotel.  We stayed at Marriott's Harbour Lake Vacation Club and it was fabulous.  It was just newly renovated and we were the first people to stay in our newly renovated room.  It was fresh, clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here.  Plus, check out this pool.....

Needless to say, our kids were in Water Heaven! And this was just one part of the pool.  There was a whole separate splash pad and pool with a bigger water slide. We basically spent the whole first day at the pool.

Zoey's turn

Rhett and the mamma getting in on the action

Attempted group shot, Zoey was being...well...Zoey

There's our happy girl

Rhett livin' it up

Another awesome feature about the resort was that everybody there was some kind of family activity to be involved in...today's was a hulu hoop contest, Addison wanted in on it (she is our competitive one)

Rhett giving it a shot

This is Rhett after Day 1, poor lil guy didnt even know what the rest of the week had in store for him.
