Easter Sunday

The kids scored big this year with the Easter Bunny.  Thanks to some leftover giftcards from Christmas, the Easter Bunny was able to get the kiddos some pretty sweet things this year.

Checking out what they got----please excuse Zoey's immodesty

Rhett checking out his new toy...a basketball hoop (yes he's little, but the Easter funny found a good deal)

The night before Easter Sunday, the girls went outside and planted "magic" jelly beans, the next morning after they woke up and got dressed, they went outside to find that the magic jelly beans had grew into lollipops....

They were pretty excited

As always, the annual attempt to get all 3 kiddos to look AND smile all at the same time.  One day hopefully we will get a good shot and conquer this task...

After attending church, and listening to the True meaning of Easter...we came home to an amazing "smoked" chicken done by Mike.  Our friends the Oldham's came over for dinner where we ate and watched the University of Louisville and Duke fight it out in Basketball to take the winning seat at the NCAA National Championship.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  We are so thankful for our Savior and for all that he did for us.  We are so truly blessed and forever grateful.

Egg Hunting With Friends

On 03.30.2012, we headed over to Powder Mills Park for an Easter Egg Hunt with a bunch of our friends.  We had a blast with our friends the Grider's, Rasmussen's, Oldham's, Chandler's, and the Faust's.  The weather was perfect and the kids went home with plenty of eggs and candy to last them awhile.  It was a great way to start off the Easter Weekend.

Egg Dying

On 03.25.2013, we decided to dye our Easter Eggs for Family Home Evening.  The girls had a blast doing it.  Unfortunately, Rhett missed out on all the fun b/c he was in bed--we did it at like 8:30 at night.  Anyways, here's some pictures capturing our fun and "EGG-cellent" night  (yeah, you like how I used the "egg" in there, didnt ya!?)

Cousins Visit, Niagra Falls, and Uncle Nic Moving In

Back in February, when we paid the fam a little visit, my brother Nicholas decided he needed a little change.  So an agreement happened that Nic was to return back to New York with us to live in our home for awhile.  So far, so good.  We get rent money from him  :)

When returning home, Mike got the surprise of me calling him the NIGHT BEFORE I was to return back home to inform him that I was bringing back with me, Uncle Nic, Aunt Heather, and cousins Will and Peter.  Yeah, he was quite surprised.  Anyways---Heather and her boys decided to make the trip with us back to NY since Blaine (Heather's husband was in Utah taking the BAR exam)  they stayed with us for about 5 days and it was great having them here.  Once again I suck and have NO pictures to document their stay here.  While here, we took Heather and her boys to Palmyra to see the famous LDS church sites.  We also took Heather and her boys to our awesome Children's museum we have here.  It was fun having them and hope they can return back to the area when the weather is a bit warmer----Take Note:  dont visit Western New York in February  :)

The week after Heather's visit and Uncle Nic moving in with us, Nic's girlfriend, Kendall decided to drive up to New York from Souther Virginia University where she goes to school.  It was Kendall's spring break and she bravely decided to spend her holiday in the snowy tundra of New York.  During Kendall's stay, we showed her around Rochester and took the hour trip across the border into Canada to Niagra Falls.

We loved having all the visitors come and hope to have more this summer.  Call us up anytime if you are ever in the area!  We would love to see you and always know that we have a room available for ya FREE of charge  :)

We Just Cant Stay Away

As always, we just cant stay away from Carolina.  Me and the kids took a quick trip down to Carolina to see the fam back in February.  Unfortunately, I did not get many pictures---i have really been slacking in the picture department lately.  Anywhooo, here are the few that I did get...

Whats a visit to Grandpa's without getting in a little Hot Tub time?!?!

Nana got a little happy in the Disney Store when all their pajamas were on sale, and when Nana gets happy, so do the grandbabies  :)  Here they all are in their cute new Disney PJs

The 3 boys in the family (minus cousin Tate who wasnt born yet)

As always, we had a blast in Carolina and cant wait to go back!  The week was full of swimming in the hot tub, shopping, and just hanging out with the fam.

Family Room Campout

Addison has been dying to have a campout...so on 02.15.2013, we finally decided to do so.  Luckily for Rhett, he got to go down early in his own bed.  But for the rest of us, we busted out the blankets and pillows for a Family Room Campout.  We got to watch movies and eat popcorn and spend the night on the floor.  The girls thought it was great.  Although sleeping on the floor isnt Mike and I's ideal place to catch some shut-eye on a Friday night, it was very much worth the lack of sleep and sore backs just to create those memories and have that time with our sweet girls.

Valentine's Day (yeah, Im a little late getting it posted)

Yes, I'm aware Valentine's Day was 2 months ago...I've been a big time slacker at blogging lately.  I'm aware, thanks.  But I am here, finally blogging again and hoping to keep up with everything since it totally sucks trying to play catch up.  So here we go...

This year for Valentine's we went on a family date (definition: the whole family went out together to dinner), we went to P.F. Changs the night before Valentine's day in attempt to beat the V-Day rush to the restaurants.  After which we went shopping inside of the mall that Chang's is attached to.  After walking in, Mike decided to surprise me with forcing me to buy a NICE purse.  Definition of NICE purse:  one that would last more than a month.  I have a habit of buying cheap purses, and the consequence of that is those cheap purses dont last me very long.  After looking around the mall, entering about 20 different stores, I finally found the perfect purse--a gorgeous Coach brand, Mint-Colored Purse.  Oh yeah, its awesome and I look good carrying around :)  I actually look like my husband has a real job...its pretty great.  Sorry, I need to get a picture of it on my actual camera and not just on my cell phone.

Ok, after the hubs scoring BIG time on V-Day Eve.. Valentine's Day was just another typical day in the Turok household.  I did manage to wake up early enough to make the kiddos some red, heart-shaped pancakes, after which Addison got to go to Speech Therapy, and then she was off to preschool.  That afternoon, after daddy returned home from work, the "Valentine Man" paid us a visit bringing the girls some chocolates and Tinkerbell Bubbles.  Rhett got some candy as well, along with some new HotWheels cars.

Here are my 3 perfect lil Valentines

Rhett happy to finally have some more "boy" toys around the house

Happy Valentine's Day, 2 months late.
