Powers Farm Market

First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN.  My kids got totally hooked up with LOTS of candy, and are all now sugared up and hopefully will go to sleep soon.

ANYWAYS, here I am trying to catch up on "me" blogging.....so last Friday (10.26.20120), we went to the Powers Farm Market.  Its this fun little Farmer's type Market that is locally owned and operated right here in Pittsford.  Every fall they set up these HUGE tee-pees that you can walk through and they have lit up pumpkins and glow in the dark skeletons and different Halloween scenes inside.  Its fun for the kids and cool for the adults.  Along with that, they have a petting zoo, all which are free to get into.  We have heard good things about this place so we met up with some friends and went.  The girls had a great time and we will for sure be returning back next year.  The weather was perfect and the kids were entertained for over 2 hours which is GREAT for both mommy and kiddos.

The best we gonna get of this little turkey

These two went through the tee-pees about 100 times....Addie was the best big sister holding Zoey's hand each time they went through b/c Zoey was nervous.  Nice to see some sisterly love in these two, b/c when they are home together, its a whole other story!

A Little Quack Quack Time In The Village

We had some family pictures done on 10.25.2012, in the Village of Pittsford.  Afterwords we promised the girls they could feed the ducks that reside there.  We love coming to the village and walking along the waterfront there right on the Erie Canal.  The weather was perfect and the fall colors were beaming.  Always a good time with the ducks in the Village.

Peak of Fall

Last week New York was at its peak season for Fall Foilage.  Every where you turned, you can see the gorgeous fall colors beaming from every tree and bush.  We have a nature park right across the street from us...the weather was perfect and the fall colors were calling our names.  So we decided to take a little walk on the trail.  We were in "awe" the whole time taking in the gorgeous fall atmosphere we were in.  We are so grateful to lie in a place that gives us so much beauty to enjoy.  The kids had a blast playing in the leaves.  Even Rhett got to get in on the action for a bit.  Thank you Fall for being so good to us this year.  We have thoroughly enjoyed you.  Sadly, the leaves are falling off more and more each day and its already starting to look more "wintery"...sad, I know.  But we will enjoy every piece of fall we can until the first snow comes, which has yet to happen thank goodness.  These pictures show just how much fun the kids had playing...

Zoo Boo

Yesterday (10.20.2012), some friends of ours got us tickets to our local Zoo's "Zoo Boo".  We got the kids dressed up and headed out.  Addison is going to be a witch this year for Halloween, Zoey is Merida from the new Disney movie "Brave", and Rhett is Darth Vader.   We had a good time at Zoo Boo and the kids got hooked up with toys and candy.  Needless to say, they were some happy kids leaving the zoo.

The girls pictured with our friends the Chandlers..

Pumpkin Painting

This past Monday night (10.15.2012) we decided to let the girls paint their pumpkins for FHE.  And of course they had a blast doing so...what kid wouldnt?  Rhett was just happy to be able to observe what was going on.  The kids are so excited for Halloween and its hard to believe its just around the corner.

I took the girls outside to have some kind of photo shoot but there were 2 problems with that... 1)Addie was in her PJs bc she lives in them and 2) I had no cooperation from Zoey whatsoever.  Oh well, this is what we got:

Addie being Addie...this girl loves the camera and attention

 Another Addie pose

And this little turkey just refuses to look at the camera

 Oh well, she's still cute
