Its A Hard Life...
Its a hard life being a 2 year old, eh? I thought it was a little too quiet after I had turned on a movie for the little one...after doing some dishes, I went in to check on her, and this is what I found....sitting in the chair, watching a movie, feet propped up, blanket in lap, and chowing down on some chips. I dont even remember her coming in grabbing the bag of chips out of the pantry! She's a sneaky one, and at least she chose somewhat healthy chips, I mean they were "Baked Ruffles"...haha oh this girl always knows how to make her mom laugh.

Happy Birthday To Me...
So today I turned the Big 25...yep, still young and livin'. This birthday has been a good one, cant say it has been the most exciting, but how exciting can it get when you are miserably pregnant and only a week and half away from having a baby??!! Today has just been kind of a chill, relaxing Sunday so I am really not complaining. Plus I had my husband home for most of the day..no school, no Clinical and he has been on "Addie" duty which is a vacation in itself for me.
Yesterday to celebrate, we headed up to Nashville to eat at one of Mike and I's favorite places, The "Cheesecake Factory"....its pretty good stuff. After eating, we walked around the mall we were at, and then we headed on over to Opryland to the Opry Mills Mall. It was nice to get out of Jackson and go to a "real" mall...here in Jackson we have a pretty pitiful excuse for a mall...it doesnt even deserve to be called a mall, lets just leave it at that.
But we got home late last night, and then today we went to church, came home, and chilled outside for awhile. We have had amazing weather here in Tennessee and so we have to enjoy it while we can before it gets too hot or the tornadoes start blowing through.
So again, a Happy Birthday to me and thanks, hon for helping in making this a very nice, peaceful, relaxing day. Here's to a good 25 years of life!

Here are some pictures from our day outside today....Mike has had this fishing pole for a couple of years...I gave it to him kind of as a gag gift one year and he has kept it all this time knowing that one day we would have kids. Well today he finally busted it out of its package and let Addison play with it in the yard....she had a pretty good time with it and got the concept of casting and reeling the fish back in pretty quickly. It was pretty funny to watch and she was very serious about her fishing...

Who Needs A Pool............???
.......when you have the toilet to use as a pool for your toys....YEP. This is what "little one" was doing while Mom was trying to vacuum the house. Toilet/Pool use for a couple of Disney toys, and a tea party on the side. Do you really have to ask?? YES peoples, that is toilet water in the teapot and measuring cup that she was using as her teacup. This was the excitement of our day...the highlight! Just thought I would give you a small glimpse of my life today.
Happy Birthday, Nic!!

Addie's 30 Month Stats
So this past week I had to take Addison to her 30 month Doc appointment. I figure I better post the stats now before I forget them and so I have them down, again for "journaling" sake.
I am proud to report that she is a perfectly healthy, normal (for the most part) little girl. She weighs in at 29 lbs, just about 38 inches tall, and all is well. The only thing she is a little behind on is her speech. For those of you who know, I have been a little frustrated on her speech. She says many words, and understands everything, but she is not really speaking any sentences. She will have conversations with me, but who knows what in the world the little girl is saying. The doc doesnt seem too concerned, but has referred me to some speech peoples to have an evaluation done on her. The doc said not to be too concerned until she reaches 3 yrs of age, and she has made some MAJOR improvement on her speaking skills since her last appointment which was at 26 months.
Hopefully the evaluation will go well and this little girl can start talking soon. But HEY, she is healthy, she is potty trained (for the most part) and life is good. One important word she can say is her new baby sister's name who will be born on April 30th (or sooner hopefully, but I doubt it).

Spa Day
So this past November for Mike and I's 3rd Anniversary, he got me a "mother-to-be" gift package from our local spa here. It includes a Manicure, Pedicure, and a Massage. Well today I finally decided to use it. I waited until now because I didnt want to get a Manicure or a Pedicure in the winter time b/c why get it when I cant even wear sandals to show off my nice toes??...so I waited until now especially with me being about 2 1/2 weeks away from having this baby, so it was a REAL treat to get it done and I am SO glad I waited until now.
The back massage will have to wait b/c when I get it, I want it to be good, and it cant be as good if I have to lay on my side. So the massage is waiting until I can actually lay on the belly and get a GOOD massage. But I just wanted to say THANK YOU once again to my wonderful husband for getting me this package and for watching Addison for the 2 hours I was gone. It was like a mini-vacay! And it was fabulous!! And now I have cute toes and fingers to show off and for the hospital stay.

Children's Museum
So Mike had this past Friday off for his "so called" Spring Break (yeah, they only got ONE day off and considered it spring break...oh well, what do ya do??) Anyways, we decided to take advantage of the day together and head on down to Memphis to the Children's Museum that they have there. I must say, I was quite impressed...Addison seemed to have a good time and they had a lot more than I thought they would. They had a cute supermarket they could shop at, a fire truck and police car the kids could climb into, and lots of other stuff. It is a place that I would seriously consider going back to, even if we have to travel through the G-H-E-T-T-O to get there and risk getting shot at (just kidding, not about the ghetto part, but about the getting shot part)....but it was fun. We enjoyed ourselves quite a bit and were just grateful to have a 3-day weekend together. Here are some pictures from out time at the museum...they arent the best, but what do you do when you are trying to chase a 2 year old around.....
WARNING...there are lots of pictures, but I only do it for our "journal-ing" sake.

This thing was pretty cool...it was a motor thingy that sent the paper plane flying...she enjoyed that part
She was really into the surfing/snowboarding simulator...
hence the serious face...she took this part very seriously

They had this little disco part with a disco ball and music playing, she was having the time of her life dancing...it was hilarious to watch.
She had more fun running around the stage and jumping off of it than actually dancing ON the stage..
They had this Hot Air Balloon and you could push a button, fill the balloon up with the air, and then the balloon would float up to the top of the museum...everytime the balloon when up, this was the reaction we got...haha it was so cute to watch.

HELLLOO April & HELLLOO Spring!!
So today is officially the First Day of April! There is NO fooling around this day in the Turok household. We have been waiting for April FOREVER!! Why you ask?? Well first of all, this April has started out with AMAZING weather. As you can see, Addison and I took full advantage of our 80 degree weather today. We first met a friend of ours at Chik-Fil-A and were probably there for 2 hours just playing outside on their playland. Then when we got home, we got Addie in her swimsuit, turned on the sprinkler and there she had the time of her life. while mom was working on her tan.
Second of all, my birthday is this month...yep, I am turning a quarter of a century old (that is 25 yrs. old for those of you who need to take it easy and not think too much). Yep, its my birthday ALONG with....take a deep breath....
APRIL 5TH: my soon to be brother-in-law, Justin
APRIL 15TH: my brother, Nicholas
APRIL 18TH: MINE of course!! And dont you forget it....
APRIL 19TH: my Mom
and to add one more to the mix,
APRIL 30TH: our sweet baby girl...... who will be born via C-Section on this day.
YEP! Lots of birthdays...but its a good month.
And finally, third of all about April being so good, as I have mentioned above, I will FINALLY be having this baby at the end of the month! Yep, this is going to be a good month. Again, HELLLOO April and HELLLOO Spring!!
