Rain

Today was a very drizzly, over cast day. We went to the store and bought galoshes (I know, a couple seasons late) but then the rain stopped. Hopefully there is more tomorrow for the kiddos!

TIME TO UPDATE!

So I haven't blogged in over two years and + 2 kids later here I am! Here Is a quick briefing on where we are today. Patrick graduated and is working at a library indexing company, but is currently looking for another job that fits his degree better. I am work PRN at the U hospital, but get to be at home most of the time😀. Ganon is now in preschool and loving it! Lincoln wants to be in preschool just like Ganon. Quentin is almost 5 1/2 months old and is sitting all by himself and army crawling. Here are some pictures for you all to see.

Our Trip to San Fransisco!!

Day 1
We left for San Fransisco on Thursday the 27th at about 4:30 pm with our friends Aaron, Shereena and their baby Colter. Jessica and Kevin (our awesome brother and sister) let us borrow their van (thank you so so so much--again) so we could all ride together.

The drive was long. It normally would take about 10-11 hours to get to San Fran, but with some delays we had it took about 15 hours. When we were just out of Winnemuca (?) Ganon threw up- alot! I felt so bad for him and everyone else in the car. It stunk so bad. Patrick had to pull over and we changed his clothes and cleaned the car seat the best we could. Unfortunately, the smell really affected Shereena and she started feeling sick. Luckily with the windows rolled down the smell sort of dissipated and we were on our way again. When we got to Donnor's Pass we were passing a ton of diesels that were pulled over. We were wondering what was going on; then not too far up the road we were stopped because it had snowed the day before and the canyon road was iced over for the next two miles. We were told we had to turn around (about 5 minutes back) to buy chains for the van. We were bummed. We just wanted to get to our destination. So we went back and debated whether or not we should spend the $65.00 on chains or not . Then Shereena over heard someone at the gas station say that the pass would be open in about 45 minutes and that we should just wait it out. So, we drove back to where we were stopped and the lady who spoke to us before told us we could absolutely not pass without chains. Patrick, being the savvy one, said we were from Utah and we were accustomed to driving in this type of condition. The lady didn't give in, so we ended up waiting where everyone else was. About 20 minutes later a guy came around announcing that the pass had re-opened and we were good to go. We were very happy to be on our way again. At Sacramento Shereena took the wheel over so Patrick could get at least an hour of sleep, since he was starting to hallucinate. (Patrick loves to drive, but sometimes I don't think he knows his limits. ;) )Well, 1 hour later we finally made it to San Fransisco! YAY!
Day 2
Since our check in time for the hotel wasn't until 3:00 pm we drove to the beach and ate breakfast, which was cereal at about 7:30 am. It was a beautiful morning! It was so cool to watch the Gulls and Crows flying around at the beach. We saw a couple surfers and tons of joggers. At about 9:00 am our agenda for our first day in the city began. We first went to a beautiful park called The Golden Gate Park. It's about 2 miles long in the middle of the city on a hill full of thick green foliage. At the park there are so many things to do! We only had time to do two of the things. We went to this really cool art museum called the de Young Museum.

These are just a few really neat exhibits. Some pictures are on Patrick's I Phone.
Then after we went to the Japanese Tea Gardens. They were very pretty. It was perfect weather the whole weekend. From what I understand we really lucked out.
We thought this was a pretty cool tree.
After, the tea gardens we headed to China Town. Shereena has a grandma that lives there that they were visiting as well. So, they went ahead and visited her and went to lunch. We ate at a yummy authentic Chinese restaurant and then shopped around China Town. It was so much fun!! (I think those pics are on Patrick's phone. I'll upload them later.)We bought some cool things. I even let Patrick buy a set of Samurai swords. Here in Utah they cost about $200.00, but we bought them their for $25.00. What a steal!! I also bought this pretty plate to display, some souvenirs for our parents, a hand held massage thing and a SF hoodie. China Town was probably one of our favorite parts of San Fran. After that we caught up with Aaron and Shereena and went back to our hotel. Our kids were a little cranky by the end of the day so we did our own thing for dinner. We got pizza from this really good pizza joint called Bellissimo's. It was so delicious! Then took the car seat padding and pukey clothes to the laundromat next door to get washed. Then we hit the hay. We were exhausted and excited to start the next day. Stay tuned for days 3 and 4.

Eclipse

I cannot wait until Eclipse comes out in theatre! So, my due date is June 19th and the movie comes out on the 30th and I am SO going to see it. Call me crazy, I know, but that's ok. The Twilight Saga is my secret (ok, not-so-secret) obsession :).

My wonderful hubby's birthday!

The BIG 26!! We celebrated Patrick's birthday at my parent's house on the 23rd of April. We had a BBQ with my family. It was a lot of fun!
Then we celebrated Patrick's birthday at his parent's house on the 24th. I helped his mom make his favorite food...Saltenas. They are sooo good! And I him a Tres Leches cake...from scratch. It turned out pretty tasty. It was my first time making one and I was pretty happy with it.
He got a lot of nice clothes and fun, manly video games for his birthday. I'd have to say he had a very nice birthday!!

A little bit of everything:

Here are some random pictures to catch up! By the way, I have just realized I haven't posted much of anything about my pregnancy. I have been so pre-occupied with Ganon and life in general I sometimes forget I'm pregnant until I bump into something or have a contraction. I don't know if that makes sense...Anyway, I feel good. We are so excited to meet this little guy. As far as names go we don't have a clue what we are going to name him. Alton is no longer an option because Patrick decided he didn't like it after all. So, it's been a battle agreeing on a name. We have narrowed it down to two options, but I think we are going to have to see the baby in order to see which name fits the best. As far as the actual pregnancy, I feel significantly smaller this go around. I still have 8 more weeks to go so we'll see how big I will actually get. This time I have had way more contractions and pelvic pain than with Ganon. With Ganon, he was more transverse than up and down, so his feet were way over to the side, where with this baby, his feet like to camp out right on my right lower ribs....doesn't feel so good. Sometimes his feet go over my rib and make this clicking feeling-that makes me feel nauseous because nothing is supposed to be clicking in that area. Overall, it's been a good pregnancy! Ok so here are the pics now.
He loves sticking his tongue out!
A day at the park.
I took Ganon to the park this past Monday morning before I had to work and he had so much fun! I went to the twisty slide with him and he loved it! He laughed all the way down! It was cute.
