Misty Morning
I took an early morning bike ride on Sunday. Around 12C. No wind, but it was quite misty. The first photo shows the commuter station in Tungelsta, the second power lines near Blåkulla in Västerhanine.

Cederhusen
The wooden houses, (Cedar), at Vegastaden in Handen. The first occupants moved in back in June. All apartments have a balcony or a terrace. There's also a bigger roof terrace open for everyone. The architect was BAU – Byrån för Arkitektur & Urbanism. The commuter station is a just short walk from the apartment building. All sold out, but expect to pay around 50 000SEK per square meter if you want to get your hands on an apartment here.

Autumn Leaf
This was the photo I was busy shooting when I met Peter in the forest earlier in the week. We talked a bit about photography and Peter said something about how the Autumns back in the 1970s were more colorful and that got me thinking because I was probably too young to remember if that was the case!

Peter
There I was on all fours in a forest in Österhaninge trying to get a macro photo of an Autumn leaf when Peter walked by with his dog. He is an avid photographer, shooting mostly landscapes and portraits with his analog Medium format camera. Peter worked in IT for 35 years. Employed by Siemens. He spent quite a few years in the US working with the early Internet together with people like Steve Jobs. He was heavily involved with the first Telecommuting in Sweden. One of his clients was the Swedish camera maker Hasselblad. Then all of a sudden he collapsed. He couldn't think. Couldn't eat. His brain completely shut down, and with it his whole body. He lost something like 50 kg in weight. Today everyone knows about burnout and work-related stress, but when it happened to Peter no one knew what it was. It took him a decade to get back to some sort of normality but he hasn't worked a day since the burnout. To keep busy he took up gun shooting and was president in the local club for a long time. But these days he only shoots with his camera, just as he did in his youth. Because of all the stress, Peter took the decision to stay away from the online world completely, so he will never read this text, but I did show him the portrait.

Xtreme Crosscart
A final few photos from the Crosscart National Championships at Högstabanan in Haninge. This is a fun sport. You can start racing at the age of six. When you are a little older than that, (16), you can try the Xtreme category. With a 750cc engine, 150 horsepowers in a cart that can weigh up to 450 kilos. And here are a few of those rivers in action. To see all my photos from this event follow this link.

Crosscart at Högstabanan
Some action photos of four female drivers from the Crosscart event at Högstabanan. The first photo shows Linda Johansson. Then comes Matilda Adolfsson. The third photo shows Alexandra Lejtorp in a steep curve. Last but not least we see Felicia Walfridson. I should point out that men and women compete against each other in this sport. It was fun to watch all the action. More to come.

Onlookers
A few photos of the people that just like me decided to check out the 2019 Crosscart National championships at the Högstabanan racecourse over the weekend. Great fun to watch. The youngest competitor was six years old, The oldest quite a few decades older. We were lucky with the weather as this might have been the last Summer day of the year. A few more action photos from this event tomorrow.

Two Local Girls
Local girl Emma Tietjens from C-Pro Racing in her Mini at the Crosscart event at Högstabanan earlier today. I got a free ticket to the National Championships at the Högstabanan race track so I decided to check out the sport. The second photo shows another local girl in action, namely Melanie Lunde from Haninge MK. I came home with around 300 photos and I will probably show you a few more in the coming days. Crosscart is a fairly new sport, it is also sometimes called off-road kart. During the qualifying rounds, every racer gets to compete in three heats before the best go through to the finals that will be held tomorrow.

Feeding the ducks
A new urban runoff is under construction here near the old farm Mellanberg. The rainwater will run through Mellanberg and down to this dam at Dammträsk. There will also be a bike path and a promenade here that will connect Vega, Kvarntorp, and Kolartorp. The woman feeding the ducks from the new pier comes here every now and with her dog.

That Old Tree
My 572th photo of the old tree at Välsta. This really felt like an Autumn day. Windy and around 10C. Also taken for the For the 700th Thursday Walk at Utata.
