Were growing !!!!!!!!!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was very special because Brody got to meet his Grandpa and Grandma Minnesota. They were able to stay with us for the long holiday weekend. They got lots of one on one time with the grand kids and Tim and I (along with Brody) were able to go to a wedding while my parents babysat the rest of the kids. It is always so bittersweet to have them visit and then have to leave. It always takes me one day of having the post-family visit blues and then life goes on as normal.
Brody is growing. We had our two week appointment and he weighed in at 8lb, 11 oz and 20 and 1/4 inches long. So he gained a whole pound in 2 weeks. He still has his gassy moments and I am praying he will grow out of it. He sleeps about 2-3 hours at a time during the night and either I am getting used to the sleep deprivation or I sleep during his feedings, because I do not feel too tired during the day.
Everyone else seems to be adjusting pretty well. Sawyer is our mischievous one and we finally borrowed a gate from our neighbors so that Sawyer could not get upstairs. He loved to go in our shower and try to get our bar soap to play with or eat! The twins love to give Brody kisses, but otherwise leave him alone (which we are okay with).
We hope you are enjoying this holiday season! More pics to come soon.

I used to be so good with blogging and these past months have failed me. I guess you could say chasing after 3 kids and being at the end of my pregnancy has left me little time or remembrance for blogging. Well here is the updates as to now. I am entering my 39th week. 9 more days and counting. I am feeling pretty good, but ready to meet this little one. The kids and I have been getting over a cold and then on Wed. night I woke up with a terrible ear pain that kept me up all night. I took myself in to Urgent care on Thursday morning only to find that I have a whopping ear infection and a small tear in my ear drum. The pain has subsided, but I still do not have full hearing out of my right ear. Great way to end the pregnancy huh!!!!!!! The kids are doing well and Ella keeps asking how long until the new baby comes. Ella and Nathan have been doing great at playing together by themselves. They have quite the imagination and love to make up stories to play. Like building fires downstairs and playing farm with some of Grandpa Beckering's corn. Sawyer is making some big strides too. He knows everything you tell him and will march right up stairs to the bathroom when you tell him it's bath time. He also is in the frustration stage. If things don't go his way, he is mad and throws something. It is the challenge of not knowing what he always wants. We are working at getting him to say a couple words and he does repeat some things. We think he is getting some teeth and yesterday, he had a fever and felt yucky all day. Hopefully more teeth will becoming soon.

We had a nice time in Minnesota in the middle of October. The kids did really well on the 12 hour trip and acclimated to farm life quite quickly. We got to ride lots of combines and tractors and get some close up time with dogs, cats, and cows. The cousins were able to bond again and we got to meet our new cousin Miles....who is pretty precious by the way. Made having a newborn around a little more realistic. Dad and Mom babysat all the grand kids except for Miles and let the adult children go out to eat and catch up. We so appreciated that.

Now we are basically trying to prepare for life with a baby. We are running errands and trying to get things somewhat organized. We covet your prayers in the next weeks for a healthy delivery and a healthy baby.

End of summer pics

Our play set finally set up. The kids are having fun with it.

Nathan got "Cars" jammies from a garage sale and thought he had to wear them the whole next day.

We went to the Zoo with our best neighbors Carrie and Ryan

We love petting the goats!

We love looking at the fish at the Zoo!

Playing with some friends Jasper and Molly. They're our neighbors' grandchildren and we got to spend some fun times with them this summer.

Smiles for Sawyer!

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids here at the end of the summer. We are enjoying a little cooler weather today and I (being 8 months pregnant, really enjoy a little cooler weather). Sawyer is starting to walk more and more. He still looks like a fawn or a baby calf and you can tell it is very methodical, but he is starting to really get the hang of it. Ella and Nathan are going to start gymnastics this week, so I am sure we'll have some pictures of that to post soon. Hope you have a blessed Labor Day!
