Stampbook Saturday-Jessie

Hey everyone, and Happy Saturday!! It is time for this week's Stampbook Saturday post, and I(Jessie) hope I don't disappoint you, lol!!

I am not much of a scrapbooker, but I really do try to step out of my boundaries every once in awhile, and try something new!!

For my page this week, I decided to use this card by our fearless leader, Jessica, as my inspiration. I loved her layout, and since it is There She Goes Again week, I wanted to use one of the TSGA sets!!

I kept the layout, and still used Puppy Love set, but changed the colors and papers. My paper is MME Fine and Dandy Boy paper. I used Hot Fudge, Orange Fizz, and So Saffron paper. My scallops were made with the Jumbo Border from My Favorite Things. I used SU ribbon, and Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel. The Dizzy Doily Die-namics was used to cut out my circle background. My photo is of my ADORABLE nephew, Jared. I hand wrote his name and age...and wish I hadn't, but it is what it is!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

TSG139 Back to Nature

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Senior Trendsetters! They have challenged us to make a card or project with a scene of Back to Nature. Use anything you like as long as it involves a character and nature.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project with a scene that involves a character and nature, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (January 23rd). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG139 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to help you get started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

Stampbook Saturday ~ Sandra

Good morning everyone! It's Sandra here and it's my turn to host this week's Stampbook Saturday. So pull up a chair, grab yourself a cup of something warm to drink and get comfy!

I absolutely love playing with the stamps Torico designs, but I literally drool over her cards! They have such a simple elegance to them and her choice of papers is always spot on! So what better way to pay tribute to my idol than to CASE one of her cards!

I chose this one she made for one of the TSG's challenges late last year. I loved everything from the papers and the stitching to the simple die cut in the center.

So for my Stampbook page, I grabbed some fun scraps of designer paper, a paper punch and decorative scissors, a Spellbinders die, some baker's twine, a couple of buttons and a few stamp sets from TSG...and this photo of my little girl and her daddy playing in the snow!

I used kraft cardstock for the base and machine stitched the patterned papers to some brown cardstock. Then I cut the photo using a Spellbinders nestie and matted it to some more brown cardstock. The gloves are from the Warmest Wishes set and were stamped, then cut out with the coordinating die (that comes with the set!) and colored with Distress Ink reinkers. I stamped a few snowflakes from the Holly Jolly set onto the patterned papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sentiment is from the Little Moments set and was stamped using some brown ink. The little heart is from the Warmest Wishes set.

The page is an 8"x8", which I'm really loving right now! It's not too big and not to small!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Dollar Find Friday

Hi everyone, it's Jackie again, here to share my Dollar Find Project. It may seem like Valentine's Day is still far off but not when you want to create cards or specially packaged treats. I found these white favor boxes at the Dollar Store and thought they would work well as Valentine's Day treat boxes. The Lovebots stamp set by Torico is perfect for anything you might want to make for someone you LOVE!

I colored in the robot with my metallic Gelly Roll markers and then colored the hearts with Copics. I attached the sentiment to the box with some red embroidery floss. Filling the box with Hershey Kisses wrapped in pink, red, and silver added some texture and shine. Simple and easy to reproduce so that making multiple treat boxes can be made up quickly.

Thanks for joining me this week! Have a fantastic weekend!!!
