A romantic weekend in the countryside ......

At Bedford Post, an elegant and charming inn painstakingly restored in 2007 by actor Richard Gere, his wife Carey Lowell and their partner Russell Hernandez. Bedford Post, a fourteen-acre retreat located just under an hour drive of New York City in the hamlet of Bedford, is home to an eight-room luxury inn, two restaurants and a yoga studio.
The original structure that now houses Bedford Post dates to before the Revolutionary War. Built in the early 1760s in Dutch Colonial style, Bedford Post is one of only three original structures from the 18th century that remains in Bedford today.
Decorated in a palette of soothing neutral tones by Carey Lowell and designer Tiffany Vassilakis, the rooms on the upper level are framed by hand-hewn reclaimed wood beams original to the property and reminiscent of a romantic country cottage and the white oak wood floors are burnished to a warm glow.
Bedford Post was recently named as a new member of Relais and Chateaux luxury hotel group, and Richard Gere as the new 2011 Relais and Chateaux ambassador, succeeding the French actress and wine grower Carole Bouquet in 2010.
" It was important to us that Bedford Post embrace its Colonial roots. Accordingly, we used reclaimed wood and stone from the property whenever possible. We also wanted to ensure that the entire property was designed to be eco-friendly  and that our menu at both restaurants reflects seasonal, local ingredients as much as possible in order to support the community," stated Gere.

La Belle Kate !

At 36, Kate Moss looks back in the last 18 years of her modeling career and chooses the snapshots she likes most and puts them on the market. Featuring at the New York gallery Danziger Projects, the model publishes a limited edition of 30 portfolios of photographs by 11 of the world's leading photographers, among them Annie Leibovitz, Mario Sorrenti, Chuck Close,  Mario Testino and more... Asked by the New York Times on her favorite picture, Moss chose the black and white image taken by her then-boyfriend Mario Sorrenti in 1993. "Even though I wasn't that naïve at the time, I really look it. I was in a relationship with him at the time and it was a very intense period of my life - it was my growing-up stage. I think I was 18 or something. I'd left London and went to New York and everything started to happen."
Each portfolio will be on the market for $75, 000, figure expected to go up as the series sells out.

Life at the Mark

Chic and trendy, it's how I will describe the Mark. A grand hotel requires a grand vision. This is the case for the Mark that turned to renowned French decorator and designer Jacques Grange to re-imagine the place. Grange, whose clients have included an A-list of style-setters, among them Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent and Princess Caroline de Monaco, oversaw and designed furnishings. Objects d'art, furniture and lighting fixtures, specially created by renowned artists and artisans, are displayed through out the hotel.
The 1927 landmark building is located in a posh neighborhood of Manhattan NY, a few steps away from the Metropolitan museum and Guggenheim.

Ad Campaigns

Recently some ad campaigns got my attention for being very original, and I would like to share a few.
The first one is quite unique and made to promote the Zoo in Copenhagen, the" Wildest Place in Town".

The Zoobus

The second one is for Target. The corporation has debuted an ad campaign in the New York City subway, wrapping an entire train in its red-and-white bullseye motif. Pretty cool !

The third one is for the World Wildlife Fund, a campaign through pictures of animals with painted tags,  to stress the importance of respecting the planet. What will it take before we respect the planet ?

The fourth one is for Sherwin-Williams. The paint stores created a campaign that's brand-focused storytelling through art, a colorful ad made of paint chips.

The fifth one is a global campaign that New York City has launched to persuade people to visit the city.

The last one is Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2010-11 ad campaign. Featuring three models, the campaign was shot in a NY studio by Steven Meisel, and made to look like a Hollywood star's old-fashioned dressing room.
To conclude this topic, here is a beautiful video shot in Madrid, to promote skateboard.
