As you may know, Alex is a huge animal lover and very comfortable around animals, having been to a couple of different farms previously. But it took even me by surprise how game-on he was on the day, having a go at everything, from milking a cow, bottle feeding a little lamb to riding a pony!
I love that this party was not about the kids stuffing their faces with cakes and lollies (though they did make an appearance at the end), rather, it was more about having fun whilst interacting with and learning about farm animals. It was certainly one of the best parties we've been to to date.
Not pictured: The cow doing a giant poo shortly after Alexander milked it.
What did you do on the weekend?

A lovely birthday party in the farm.
For me, nothing much done over the weekend. Kids are not well so we stay mostly indoor. Thankfully it is school holiday over here so everyone could sleep in.
Sounds like an incredibly fun party! Alexander looks like he's having a blast with that bunny :)
How cute do the two look together! Looks like a fun day out; I would have enjoyed it too!
Looks so fun! Alexander looks so happy.
Super cute pics. Your son looks super happy :D

Oh, I'd forgotten all about Golden Ridge - I went to parties there as a kid (and grew up not to far away). My sisters and I all have photos almost identical to that one of Alexander with the bunny on the astroturf. I'm def filing this away under weekend adventure ideas.
@Imogen Would make an awesome weekend outing for sure!
I love hands-on experiences like these where kids got to learn & have fun at the same time. Awesome photography, dear! xoxo
This looks so cute! I love all of the animals, and it looks like such a fun way to get some fresh air!

What a fun party! The pictures are adorable, and it looks like he had a great time :)
This would have been an epic party and I feel like kids would have so much more fun being out in nature with animals than sitting watching a movie

What a fun day for little A :) It's not everyday that you can learn how to milk a cow!
