Since Halloween we have been busy with holiday fun. We had a visit from Auntie K and Gramma Donna and Grampa Frank. We had fun at the zoo and had a mini thanksgiving before they left. Our friends Brandon and Amy came from Seattle with their youngest Ella. Thanksgiving was busy. First a lunch at Aunt Lala's, then the Sones house, then dinner with the Rice side. Lots of food, fun, and family. David is in school again in the cardiovascular sonography program. He is busy and studying hard. Ld is now 6mo old. He weighed in at 19lb and 30 in. He is my gentle giant. He is such a cuddler. He is scooting around and sitting on his own. Started stage 2 foods. Grayson is loving the Christmas season. He loves to decorate the tree over and over and loves looking at lights. He walks around saying ho ho ho merry Christmas. Here are some pictures. Will post more when I get the prof ones in. Hope everyone is well.

David Lee Rice Jr is here!

We welcomed LD on 5/30/09 at 433am. His grams, uncle ray, aunt cc and uncle kick were all troopers and lasted until they were able to meet him. He weighed in at 7lb 15oz and 21.5in long. He is a lb less than g was but .5in longer. He is our long skinny baby. long arms and legs, big hands and feet. He looks alot like G did when he was born and looks alot like his daddy. We have had home healthcare the last couple of days to help clear up some jaundice but he has been cleared from that and is doing great. he is eating and sleeping fine and starting to have some good awake time. G is torn between loving having a baby around but hating that it takes his attention. He has been very helpful and loving wanting to give hugs and kisses and help as much as he can. We are very happy and blessed with our new addition and can't wait to see what the future holds.

37 weeks down and still no end in sight

The past few weeks have been interesting to say the least. Our little guy is quite content to stay in as long as possible and since he is just on the big size of average our dr isn't worried about inducing early. As of last week I was 2cm but still holding strong. We have however spent lots of time in the l&d thanks to Tracy who has been having contractions non stop with Elliott. She is home now on bedrest and with a terb pump in her leg...fun stuff. We have her shower this weekend and luckily she can go. I turn 38 wks tom. I've decided that Baby D wants to steal my birthday. Grayson is busy as usual. Talking like crazy putting 3 and 4 words together. Learning as much as he can. He has been sleeping in his own room and in a big boy bed for a few weeks now and is doing great. That's about all from here I think. I'll put up a few of G;s 18mo pics and our maternity pics. Hopefully the next update with have Baby D pics.

Settling In

Well, we are finally in our apt. Our moving truck took a little longer to get here than expected but we are all unpacked and settled now. The boys room still needs work and we have some finishing touches to do but we are at least living in our apt. Grayson is enjoying being around all his family and friends and is very excited that Grams made the move with him but misses Gramps. We had 2 Easter celebrations last weekend and Grayson loved hanging out with his cousins and hunting eggs. I met my new baby dr and registered at Baylor hospital. I am going every 2 wks. We will do a sonogram this friday to measure the baby size since G was so big. That's about all going on around here right now. Here are some new pictures. More later.

Grayson and Baby David

Grayson passed his 18mo check up. He is 29lbs (85%) and 35in (off the charts) and his speech is a little advanced for his age. He repeats everything and is starting to try and put two and three words together. He can answer basic questions and ask for what he wants. He is really into trains and planes right now and loves being outside. Baby David, aka Parker, for now, is growing just fine. I am 29 weeks pregnant. We tried twice to do 3d/4d ultrasound but he would not budge. He is bent in half with his feet over his head and his arms wrapped around his legs. They had me do everything and he didn't flinch. Some say stubborn but I prefer shy. This is my last week of work. Still have packing to do though. David starts his externship in TX tomorrow. That's all for us now. Here are a few pics of the boys.

Newbie

Our babysite membership is ending so rather than renewing it I'm jumping on the blog bandwagon. Seems easier this way. So as of right now David is already in Tx getting things ready for our big move. Grayson and I will be joining him next week. Baby is doing good. Stubborn little guy wont let us take pictures of his face. Grayson has his 18mo check up today so I'll update more after that and add some pictures.
