Hudson's Baby Blessing

We had Hudson blessed in September and had lots of family around to celebrate with us.
Sometimes we feel sorry for Hudson because he's the third child and probably doesn't get the attention the other two kids got.  But he also has two siblings who anxiously anticipated his arrival and who love to watch his every move.  He was born with four people who loved him immediately.
Just more love to go around.
It was a beautiful happy day!

We love to have Dad and Kim visit!

Newborn Hudson

We spent the last part of the summer enjoying our new little baby.

He mostly slept and looked cute.  He didn't like the binky but wanted to nurse all the time.

Hanging out with Dad.

Our first night out without the baby was a to a Cardinals preseason game against the Denver Broncos.  I had never been to an NFL game, and never been to a game at the new Cardinals stadium.  It was a lot of fun with our friends Warner and Serena.  Go Tebow!

The Scare

The day before school let out June 18th, I was admitted to the hospital.  I noticed some slight leaking and put it off for a day or so and then started having some painful contractions.  I finally decided to go in to my doctor.  I was crying I was in so much pain. My doctor did a test to see if my water broke and it came back barely positive.  I really wasn't sure myself because it wasn't a lot of leaking: I honestly thought maybe I peed a little.  He then said to prepare ourselves as if your water breaks they usually deliver the baby within 48 hours.  I was then admitted to the hospital and put on magnesium to stop the contractions. I didn't have any more leaking and my contractions stopped so they sent me home a few days later on strict bedrest.  I was so grateful to be going home and not delivering my baby boy.  I was only 29 weeks along and not ready for him to meet the world.  Bed rest was long and boring.   The whole summer was staying on the couch or the bed hoping my water would stay intact.  I had lots of help from family and friends, ward members.  The hard part was I felt fine and wanted to just get up and clean my house and pick up my kids but I couldn't.  By 35 weeks and no other symptoms I was let off strict bedrest and put on a modified bed rest, pretty much told to take it easy.  Only 5% of women have their bag of waters reseal once there is a tear. I feel like our prayers were answered when my sweet baby boy was born at 39 weeks.  It made the whole experience worth the sacrifice.

Summer Fun

The kids love fishing with Dad.  Madi is a natural, she loves it.
Chase is good for about 15 minutes and then wants to play at the park.

The fish whisperer.
Trevor got a bike and trailer for his birthday.  The kids love riding with Dad.

Easter 2011

The kids loved hunting for eggs this year.

This was right before they started the Easter Egg Hunt at Surprise Stadium which is an awesome event they put on. I was so excited to go and then my kids decided they didn't like the Easter Bunny and started to cry. Really kids? They finally decided to be happy and grab some free candy but avoided the guy in the bunny costume. I guess next year we will skip the crowds.
Here are Chase's cousins and buddies Cooper and Chase and one of his favorite uncles Seth.

Take me out to the ball game

We love our spring training here in AZ and we had to get a few games in.  We went on a Monday when Trevor was off and hardly anyone was in the outfield.  The kids ran around and rolled down the hill.  It was great.

 I wonder what he's doing?
Bubba was exhausted by the time we got in the car he was out.
