Time goes by fast when you're having fun

How can time go by so quickly?!?!  It seems like we were just bringing baby 2 home from the hospital, yet today he is 9 months old!  Time goes by so fast when you are having fun!

Caleb Alan has brought so happiness to our family.  He is a HORRIBLE mommas boy.  If I leave his sight he screams and cries like crazy. (It used to be sweet, but now it is just hard!)  He loves to be held, but is getting better about being on the floor.  He loves Kelson almost as much as he loves his momma.  He follows Kelson everywhere.  And Kelson loves the attention that he gets all the time.  They play good together MOST of the time.  Kelson still doesn't like when Caleb touches him or HIS toys, but they survive!  Caleb is learning so much all the time.  He claps his hands almost every time me or Kelson says "yay" and he is learning to follow me when I say "Come here."  He LOVES food.  If I eat then he opens his mouth for a bit.  He will eat almost any baby food and loves lots of the table foods that he has tried.  He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth.  He still crawls with 1 leg up and the other leg kinda dragging, but he is getting fast.  At his appt last week he was 27.5 inches and 19 lbs 3 oz.  He is starting to sleep through the night more frequently and almost always wakes up happy in the morning.
Even though being a mom isn't the easiest thing... I wouldn't give up any part of being a mom!
Happy 9 Months Caleb bug!

Mr. Independent

This morning I woke up to noises in the kitchen..  I thought well Kelson is awake and he found the fruit snacks on the counter... sure enough.  He came into my room and handed me a package of fruit snacks wanting them open.  So, I open the fruit snacks and say "what have you been doing?"  He said, "I turned on the light."  Wow good job.  Then he said "I got in fridge, ate my yogurt."  I remembered that the yogurt is not kept on a bottom shelf of the fridge.  So, I asked him, "did you eat Caleb's yogurt bites from the diaper bag?"  He said "NO, I ate yogurt in fridge."  I kinda brushed it off and thought nothing of it, until I came into the kitchen and found an empty yogurt container with a baby spoon in it.  He sure did find himself a yogut, open it, and eat it all by himself (quiet enough that i didn't even wake up).  When did he get so big and start doing so much for himself!!!

He is also quite the copycat...
Yesterday Trevor was hanging a picture for me, and Kelson kept saying "what's dad doin?"  Well, Kelson ask dad what he is doing.  So, he would say "Dad, what ya doin?"  Well, Trevor said "I'm workin for mom."  So then all afternoon whenever Trevor would do anything (bring in wood, sweep up the ashes, help with dinner) Kelson would say "dad working for mom"  Haha it was pretty funny.
I guess he has seen Trevor or some of his uncles working on trucks or things too often...

"Four wheeler Broke, got fix it"  "Where's my hammer?"

He is also learning... YAY
We have really been working on the ABC's and he doesn't seem to get it..  Well, apparently he remembers letters we don't work on very often.  Last night when we went into Cedar he was saying "There's a  W mom" "There's a W!"  I couldn't tell what he was saying, until I realized he was pointing at the McDondalds sign.  haha.  That is an upside down W... that's an M.

He is a pretty entertaining little guy and he definitely keeps me laughing.  He is so fun.  LOVE YOU KELSON!

A weekend full of family

We had a weekend filled with fun!  Kelson loves having his cousins around to play with and they were here all weekend!  On Friday night we had a birthday party for Aliza at my moms.  The kids loved spending time together.
On Sunday, Ivica blessed Rylee, so we all went to church together and had a yummy dinner afterwords.  Rylee looked so beautiful in her blessing dress and Ivica did a good job.

A weekend filled with family is always a fun weekend!

Journaling/ catching up

ALL ABOUT THE BOYS
Caleb finally started crawling about the middle to end of February.  He is much happier now that he is mobile.  He is much harder being mobile because he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!  I have taken multiple things out and found that he has eaten a few things (dirt clumps mostly).  He is eating a lot more solids now and he LOVES solids.  He will eat just about anything.
Last week he was had a pretty high fever so I took him to the doc and he had an ear infection and a horrible sore throat.  So, he was on Amoxicillin, until his body became covered in a rash.  He is allergic to penicillins (just like his dad and great grandpa).  So, while he was horribly sick he was uncomfortable with a rash and severe bum rash. We switched his antibiotic and he seems to be doing much better.

Kelson is just loving life- playing and watching movies.  He is becoming a pretty good helper.  He likes to get Caleb a diaper and he will help put away laundry.  He is also becoming very independent and more naughty all the time.  He doesn't like help brushing his teeth anymore- which results in him eating toothpaste and brushing his lips mostly haha.  He likes to undress himself before his bath.  He has figured out how to put a DVD in the player, but he hasn't found the play button yet.  He tells me "no" a lot and has really started throwing fits...  I say "Let's go clean up the toys," and he will throw himself on the floor and say something like... "I want my milk" or "I need play with them" or even sometimes he'll just say "NO, i don't care."  He is a challenge and he tests my patience daily, but I love him nonetheless.

We lost our camera, so I finally just bought a new one and I'm really excited about it. So, here are a few pictures- just cause they are so darn cute!

New Calling
Since we moved into the 5th ward we were lucky to not have callings for a little while...  Well, I got a calling as Relief Society teacher.  I missed teaching my first 2 times because of a funeral and being horribly sick.  So, in January I got to teach for the first time.  I was so nervous, but I actually LOVE this calling.  I have to study more- which is good- and I learn so so much.  Many people in the ward make comments and really contribute to the lesson.  I am so happy in my calling, (although right before I start my lesson I am pretty nervous and wishing it was over) :)

Where's dad? At Work
Gardner drilling has been surprisingly busy this winter- good, but bad.  Good because winter usually slows down and every company needs business to keep making money and stay open.  Bad because the job Trevor has been working on takes him out of town- A LOT!  He has been working out of town doing 10 days on (working) and 4 days off.  Which means we don't see him for the 10 days he is working.  It has been hard on Kelson especially.  He asks so often and then answers his own question "where's dad?- at work.

Welcome to the World Rylee

On January 23, 2012 Andrea finally had her baby after a way too long labor!  Welcome to the world sweet little Rylee.  She is so cute and getting bigger and cuter every day.  So excited that we live close so I can watch her grow!
