Now in my 30's

The first day of the month Butch & Delynn came home from their mission for good! Lucas took Myla to their house with all the cousins and family to see them. She was so happy to see her house mates home. Jay turned one month old on the 3rd and it was a really slow month. Myla is still struggling with the adjustment and hope she gets back to her normal self soon. Butch and Delynn came over to meet Jay and it was great to see them again and they were excited to see Jay and snuggle up on him. Myla was very excited to show them her bedroom and big girl bed and tell them that Grandma can sleep with her but Honey has to sleep on top. Myla is still boycotting naps so I have been trying to do quiet time but I just lock her in her room and she cries for a bit then eventually plays by herself. One day she drew all over her door with crayons and I heard it going on but I didn’t want to ruin her alone time so I just let it happen and hoped it would come off with magic eraser and luckily it did....

Now a Family of 4

I t’s been (1) week with Jay in our home and what a rollercoaster of emotions. We came home Monday afternoon and I told   my mom we were heading home and she could bring Myla over. She FaceTimed back shortly after and she was almost in tears because Myla had been throwing a tantrum for the last 10 minutes and was hysterical and she couldn’t get her to calm down and agree to get in the car. After I saw that I started crying myself because I was so sad to see her so distraught and knew it was going to be hard for her and me. I couldn’t even look at the phone and have it to Lucas and told him to go get her. My mom was trying to convince us that she could get her to come but I didn’t think she could. So Lucas said he was going to head to Boca to pick up our dinner and if Myla still hadn’t calmed down he would stop and get her. Luckily my mom was able to get her in the car and they both headed home. I put Jay in the rock n play so I could hug and give Myla attention when she showed up. ...

Jay Birth Story

At my 38 week appointment my blood pressure was still elevated so my doctor said he wanted to do blood work to see if preeclampsia was going to show up now and if it did he wanted to induce me in the next day or 2 and if it didn’t he still wanted to induce me the following Monday at 39 weeks. I was so in shock I didn’t have many questions for him and was excited that i for sure had an end date and we would have a baby by next week. But I was also terrified of being induced. I was still on the fence about doing it unmedicated and knew that getting induced would make it a longer drawn out process and my chances of getting an epidural earlier would increase. So the next few days I started my raspberry leaf tea drink and dates but didn’t want to be too active yet with walking because I wanted to make sure I could make my hair appointment the next day and nails the day after that. The blood work came back the next day and it said I didn’t have preeclampsia so that was a relief knowing I had...

December-End of a CRAZY Year!

Tuesday I went to take pictures for DMT and did some house item shopping. Myla has been really cute with my belly and talking to Baby Brother lately. She tells him that he is going to sleep in her crib, and she likes to kiss my belly and rub it, and call him Olaf. The rest of the week was chill and we had Brady over all day on Saturday so the Packards could paint and move. Then we also met up with Johnathon and Megynn Webb for dinner at the park and it was so fun to catch up with them! Sunday we had the Kolstads over for dinner and then Trennon and Cari Anne stopped by with some Hot Chocolate and cookies. It will be fun to be close to them now. Sunday we went to Highland ward one last time to say goodbye to our primary kids but not a single one of them were there. We were so sad about that. Monday I had my OB appointment and my blood pressure was a little elevated so they had me do more blood work to send it in again to test for preeclampsia crossing fingers it comes back okay.  We...

Started the month out with the best news ever!! Lucas passed his physical therapy license EXAM!!! I was at the gym and he called me to tell me and I was sooo surprised and excited that he is officially done with studying and worrying about passing it. It feels like a huge burden is lifted off of both of us and we can finally relax and know that he will be able to continue working and get any job he wants now! Even though he likes the VA and doesn’t plan to leave there any time soon. He got home from work and called & texted all the family members and everyone was so excited for him. Then we went to get Andy’s custard to celebrate. I am so so proud of him and we both know Heavenly Father helped him a lot along the way!  Next day Kelli had Myla and Olive over and I went to look at hardware for our kitchen cabinets and fans then brought lunch back for us adults to eat. That night we watched the Election coverage for the next president of this country. Biden was in the lead before ...

October Beginning of Holidays

First day of the month and we had the Bodine ladies over for sister lunch which was really refreshing since we had been home all week not feeling good. It was a good time like always, I’m glad to have them as my sister in laws! Friday we did pickleball with the Skousen’s, Packard’s, and Standage’s for date night and it was super fun to be active and have a group date night! Saturday I had a Romanian Pentecostal wedding that was from 8:30am-7:30pm. It was looong but fairly easy since there is a lot of driving to different locations. It was also conference so I listened to a little bit during the drives. Sunday we started potty training... again. We woke up and “threw” the diapers away and made Myla say goodbye to them and she gladly did. Then we put on underwear and told her to tell us every time she has to go. She had about 7 accidents that day which is normal cause I was pumping her with water & juice all day to make her pee more. It was really nice to have Lucas here on day 1 bec...

First day of the month I had Eva and Olive over and I gave Kasey the envelope with the gender in it so she could fill the balloon up with the correct color. While the girls were playing I made enchilada’s for Eryn to send home with Eva for the night. That afternoon the Kleins came over for Swedish meatballs and to Swim. Then I went to Bunco that night. Wednesday I watch the Hogle boys in the morning and Myla had fun with Henry and Monty and then that night we had the Gender Reveal Party!!  Ahh I was so anxious, but we had dinner with just my family first and then the rest of the Bodine’s came over and they wrote down their guesses and we started throwing darts and the balloons and they were all filled with White paint because I didn’t want the first balloon to be popped to have the color in it and the fun be over. But no one knew that except Lucas, Me, Kasey and Bromley (he was filming) so one by one the kids and adults were throwing the darts missing more than hitting them. But ev...
