A Tribute to Marriott...

Here are some fun work pictures that were taken on my last day before maternity leave. It's so weird not getting up and going to work everyday. I would be lying if I said that I miss coming to work, but I do miss all of my friends! I hope that you are all surviving without me! I'll see you in July!

It's Official!

I have officially been inducted into the momma club. I was puked on, pooped on, and peed on all in one day. Motherhood is a wonderful thing, isn't it!

Sweetest Little One!

Katie, thanks for adding our last post! I have been anxious to post, but haven't had a chance until now. We are doing well adjusting to our new life as parents. Thank you to everyone for your love and support. We have had an outpouring of kindness and service, and we are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends!


Addison is such a great baby! We are so lucky to have her in our lives. I guess all of my praying worked because we have been blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby who loves to sleep. On Sunday night she slept for 6 straight hours. She's now down to about 3-4 hours at a time, but we'll take it!



Being a momma is the greatest! I never guessed that it could be so wonderful and that you could have so much love for someone you just met. Travis has been so cute with Addison. He was bummed when we found out we were going to have a little girl, but you would never guess that with the way that he interacts with Addison. She is definitely 'Daddy's Little Girl!' We love her!

Meet baby Addison Mae Gines

Addison Mae Gines was born on April 4, 2008 at 3:01 p.m.. She weighes 7 pounds 5 ounces. She was 20 inches long! Travis and Natalie are very happy to have her finally here! (by the way this is Katie, Travis' sister, while Nat is in the hospital I told her I would update her blog!) Natalie was a huge trooper today! I don't think that I have ever seen Travis happier than he was today! I am so excited for them and know that they will make great parents! I just don't know how Addison turned out so cute! She must get all of her looks from Natalie!

One Day, And Counting!

In less than 24 hours, I will be in labor with our sweet Addison! Tomorrow morning, Trav and I have to be at the hospital at 6:45 AM for the big induction. It's hard to believe that the day has finally come. It has crept up on me so quickly, I hardly feel ready. I really don't know how to prepare for such a life changing experience, especially because I have no idea what to expect!

I am so anxious to hold Addison in my arms and see her sweet face! I think that alone with help me through the rest of this crazy whirlwind, but it's all still so hard to take in. I keep thinking about the life that Travis and I have had together for almost 5 years, and how good it has been, but that it will never, ever be the same again. In a way, I am sad to say goodbye to the good times, but I know that we will have so many better times in store for us! Hooray for parenthood!
