I just got this knot in my stomach; one of those that makes you feel like curling up into a ball in bed and think about life and reminsce to yourself about times that have passed.
This semester has been going by unbelievably quickly. I was reading Paula's blog and Tze's blog and then I checked facebook and got a message from px and I just felt this gigantic wave of nostalgia. I was thinking about SYF'05, RG days, RJ days, all the wonderful and stupid, yet wonderful things that we did, even our arguments when we had them, and they all formed this really wonderful collage in my mind. These are the events that have shaped me, the person I've become. It's like about a million images flashing through my mind and then that knot developed.
Kh and shu saw some pictures of me when I was back in JC. Apparently I look very different, much older. I think I grew up a lot in the past 2 years or so. I have seen more things, maybe even become a bit more cynical. Kh asked me whether uni had been that cruel to me, and I really don't think so. It's just that circumstances around me changed, demands are different, and I'm trying to adapt to them. I suppose sociology and behaviour are interesting - makes me think about why I do things when I do them and not just take it for granted.
I miss home, I miss the people back home. I miss the mafia, the batch, paulee, my home, church..
I went for the snow patrol concert on the 17th! I thought the opening acts were ok.. nothing spectacular, but the main act was absolutely fantastic. The lead singer's voice is so so good! I just melted throughout the concert. It wasn't one of those crazy concerts with moshing and jumping. It was one where you could just sit back and really enjoy the music. They played all the really nice songs from Eyes Open and they also played final straw and run, which is absolutely beautiful. I love snow patrol! I'm listening to them now and I'm feeling really happy. :) Kind of like content to just sit here and think about home.
Med ball is tomorrow, so I'm hoping nothing catastrophic happens to my face in the next 48 hours. Have a site visit today! Hope it goes well! need to go and get ready :) God bless~

Gosh I haven't been here in a while. School has been unbelievably exhausting. I still haven't really recovered after the mid-sem exam. I just checked my results, but enough about that. I haven't done any revision or studying since week 7. Week 9 just ended, which means I've got a ridiculous amount of catching up to do over the mid-sem break. I can't wait for the mid-sem break! I think part of the reason I haven't done any work is because of the crazy assignment on evaluation of popular information. It's the most gay one I've ever come across. I have to read a newspaper article and then do a crazy amount of research to see whether the information provided in the article is consistent with other sources, research legal problems, think about ethical problems, whether the people who were quoted in the article are in the position to comment about this compound etc.
Disgusting.
That being said, I must admit that it is useful in the sense that it makes you read more and that skills are acquired in the process. I just wish it wasn't so darn irritating to complete it. pfft.
Med ball is coming up! and so is the snow patrol concert!
On a completely different note, something rather stupid happened to me today: during lecture I dropped a pen on the floor. When I bent down to pick it up, my pencil case that was on my lap dropped on the floor as well. Since it was open, everything in it scattered all over the place. -.- ah well.
I'm so tired! I really hate the friday timetable. 8-4 with only one break in between. >.< nasty. I'm so glad today is over. ugh I think I'm going to go sleep for a while. I think I only had about 5 hours of sleep last night and I'm completely exhausted. I was rather lost for half of Gerry's lecture.. it's like a marathon session each time he lectures.
Speaking of marathons, I want to run the standard chartered marathon at the end of the year. eugene said there was a 5km route, so he, perryn, zx, kw and I were all geared up to register for that one. And when I went to check last night, the shortest route is the 10km one. there's NO way I can run 10km. 5km is still manageable, but 10km requires training! dammit. I think I still want to run though. I'll train during the holidays. 3 rounds around school is about 8.5km I think.. or slightly less. crap so to do 10km i'll have to run 4 rounds! It'll take me at least an hour I think. gah. I'll think about it. but first, SLEEP!

I went to clayton today and had a very filling dinner of charcoal chicken, which was really good and I just ate some yogurt, so now I'm really happy! I'm going to bathe, then read The Time Traveller's Wife then go and watch the Italy vs. New Zealand rugby world cup match! woohoo. Rugby world cup is here again! I remember I watched it back in sec 4 and it was fantastic! Johnny Wilkinson with all his awesome penalty shots.. -beams- but I'll do some of the stewpid assignment first.. grrr.
I spent $70 on groceries today! which is rather ridiculous, but then my fridge was empty! bah this is a retarded entry. I think I'm going to do as planned and in addition to that, make myself a nice BIG cup of milo :) i love milo!
I'm going to gear myself up for tomorrow! hah.

I think being in post-exam mood over the weekend was slightly detrimental, because I am now behind in my work. My week 7 stuff is dead! sigh. One would think that they would be kind to us after an exam, but unforunately, no. :( I have an assignment due in 17 days, which I haven't started yet, anatomy is killing me. There are 10 million muscles in the hand, I'm convinced. I just finished the tasks for the elbow region and forearm and I'm totally exhausted already. I've been awake for almost 2 hours and all I've been doing is anatomy. I have half a mind to crawl back into bed and sleep for another 5 hours, but I still have to do physiology AND catch up on week 7 stuff. -grumbles-
On Saturday, xf, shu, kw and I went down to the city for a day of shopping! We went for lunch at this really nice place called dessert house along swanston street. I had beef fried rice, which was gigantic! I could only finish half of it, but it was so tasty! We also had a chocolate banana crepe for dessert. After that we went to melbourne central to shop for a while. We then proceeded to Southern Cross to go to DFO, which is my favourite place for shopping now. I didn't buy much though! I did manage to get a pair of nine west shoes for $19, so I thought that that was a really good buy. At the end of the day, I was feeling highly unsatisfied though, because I couldn't find what I wanted. Shu was also very unsatisfied, so we're going back down to the city this saturday again. haha. After DFO, we headed to St. Kilda and ended up at Acland street, where we had dinner at this restaurant called Vibe. :) I got a risotto and a toblerone, which was delicious! After dinner, we were all so full, so we walked around a bit, and saw the lovely bakeries along Acland Street. I was quite sad because all the cakes in the window looked so good and I was so tempted to buy some. :) ah well I can always go back again. I'll be here for 5 years anyway haha :)

shu and me

one of the stupid poses we did. the restaurant had all these wine botteles on the table that were filled with water.
ugh I'm so sleepy. Thank God I have no school today. I went for epi tute yesterday and I'll go for group A's prac next week. muahaha. :) alrighty back to work! :) God bless~
