I am sleepy and today I was pretty grouchy. I think it was the heat. Going back to RJ was a very pleasant experience. It felt good to be in school again. It was rather upsetting that I couldn't get a classroom, but I managed to get an isolated bench away from everyone. (being antisocial me) and stayed there from 1145 to 1715. There were some periods of daydreaming, but I feel mildly accomplished. I just want to finish what was tested in the mid-sem exam, then really focus on anat and week 6-13 stuff.
Gosh that's really a lot of stuff :( ok.
PERSERVERE!

The past weekend was absolutely amazing! I'm glad I came home and could go for it. I really am so proud of the confirmands and I pray that that zeal will continue even after Confirmation.
At first, I was very apprehensive when aunty C asked me to be a facilitator at the camp. For me, my faith journey just started last year. Before that, I think my spiritual life was rather dead; I was just a Sunday Catholic. But after YISS last year, I think that that was probably the turning point in my relationship with God, and I am so thankful for it. My life feels more whole now. I am not saying that I am now spiritually mature to lead people, but what aunty C told me was true: You are still journeying and this would be good for you as well and that maybe this was some unforseen reason for you to come back to Singapore - part a greater plan that only God would know about.
I think I grew during the weekend. It felt good to be serving, to make new friends, strengthen older friendships. It was fantastic and I am truly thankful. :) I am just sad that I would not be able to attend their Confirmation, because I'll still be in Melbourne, probably having EOY exam. *sigh* one of the drawbacks of studying overseas I guess.
I'm going to study at Starbucks at ttsh today. Hopefully it will be productive! Then i'm meeting px for dinner. :D
I wonder where God is leading me..

Why does swelling/inflammation occur?
At a site of injury, the injured cells release chemokines. The presence of chemokines cause vessel changes. The blood vessels dilate and the membranes of the vessels become more leaky. This causes an outflow of water and proteins. The cheomkines cause neutrophils to marginate (ie move to the sides of the vessels) and hence out of the vessels through the leaky membrane into the surrounding tissues and migrate to the site of injury. As a result, the skin becomes red, swollen and hot.
Hence my face is now red, swollen and hot.
It is not a pleasant feeling.
On a bright note, I popped by hc's house for a mini karaoke session. Thanks to eugene who drove me down. But I only could sing one song then I had to leave. It was really nice seeing everyone again. Well, not everyone, but seeing a few of them was nice. :)
I have become very obsessed with this song that shu recommended to me: Patience by Take That
Just have a little patience.
Still hurting from a love I lost.
I'm feeling your frustration.
Hang on a minute, maybe all the pain will stop*
Just hold me close inside your arms tonight
Don't be too hard on my emotions
*Cuz I need time
My heart is numb, has no feeling
So while I'm still healing,
Just try and have a little patience.
I really wanna start over again
I know you wanna be my salvation
The one that I can always depend
I tried to be strong,
Believe me I'm trying to move on
It's complicated but understand me*
Cuz this scar runs so deep
It's been hard but I have to believe
Have a little patience.. Have a little patience*
Ah well it's something like that. It's a really fantastic song. ugh my fasche ish sho irritating. Hopefully it won't bleed tonight. Bah. Ah well. going to do some work I guess. Nightey!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm home! :) :) :) :) :) It feels so good to be home again! hee yesterday was really really hectic though.. Well, maybe it wasn't. But it was really really fun. :) We were supposed to meet at the Brandon Park bus stop at 10, but due to massive miscommunication (because of me :( ) we ended up meeting around 1045. I went to collect my notes that Paul borrowed from me and then we ended up talking at the Roberts hall area. Then all of a sudden, Eugene popped out of no where and asked Paul to look after his stuff and asked me to help him open the Richo door because he needed to pass something to Perryn. So he met Perryn and I went to my room to get my luggage. After that someone knocked on my door and it was Eugene, who offered to help me carry my stuff down, which I thought was really sweet :) aw. So we were loitering at the Richo stairs, when Kaihan called me to bring my stuff to put into the car. When we opened the boot there was this gigantic bag already there, which was Eugene's. -.- when my luggage got in, there was only space for 1 more piece of luggage and at that moment, shu came dragging her luggage, which was also quite big. Then we were all wondering what would happen to wd's luggage. Actually zx was dragging shu's luggage haha. :) I still had a box with me.. -.- so Eugene took it. When we drove to mannix, wd had 2 gigantic pieces of luggage, so the boot had to be repacked and Kaihan could not see out of his rear window. and Paul was in the car too, so there were 6 of us squeezed inside and when wd tried to get in and close the door, it just kept on rebounding off his hip -.- I felt like a sardine.
Then kh drove us to Chaddy where shu and I each bought 24 krispy kremes, which we then brought back to the car and there was the problem of how we were going to squeeze in again. This time, the door was open on Eugene's side and once again, there was a problem closing it. haha then wd was telling him what a big butt he had. quite amusing.
had lunch at hungry jacks then we shopped a little bit and went to the arcade for a while. When we went in, sy and i dumped our stuff with the guys and went to the book store :) oh and at customs, the officer asked me whether i was carrying more than $10 000, and I said no, upon which she said "you spent them all on krispy kremes didn't you?"
On the plane, we spent the first 3 or 4 hours just watching movies and each of us doing our own thing. AND when we first boarded, the guys went in first, followed by sy and me. They walked down a different aisle from the two of us, and when we got to our seats (the 4 of us got the middle row :) ), we realised that wd and eugene had both taken the aisle seats, so we were forced to the centre -.- then after all the movies and stuff, we played bridge, tai tee, the other game where 4 cards have to make 21 and slap jack, which was really chaotic. sy kept on winning! :) it was quite a fun trip just that the people sitting behind us were so noisy -.- heck.
When we landed, we got our stuff, and just want to thank my dear px, hy, paulee and osh for going to the airport to get me :) -hugs- love you guys :) then mom and dad came to pick me up and it was so nice seeing everyone again. It is ridiculously hot though. when we walked onto the airwalk, the blast of the heat and humidity was horrible and I was telling shu, "can you feel that?!" and she was like, "uggghhhhhhh" haha. then the 4 of us parted :) ah.. I do miss everyone already though. :(
Dad let me drive home, and mom was panicky but I think I drive pretty well. :D Paulee came over for a while and we were all talking then after that i sent him home. This morning when I woke up, I felt like i was back in my room in richo, but at the same time, I knew I was home.. It was quite a weird feeling. I still haven't unpacked yet and the krispy kremes have been attacked by the family :) but oh well.
It's so nice to be home.. there's a lot of things I want to say but I can't put them in words just yet.. but I do miss Melbourne already. Especially the 15 degree weather :)
